Oh God, has it really been four years? These were some of my favorite videos back when they were coming out and I have distinct memories of waiting impatiently for each one, but I'd thought it was in 2015 or so, not four years ago! I feel old.

I think this the one video that changed my life. I’ve watched PBG for years, I picked up his videos around his first video where he was associated with Normal Boots, and watched his videos to watch something when I was bored, especially when I got back from school. But this video, THIS VIDEO, had such a profound impact on my humor, and my interest in older video games. It was so impactful I constantly made references to this video, and even forced my friends to watch it when they came over. Even in 2024, nothing has changed. Thanks, Peebs :)

Fun fact: I played this on an Emulator, configured the controls so the jump button is anything but up, and would you guess it? I kinda liked the game. It was playable. I liked farming for Rubies/Snowballs/Fireballs, or at least it was tolerable, because they were in areas where they played some of the best music from the game. Can't say the same for Wand of Gamelon and Zelda's Adventure, those are shit. Also, the canonical errors present in this game are because it was being made before A Link to the Past, and the developers drawed influence from the comic book/cartoons, they designed the characters, and presented them to Nintendo, they liked it so much that they even designed Link and Zelda from A Link to the Past from the game's cover. Don't believe me? check out Hyrule Historia, there's a picture of Zelda that is identical to the Zelda in the cover of Wand of Gamelon. It was just made on a time the series didn't knew it's identity. They also came up with the idea of multi-colored rupies, again, because this game was being developed before A Link to the Past. It's not the best game ever, the controls are clunky and barely function, but I don't think it's that bad of a game. It's just unintentionally hilarious and challenging, but hey, it's short.
Chung Seiker I usually don't believe if someone tells me if something is bad unless I personally play them, but even before I played it I knew something was off, ALL reviews of FoE I've seen, including the AVGN review did not explain well how the game functioned, and I can forgive AVGN, because that's what how his character acts, but I can't forget people that refuse to find one single positive thing about the game, even worse, people that haven't even played the game! What's the fun with only pointing out the flaws of something when you could be highlighting the fantastic soundtrack, and sweet backgrounds this game throws at you constantly? also, the story is not that bad either, the dialogue and execution is terrible, though. Felt good to hit enemies, they exploded and the sound effect felt real nice, the same as picking rubies, they were shiny and bright and pretty, and when you stab them they make this cute sound that makes me wanna farm more.
One thing I'm noticing is that a lot of people still don't know is that You Tube Poops are still being made to this day; they're just not using the CDI source material as much as they used (I wouldn't blame them, considering that they're overused now).

I think the "see my house" rant is the angriest I've ever seen PBG. That.... that takes some doing. I'm pretty sure even the MySims games have never garnered that much anger.
My computer seemed to despise the game so much that when PBG was about to say its name for the first time at around the 50 second mark. It stopped the video and crashed. Wow.

even after all this time, pbg bribing jeff to play CDI is one of my favorite pbg moments of all.
Fun fact: I played this on an Emulator, configured the controls so the jump button is anything but up, and would you guess it? I kinda liked the game. It was playable. I liked farming for Rubies/Snowballs/Fireballs, or at least it was tolerable, because they were in areas where they played some of the best music from the game.
Can't say the same for Wand of Gamelon and Zelda's Adventure, those are shit.
Also, the canonical errors present in this game are because it was being made before A Link to the Past, and the developers drawed influence from the comic book/cartoons, they designed the characters, and presented them to Nintendo, they liked it so much that they even designed Link and Zelda from A Link to the Past from the game's cover. Don't believe me? check out Hyrule Historia, there's a picture of Zelda that is identical to the Zelda in the cover of Wand of Gamelon. It was just made on a time the series didn't knew it's identity.
They also came up with the idea of multi-colored rupies, again, because this game was being developed before A Link to the Past.
It's not the best game ever, the controls are clunky and barely function, but I don't think it's that bad of a game. It's just unintentionally hilarious and challenging, but hey, it's short.

I usually don't believe if someone tells me if something is bad unless I personally play them, but even before I played it I knew something was off, ALL reviews of FoE I've seen, including the AVGN review did not explain well how the game functioned, and I can forgive AVGN, because that's what how his character acts, but I can't forget people that refuse to find one single positive thing about the game, even worse, people that haven't even played the game! What's the fun with only pointing out the flaws of something when you could be highlighting the fantastic soundtrack, and sweet backgrounds this game throws at you constantly? also, the story is not that bad either, the dialogue and execution is terrible, though.
Felt good to hit enemies, they exploded and the sound effect felt real nice, the same as picking rubies, they were shiny and bright and pretty, and when you stab them they make this cute sound that makes me wanna farm more.
