@@michellekercy4430 In Thailand, the father of child born out of wedlock need to sign two documents: the birth certificate and the acknowledge of paternity. Mike signed the birth certificate since the beginning but somehow Maxwell's mom didn't allow him to sign the acknowledged paternity.

It's unfortunate that the mother is incredibly unreasonable in her demands and that apparently she's looking at Mike to finance her lifestyle for her and her two children, one of which doesn't belong to him. Clearly she needs to get a freaking JOB! I saw in another interview that he's seriously thinking about dropping his lawsuit against her naming him as a legal parent and sacrifice not seeing his son and holding onto his funds and giving it to Maxwell when he is of age. As long as he can communicate with Maxwell and reinforce the fact that he is loved and missed by his Father and that he hasn't abandoned is all he wants. Mike is a true gentleman, comparing to other guys being a dad at young age. Some may not be as responsible as him, that’s why I wish and hope Mike got the custody of his child and one day find someone that truly loved them both. I’m very proud of him fighting for his rights to his son. I went through this battle for my son to see his son, too! It’s very stressful going to court and it affects the child. We had to go through this battle twice. ANW, I hope he gets a fair trial for his son and that he has a good lawyer. My advice, read the disclosure of where the child cannot be move from another state or country. Coz, that’s what we missed on our first battle that was closed coz they moved him to another state which so inconvenient for us to see my grandson. So, make sure you read all disclosures. I swear I tear up for him like really! He is an awesome dad ! He works his ass off in China to earn the money to give to his ex wife & raise his son. He doesnt takes a break. The minute he step into thailand, the 1st he does is to spend time with his son. Like im mixed thai and im god damn mad with his ex wife , she just wants money . Custody battles are always horrible... especially when both parents are loving and caring about their children but can't agree to terms with each other... But I have to say my personal to a woman who is a mother, denying someone who is a father willing to co-exist and want to see his child and be a part of his life I do not understand? This public cdb will hurt Maxwell in the longrun... She can't lie to him. Because it is all public news. And when he grows older he will inevitably find out, no matter how hard she fights for him... that his father fought for him the right to be with him to!! And that is something she will NEVER be able to deny. No matter how happy she is with her new family and baby... of course Max should be with his loving mother.. but he has a loving biological father too, so he is very lucky... I'm on Mike's side. Because as a teacher I've seen my fair share of kids caught in the middle of these things.. bad custody battles where one part has been denied to pick up children from school and where we have been told we can't legally deny them to pick up their children but we have to alert authorities once they so.. but also better cases where love just fell out but they could not agree to terms and it became ugly because the pair competed who loves the child the most instead of actually caring what is best for the child... So I've also seen bad father's and even worse mothers... Mike is a good person. Willing and able to care for his son. Why make excuses to deny him from seeing his son? I will never understand. Not compared to other cases I have experienced... it will only affect Max badly in the end if his mother behaves in this uncooperative way... believe me... I've seen it 12 times too many... I'm not a teacher anymore... I'm changing professions.. because being a teacher broke my heart.. I was a substitute up until this christmas but I am done... I see children there all day .. hours on end.. knowing their parents get off at 14.. but picks their children up at 17.. because they are inconvenient to bring places etc etc and one mother I scolded for her neglectful behavior, would drop the kid off early in the morning (opening time) to go to work. But one day when I got off early after opening I went to my hairdresser for a haircut at 15. And I met here there she was scheduled for a dyejob and styling that takes 3 hours, she was so happy talking loud about going from black to strawberry blonde..... it broke my heart... knowing The kid was at the school from 6.15-6.30 (open to close.. basically the first kid to come and the last to leave) and it happened on more than one occasion.. upon some digging... it turned out she was only working part time.. but she had her kid full time at the daycare... the kid always came with dirty diapers and it was a whole mess.... and the loving father had no idea... she had cute pictures all over instagram with her child. But reality was.. maybe 5 minutes attention during the dag and then bedtime at 7.30 ... the dad told us he thought she always picked him up at 14 because she only worked from 7-13 every day... 🙄 she'd tell him she picked the child up... but our version we heard was different... dad worked full time in another town.. he was gone from 6-19 with a 1.5 hour commute... he rarely saw his kid during the weekdays. And during weekends they had said it's "Dad's quality time" so he had never questioned why she would stay away from the kid on the weekends ans hang out with her friends so they could spend quality time together.... oh that story was awful... there was another where a father in a divorced couple would occasionally forget it was his pick up day.. and we'd have to call them to sort out who was picking the kid up because nobody came. This drove the mother so angry she filed for sole custody and won, but she allowed the father visiting hours without hesitation, since he was a good father just not very organized and at times very forgetfull... they are good friends but their love died out. I'm friends with the father in this case. The mother I am aquainted she is very understanding. And she would never deny him visitaition even if she is remarried and has last I heard, 1 more child and another on the wat... she still tells her oldest child who is the real father is and how much he loves his child. Mike's not that kind of neglectful or forgetful parent... he genuinely cares and wants to be there. So I don't understand this at all. Living in another country not even a problem there are planes these days? Holidays and weekends can be planned out? He wants to be legally acknowledged as the father. Not take the child away... he just don't want to give his son up... I can't see why there needs to be a prevention campaign from mother's side? In the future.. and in the now. Max will know all about this. And I hope he understands everything that is being done for him and how ❤ he is by everyone involved.

