@Natsukinon PD means Photography Director. They're usually off camera and tell the cameramen what to shoot and how to shoot it which is why at the beginning he did the camera check. An MC or Emcee is basically a host. They're on camera, talk or ask questions, and overall just make sure the show keeps progressing. Here, Shin Jung Hwan is taking both the role of PD and MC to make a more entertaining variety show.
