Loved the show as always, but I was surprised Richie didn’t talk about Liam Andrews. Really interested in where we stand with him after his South Carolina visit. I keep hearing SC did well with him.
We have not lost them quite yet, everyone!!! Also, keep this in mind, the kids always change their minds like the weather, and until they sign, and if we handle business and have a fantastic season, things can change!!!! WE ARE
You all sound like typical Penn State fans. Any sign of trouble and the sky is falling!! It is June 2023, let see how the season turns out before we right off recruits. MSU still needs to show they can win there.
You are absolutely right!!!! We have the number 6 class in the nation right now, and it is early and till they sign in December or February it doesn't matter or mean all doom and gloom!!!!! WE ARE
They can and they will. Tyseer Denmark is a good win. I tried explaining it as best as I could in the second segment. While not defined to a certain amount, each school has a salary cap of its own making. Penn State budgets certain NIL packages for their prime targets. Penn State might set aside more money for player A, while Michigan State has more money for player B. - Zach
On academic side: Wisconsin is top 27 in the WORLD..Florida is top 5 public education, Duke is Duke, Stanford is Stanford, and PSU has very solid majors, esp if you are interested in engineering. So they are all solid education options.
We haven't lost any commits till December early signing period, and we have a good chance to get some of them back in the fold, with winning 👍!!!!! That and NIL improvement will make a difference Nittany nation!!!! 👍 WE ARE
We are Penn State. We should be able to yell that with pride. But in the end, we are the same old same old Penn State. We can't seem to hit on the big players. We only manage to get the 3 star leftovers.
Well, I disagree with you on that!!!! We are number 6 in the nation in the recruiting class right now, and Franklin and our staff work their asses off recruiting, and it shows!!!! WE ARE so damn deep in talent and depth and it is already showing, and I totally believe we are going to turn the corner this season!!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled
@@kevinchandler179 The staff we have is awesome and are working incredibly hard. We do have a lot of talent, but we typically don't get the same caliber players that OSU, Alabama, and the other elite schools get. We seem to always be a tier below them. Although, we did get Allar, Singleton, and a few others in that class. That class was the exception. We can't seem to land those guys consistently.
Zach, you guys mentioned PSU offers more NIL money for elite priority recruits as opposed to regular recruit's. How much does PSU offer priority recruits? With regular recruits it's been mentioned they get around $50k year one and it goes up $5k each yr....EX) $50k yr1...$55-60k yr 2...$60-65k yr 3.....So how much do elite targets get?
I can't speak on this entirely. I do not know what Penn State offers to each recruit vs. another school. But think of it almost like an NFL pay structure. First round picks get more money than a 7th rounder. Also, a school might value a prospect more than Penn State, and offer more NIL in the process, like free agency. - Zach
I agree, Gonzo and the kid from from Florida, who is a burner and reminds me of K.J. Hamler a little bit!!!! We have to look at it differently, because we can't get greedy!!! We were all worried about receiving recruiting and we got 3 in the matter of a few days, and complaining about the one we didn't get?????? Franklin and staff didn't have time to wait on Marsh or any other ones!!!! WE ARE
When will ethan grunkemeyer ratings go up? I listen to PSU podcasts from all recruiting companies and they all say he’ll go up but its been a while, maybe i just dont get it
Recruiting rankings are adjusted all together, typically. Not on a player by player basis. The next time an outlet updates its overall rankings, Ethan Grunkemeyer will see a boost. - Zach
Getting three wide receivers in this class is still a plus. With the addition of Tyseer Denmark, that helps offset the potential loss of Nick Marsh. - Zach
They didn't screw themselves, because Franklin knows that these are 17 and 18 year old kids, and he has to keep recruiting hard, in case these things happen, and remember Nittany nation, every single program goes through this as well!!!! 🤦♂️
Man so NFL Wideouts must suck because at the combine less than 25 wideouts ran sub 4.5. Wideouts who ran 4.5 and above are bums like All-Pros like Davonte Adams and CeeDee Lamb. Also all-pro AJ Brown ran a 4.49. Those guys are very average.
Loved the show as always, but I was surprised Richie didn’t talk about Liam Andrews. Really interested in where we stand with him after his South Carolina visit. I keep hearing SC did well with him.
Umeh seemed like project to me wish him well wherever he goes. Not getting marsh would suck.
Marsh has always been overrated and I've said that from day 1. He runs a friggin 4.68...forty and Michigan and ND showed little interest.
Peter Gonzalez will be better than Marsh. Gonzo's testing numbers much better.

Thanks Zach and Ritchie good show and I wish Penn State could compete with the other schools as far as the NIL goes

Some of those 3 stars are in the NFL

We better get some DL especially DTs!
Need defensive linemen in general. June was Coach Hagans' month, let's see if July can be Coach Barnes'.
Marsh would of easily been #1 WR this class he developing and improving fast. But guys we got are absolutely good enough.
Tyseer Denmark, Josiah Brown, and Peter Gonzalez are all gamers. - Zach
PSU wanted to get size to play that big X-WR. Mark my words Gonzo will be the better than Marsh for that big WR!
@@PSU2024gonzo sounds almost to good to be true 63 4.5 speed? Legit.
@@Ty-ml7ze Yes legit. He's very underrated.

Umeh just doesn’t love football that much obviously. Forget about the degree part he’s not about being the best player he can be.

Marsh have anyone to throw to him at MSU?
Aiden Chiles
Penn State screwed themselves because they were chasing way too many receivers to get Marsh , but Michigan State will be a bad team again this year ?

A 4.5 for a WR is average at best
For Peter Gonzalez, it's impressive given his size and recovery from a leg injury. He will get faster. - Zach
For a highschool WR whos huge and was injured???? Idk man…..

I'm not a big fan of the WR 's they got so far they are all possession wr they have a whole room full of those guys
Richie, did MamaTron set you straight on this😂 It's not always about the bag!
