So when I was young and I invited my friend and made birthday invitations and no one really came except family which ended pretty badly and I don't see my dad a lot. it's hard cause as you get older you just watch as everyone just slowly stops caring about your birthday and its not like it slowly happens it just hits you in the face and it hurts but after a little bit you just get used to it

This year, and last year I have watched this when it hit midnight of my birthday. It reminds me how people have always thought of me as the weird kid. This year I told all my friends about my birthday and stuff. The only happy birthdays I got was from my close family, and two people I barely know. And wonder how they knew it was my birthday coming up. I've stopped having birthday parties, having any type of bakery type dessert, special things to do on my birthday and so on. Last year I just stayed at home and watched Death Note all day. This year I'm watching movies all day (half of them are horror) and hiding away in my bedroom. When I was about to turn 12, my baby brother was about to turn one year old. His birthday is on July 5th while mine is on July 17th. We decided to throw a birthday party for him and my family came. We did the usual stuff, though they could only stay for a short while. No one really ate the cake and my brother was crying by the end of the "Happy Birthday" song, kinda a waste of money, but I don't mind. Before they sang the song, I overheard that my family couldn't come over for my birthday. I wasn't too upset, but then I thought that it meant that they threw a party for my baby brother, but not me.. I don't really enjoy social gatherings, but it makes me sad to think that not only could they not come, but they didn't think about me at all. Each time my birthday has been coming around recently, nobody knows what to get me, which is okay! I don't even know what to get myself anymore.. anyways, that was only last year. This year I'm turning 13. Should I want a birthday? I don't think so, I want people to forget my birthday even existed. Maybe I'll just tell my mom not to do anything, and I'll just buy a small cupcake from the store instead, then eat it.. in the dark.. in my room.. alone... This reminds me of when my first birthday was, which was when i was 12. It was my first birthday, not party though. That was when i was 15. I tried inviting people, but they would say thanks and throw it away when they thought i wasn't looking. Nobody came that day. I'm about to be 17 in sep, and still come back to this video every time I think about it, my family never celebrated my birthday after I turned 10, when my brother was born. and then a year later my friends stopped celebrating, nobody remembered it, only came for my brothers birthdays, which I understand, celebrate the child and make memories, but they couldn't even remember the date for mine, or even say happy birthday at all.. It hurts because even my father made a whole post for my step sister for her birthday, with a whole paragraph about how much of an amazing daughter she is and how he loves her all that(she's in her 20s) yet he couldn't even remember my birthday.. I began to feel like I wasn't enough and all that, and for years I hated my birthday. I ended up shutting out most family members after i turned 13 and over time, especially once iI was 15, I slowly started drifting from my friends, now that I'll be 17 in a couple months I don't even know if anyone will remember my birthday but at the same time I don't even know if I want them to now:/

10 years ago today i decited to celebrate my birthday. I planned the party for weeks and invited all my friends and family to come, i was so ecxited to finally celebrate with all the people i love. None of my family members could make it but it wasnt that dramatic for me because I still had my friends to celebrate with until they all started ignoring me at my own party and only talked to my older brother or each other. That night i cried myself to sleep and promised myself that everything would be better next year. 9 years ago today I wanted to give a birthday party another try so I once again spent week planning everything out. Once again I invited all of my friends and family and of course none of my family could make it again. About half of my friends told me they already had plans and the other half just didnt show without saying anything. Later that week i found out that they all went to go bowling together without me. That was the last time I celebrated my birthday and now my bithday is best described by this video.
Damn the video itself didn't make me cry but this comment did I hope you never get to feel anything remotely close to that ever again Just know that even though bad experiences might stick with you theres always many different ways to have fun / celebrate and fill the gap I hope you feel a tad bit better now