I don’t know how I came across this video, but I’ve watched this and then did my own (very short research) Someone commented in another video that Mike had given up his rights to Max not too long ago, but was still willing to pay for Max’s expenses. I hope that is not the case and I hope that Mike keeps fighting for his rights as Max’s dad. What a sad and horrible situation for this father and son. Hopefully this court system honors the fact that Mike has always been there for his son and realizes that Max’s mother can’t have sole custody just because she’s his mom. There are so many deadbeat dads in the world and Mike gives hope that their are still real men out there that deserve the title “Dad”. Praying for Mike and Max. This is heartbreaking.

Mike is a true gentleman, comparing to other guys being a dad at young age. Some may not be as responsible as him, that’s why I wish and hope Mike got the custody of his child and one day find someone that truly loved them both. I’m very proud of him fighting for his rights to his son. I went through this battle for my son to see his son, too! It’s very stressful going to court and it affects the child. We had to go through this battle twice. ANW, I hope he gets a fair trial for his son and that he has a good lawyer. My advice, read the disclosure of where the child cannot be move from another state or country. Coz, that’s what we missed on our first battle that was closed coz they moved him to another state which so inconvenient for us to see my grandson. So, make sure you read all disclosures. Custody battles are always horrible... especially when both parents are loving and caring about their children but can't agree to terms with each other...
But I have to say my personal to a woman who is a mother, denying someone who is a father willing to co-exist and want to see his child and be a part of his life I do not understand? This public cdb will hurt Maxwell in the longrun...
She can't lie to him. Because it is all public news. And when he grows older he will inevitably find out, no matter how hard she fights for him... that his father fought for him the right to be with him to!!
And that is something she will NEVER be able to deny. No matter how happy she is with her new family and baby... of course Max should be with his loving mother.. but he has a loving biological father too, so he is very lucky... I'm on Mike's side.
Because as a teacher I've seen my fair share of kids caught in the middle of these things.. bad custody battles where one part has been denied to pick up children from school and where we have been told we can't legally deny them to pick up their children but we have to alert authorities once they so.. but also better cases where love just fell out but they could not agree to terms and it became ugly because the pair competed who loves the child the most instead of actually caring what is best for the child... So I've also seen bad father's and even worse mothers...
Mike is a good person. Willing and able to care for his son. Why make excuses to deny him from seeing his son? I will never understand. I see children there all day .. hours on end.. knowing their parents get off at 14.. but picks their children up at 17.. because they are inconvenient to bring places etc etc and one mother I scolded for her neglectful behavior, would drop the kid off early in the morning (opening time) to go to work. But one day when I got off early after opening I went to my hairdresser for a haircut at 15. And I met here there she was scheduled for a dyejob and styling that takes 3 hours, she was so happy talking loud about going from black to strawberry blonde..... it broke my heart... knowing
The kid was at the school from 6.15-6.30 (open to close.. basically the first kid to come and the last to leave) and it happened on more than one occasion.. upon some digging... it turned out she was only working part time.. but she had her kid full time at the daycare... the kid always came with dirty diapers and it was a whole mess.... and the loving father had no idea... she had cute pictures all over instagram with her child. But reality was.. maybe 5 minutes attention during the dag and then bedtime at 7.30 ... the dad told us he thought she always picked him up at 14 because she only worked from 7-13 every day... 🙄 she'd tell him she picked the child up... but our version we heard was different... dad worked full time in another town.. he was gone from 6-19 with a 1.5 hour commute... he rarely saw his kid during the weekdays. And during weekends they had said it's "Dad's quality time" so he had never questioned why she would stay away from the kid on the weekends ans hang out with her friends so they could spend quality time together.... oh that story was awful... there was another where a father in a divorced couple would occasionally forget it was his pick up day.. and we'd have to call them to sort out who was picking the kid up because nobody came. This drove the mother so angry she filed for sole custody and won, but she allowed the father visiting hours without hesitation, since he was a good father just not very organized and at times very forgetfull... they are good friends but their love died out. I'm friends with the father in this case. The mother I am aquainted she is very understanding. And she would never deny him visitaition even if she is remarried and has last I heard, 1 more child and another on the wat... she still tells her oldest child who is the real father is and how much he loves his child.
Mike's not that kind of neglectful or forgetful parent... he genuinely cares and wants to be there.
So I don't understand this at all. Living in another country not even a problem there are planes these days? Holidays and weekends can be planned out?
He wants to be legally acknowledged as the father. Not take the child away... he just don't want to give his son up... I can't see why there needs to be a prevention campaign from mother's side?

I don’t know how I came across this video, but I’ve watched this and then did my own (very short research)
Someone commented in another video that Mike had given up his rights to Max not too long ago, but was still willing to pay for Max’s expenses. I hope that is not the case and I hope that Mike keeps fighting for his rights as Max’s dad. What a sad and horrible situation for this father and son. Hopefully this court system honors the fact that Mike has always been there for his son and realizes that Max’s mother can’t have sole custody just because she’s his mom. There are so many deadbeat dads in the world and Mike gives hope that their are still real men out there that deserve the title “Dad”.

The case is not closed yet. Due to the COVID breakout in Thailand, the next mediation was postponed until March.
