Excellent video - my first 70.3. Living in London makes it quite hard to prep for the course, however cycling around Surrey and Kent certainly has prepped me for the hills. Thanks for the video!

Nice! Try get a sprint or Olympic in before so you can see how it all feels, Ironmans can be quite overwhelming if it’s your first!
@@LewisfromUA-cam had loads of advice from some of my friends and colleagues who have done Ironmans before. Coming from Pembrokeshire I have loads of hills in my area to practice around 😂
@@Giannuzzi98 I mean just the whole day 😂 swim starts, transitions, logistics…good to know before the day, not just the race!

Just done the course, that climb from Parkmill to Lunnon is BRUTAL. Hit my peak 1 min all time power and then that decent from Lunnon to Ilston is frankly a joke, cannot believe thats been put in, so dangerous with the thin road, loose surface and blind corners. Everyone be super careful and steady there, wouldnt say thats the point to be looking to pick up speed.
Spoken to IM & the council about the decent, it will be fully swept before the race 🧹

@@LewisfromUA-cam thats good to know, the hill is good fun to be fair, but can see a lot of people getting caught out by it.