A few years ago I had a birthday party (I was around 11) and I invited 8 people. Earlier in that year people were spreading rumors about me and my friends hated me. But I didn't know that. So two people told me they couldn't go, and everyone else no matter how much I asked they either said they kept forgetting to ask their parents or wouldn't answer and walk away. At least one person showed up but it was the person I didn't really like but since it was only two of us we went to a hotel and invited one other kid that was in the area that we knew but I only got 2 happy birthdays that week even though I reminded everyone over and over because I was excited. So I ended up crying on my birthday and I'm not celebrating anymore because of it. I would go to other peoples parties but no one invites me anymore
This reminds me of how my parents always did all this stuff for my sister’s party they had always gone all out for her parties They never really did that for me and when I was maybe eleven I went down stairs on my birthday expecting all this stuff like they did for her but there was nothing since then I’ve always asked when peoples bdays are and I put them in my phone so they know I care.
This year reminded me of this because I woke up on bday and my sister came in my room telling me happy birthday which was nice but my parents never said happy bday to me I got my presents at the end of the day my sister got me a book that I know my mom got for her to give to me I always give my sister a homemade card and a few things I know she wanted

i relate for my 12th bday, i invited about half my class. nobody showed up out of the 7 people i invited, not even my friends. the only people that celebrated with me were my grandmother, dad, and my 2 neighbors (adults). unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2021 due to c-19 and i had to celebrate my 14th bday without him for the first time. he would always be at my birthday parties. about the neighbors and my grandma, i moved to another town away from everyone, and my grandma lives in Florida now. i dont really know if i needed to spill out my whole life story, but i thought this video was saddening since it hit hard for me.
Man, I’ve never actually had a birthday by myself before. But as I got older... it started to become less and less fun... I always thought that birthdays were the one day of the year when you can get all the attention for once. Even when I turned 13, none of my close friends showed up. But some did, at least that’s something right? But even though friends did show up I still spent most of my time on a chair in the corner watching my siblings play with the friends that did show up. This is the harsh reality of growing up. My mum and dad always said “ enjoy being a kid, cuz it won’t last FOREVER.” So... enjoy life while you’re still young.
Ah every time I hear this audio I cry but I feel like it’s going hit really hard when I grow up because to be completely honest I don’t see myself celebrating my birthday anymore. Because recently my best friend, my only friend.. said that they can’t be friends with me anymore because personal reasons I will not say or discuss. But ever since then I’ve seen myself being more unhappy and alone every day, ever since that day I find myself weaker and weaker from my thoughts and my families words. This reminds me of when my first birthday was, which was when i was 12. It was my first birthday, not party though. That was when i was 15. I tried inviting people, but they would say thanks and throw it away when they thought i wasn't looking. Nobody came that day. Nobody really even tells me happy bday, which is why i never go do anything that has to do with birthdays or holidays cause it reminds me of when nobody cared.

I'm about to be 17 in sep, and still come back to this video every time I think about it, my family never celebrated my birthday after I turned 10, when my brother was born. and then a year later my friends stopped celebrating, nobody remembered it, only came for my brothers birthdays, which I understand, celebrate the child and make memories, but they couldn't even remember the date for mine, or even say happy birthday at all.. It hurts because even my father made a whole post for my step sister for her birthday, with a whole paragraph about how much of an amazing daughter she is and how he loves her all that(she's in her 20s) yet he couldn't even remember my birthday.. I began to feel like I wasn't enough and all that, and for years I hated my birthday. I ended up shutting out most family members after i turned 13 and over time, especially once iI was 15, I slowly started drifting from my friends, now that I'll be 17 in a couple months I don't even know if anyone will remember my birthday but at the same time I don't even know if I want them to now:/
I know it's late but happy birthday. Maybe somewhere in this god forsaken world you could fine someone to celebrate your 18th birthday with. Just had my birthday a week ago and I saw this again and it reminds me of my birthday.
I got more birthday wishes from random strangers online than my actual friends and family. My boyfriend forgot about my birthday. My IRL friends don't care. I feel like I'm getting to old for this but I still do it every year to feel like a kid again. I don't want to grow up until I get that one birthday where everybody shows up and I know everything is going to be okay

It’s my birthday today,and I have decided I will watch this every year on my birthday.
This reminds me of how when i was 9 i had a birthday party and only 4 people out of like 31 came and only my 2 sisters friends came and 2 other people from school vale and zara i will never forget that birthday i was so sad afterwards but my mom told me “next year there will be more” since then i just stopped trying and only have a sleepover with like 1 person.I feel so sorry to whoever felt the same but please remeber u are loved!Also have a happy birthday everyone out there seeing this!

