cant argue with your list. every summer i try to watch Jaws, Meatballs & Bad News Bears (original not terrible remake). Summer School & Vacation are also two of my favorites. Notice your slip calling Summer School Summer Rental both directed by Carl Reiner.

The best classic summer movie for me is Flipper.

I love the Great Outdoors. It was one of my favourite films growing up. That friggin' bear, man!
American Graffiti has been on my list for a while.
Its so good and they used to use that bear in a lot of movies now its all cgi and always takes me out of the film! They even used a cgi dog in Call of the wild it looks incredibly fake! I don’t rewatch American Graffiti as much as the others but I think you’ll enjoy it.
Great list, but needs some Burbs in there.
The Burbs is one that I save for the end of summer leading into fall always felt it had both vibes but now you mentioned it I’ll be watching it later! Great Joe Dante film.
