    Fantastic. Small question though, both micrite and cement are CaCO3 basically carbonate, arent they? (I couldnt wait until the end of the video may be will be explained later 😂)

      Yes both are calcium carbonate, and micrite is in fact considered a type of cement!

      The dfference is that cement is chemical precipitation after deposition, so it's all stuck together, that's what makes it so hard.
      Micrite is composed of tiny loose CaCO3 particles, that come from living creatures.
      It's a stuck vs loose thing.