10 years ago today i decited to celebrate my birthday. I planned the party for weeks and invited all my friends and family to come, i was so ecxited to finally celebrate with all the people i love.
None of my family members could make it but it wasnt that dramatic for me because I still had my friends to celebrate with until they all started ignoring me at my own party and only talked to my older brother or each other. That night i cried myself to sleep and promised myself that everything would be better next year.
9 years ago today I wanted to give a birthday party another try so I once again spent week planning everything out. Once again I invited all of my friends and family and of course none of my family could make it again. About half of my friends told me they already had plans and the other half just didnt show without saying anything. Later that week i found out that they all went to go bowling together without me.
That was the last time I celebrated my birthday and now my bithday is best described by this video.

Ok but why is this so relatable-
2 months ago it was my 15th birthday and i spent it being alone in my dark room throwing up, drinking, doing mdma and listening to music. It took me waking up on the floor covered in vomit and sweat to finally realise how alone i truly am

it's been 4 years since anyone even barely remembers my bday. when I ask my mother why she said that Birthdays are useless and we all are going to die anyway. so I think, why bother making people tell you happy bday, or stuff like that when you could be the one doing that? A few years ago I had a birthday party (I was around 11) and I invited 8 people. Earlier in that year people were spreading rumors about me and my friends hated me. But I didn't know that. So two people told me they couldn't go, and everyone else no matter how much I asked they either said they kept forgetting to ask their parents or wouldn't answer and walk away. At least one person showed up but it was the person I didn't really like but since it was only two of us we went to a hotel and invited one other kid that was in the area that we knew but I only got 2 happy birthdays that week even though I reminded everyone over and over because I was excited. So I ended up crying on my birthday and I'm not celebrating anymore because of it. I would go to other peoples parties but no one invites me anymore

This reminds me of how my parents always did all this stuff for my sister’s party they had always gone all out for her parties They never really did that for me and when I was maybe eleven I went down stairs on my birthday expecting all this stuff like they did for her but there was nothing since then I’ve always asked when peoples bdays are and I put them in my phone so they know I care.
This year reminded me of this because I woke up on bday and my sister came in my room telling me happy birthday which was nice but my parents never said happy bday to me I got my presents at the end of the day my sister got me a book that I know my mom got for her to give to me I always give my sister a homemade card and a few things I know she wanted
They always forget only one friend ever remembers and that’s how I realized my sister was always going to be the favorite
Btw I forgave my sister a while ago cause I realized she does other things to express love like getting me a donut when ever she goes out or giving me one of her books she knows I wanted

i relate for my 12th bday, i invited about half my class. nobody showed up out of the 7 people i invited, not even my friends. the only people that celebrated with me were my grandmother, dad, and my 2 neighbors (adults). unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2021 due to c-19 and i had to celebrate my 14th bday without him for the first time. he would always be at my birthday parties. about the neighbors and my grandma, i moved to another town away from everyone, and my grandma lives in Florida now.
i dont really know if i needed to spill out my whole life story, but i thought this video was saddening since it hit hard for me.

Man, I’ve never actually had a birthday by myself before. But as I got older... it started to become less and less fun... I always thought that birthdays were the one day of the year when you can get all the attention for once. Even when I turned 13, none of my close friends showed up. But some did, at least that’s something right? But even though friends did show up I still spent most of my time on a chair in the corner watching my siblings play with the friends that did show up. This is the harsh reality of growing up. My mum and dad always said “ enjoy being a kid, cuz it won’t last FOREVER.” So... enjoy life while you’re still young.
Ah every time I hear this audio I cry but I feel like it’s going hit really hard when I grow up because to be completely honest I don’t see myself celebrating my birthday anymore. Because recently my best friend, my only friend.. said that they can’t be friends with me anymore because personal reasons I will not say or discuss. But ever since then I’ve seen myself being more unhappy and alone every day, ever since that day I find myself weaker and weaker from my thoughts and my families words.
I’m really sorry for rambling and probably bring the mood down too huh? Haha.. but yeah I just wanted to vent and talk about my life I guess. Keep in mind it’s not all bad for me it’s just what’s happening to me at the moment, so I’m fine just a lot is happening right now.
