"For us, the storm has passed. The war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return." Never forget... :'(
Arbiter: Were it so easy. Halo 3 is the most emotional game in history, but it is the best game ever created and always will be. Live on my HALO friend. :'(
Not only the "Best" or "one of the best" games ever created. But Halo is also more for me. It is a Story about us Humans. About how far we can go. How far we can expand. And also in case of the Covenant , Halo clearly shows that blind hate and Racism against a Species without any real reason is the worst of all and leads only to death and destruction. Halo may be futuristic and very unrealistic but if you look behind all of it you see a Game that wants to be more than just a Game.
The nostalgia is almost too much, I can literally feel something physically in my chest and it's super bittersweet. It's not just the game that this song reminds me of, it reminds me of when I was younger and when everything was happy
I really can't stand it sometimes when people who first started playing Halo after Halo 3 claim that the newer Halo games are the best and the classic series isn't that good.
Halo 2 will always be my favorite I was super young and my brother who was in high school I would wait for him to come home and we would play together haha I'm 16 he is 27 now
To be completely honest? Any games released after Reach (Excluding Halo Wars 2) is not canonical in my eyes. I personally believe that Halo 3 is the end of Master Chief's story. Anything else regarding him, Arbiter, Cortana -- all of it is made up. Fanfiction. Like I said though, Halo Wars 2 is okay. I'll consider that canon.
God, fucking nostalgia! Reading all of the novels, playing all of the games. I first remembered picking up Halo Combat Evolved, thinking it would be a generic FPS, my god was I wrong. Playing and beating Halo with my friend on Legendary, and being hyped for the release of Halo 2. Beating Halo 3 was like finishing a long book, a book that lasted me almost a whole decade. I'm proud to be a fan of Halo, a series that truly stuck to my heart. Thank you Bungie, for making the best franchise any one could ask for.
I remember picking up Halo CE for PC one night in Dec 06 after cashing my 2nd shift paycheck at Walmart, I was relatively new to Games and figured I'd see what the fuss was about. Dude, as a piano player and lover of older/classical music styles, I was hooked before I got off the load screen. It's been a life long love affair since, and I largely credit the music being perfectly paired to the game.
Kosta Thomas yeah games like cod don't even know what to do anymore, BF is better, and Crisis 1-3 was probably closer to being like Halo then anything else, also can I get a r.i.p for a friend who committed suicide, I had this song played at his funeral, cuz he loved Halo, I even bought him Halo 4, I played it on his account in for him, since he didn't get to, I got him achievements and said, that ones for you buddy :')
Listening to this song really brings back the best memories of my childhood. playing halo with my older brother and best friends. I remember I got the original Xbox for my 6th birthday which came with halo 1 and 2. which I werent even aloud to play as they were to violent. so I would sit there watching my brother play and sneaking out late at night so I could play myself. my brother and I had some incredible times on halo 2. everyday and night we would play once I was aloud, then when I met my other friends who played it was just amazing us playing together 24/7 doing co op campaign or anything possible in halo 2. then when the 360 came out and we all played halo 3 together on live I just wish I could go back to those times playing infection and custom games were the best way to have fun with just the three of us. when my brother left home I wasn't really the same and I couldn't afford to keep my live so I played that game as much as possible whilst I still could. then as I was around 12 we all got halo reach and I could afford to keep my own Xbox live and play with my friends just like we did back on halo 3 and 2, we would study the campaign and take in every detail as halo really was our life back then. as soon as we hit highschool and halo 4 was released it never was the same fun and excitement as the other halos. we used to feel like we were the best of the best but we slowly drifted from Xbox after halo 4. haven't talked about this stuff in a long time but this soundtrack really does bring a tear to my eye and make me remember the best memories and times of my childhood. just wish I could go back and do it again.
+Alex McNesbit Been there done that, my last real touching game with everyone really going at it with either playing live, split screen and even system link probably had to be Halo Reach, never really did touch Halo 4. The best times I had were playing Halo 2 on the original Xbox, used to play that game with every kid in the neighborhood when we weren't causing trouble, stopping by the house to sit around a small old tv. I played Halo 2 on the original xbox live till the very end... until they shit it down.
+Alex McNesbit My story is actually almost the same as yours exept that i was maybe 3-4 years older than you. I feel you so bad man... Halo 1-2-3 are the best games i've played in my life.
I love this, halo 3 always reminds me of when my son was born, I'd be up and playing this till dawn when he couldn't settle, I'd hold him and the title screen and music would be on a loop on the TV.
This piece of music is what really started my gaming addiction. I thought I might share my first encounter with Halo with you all. I first played Halo when I was only nine years old. It was my friends birthday and he had gotten a whole new load of games for his Xbox 360. We went in to his conservatory (where he kept his Xbox) to try all of his new games out, but unfortunately only 2 of them had co-op play. We tried them out and I thought they were okay, but my friend said that Halo 3 was better. I had no clue what Halo 3 was, being only 9 and not in to video games yet. It was getting late now and the only reason we were awake was because of the ninety energy drinks his mum had left out for us. He popped Halo 3 in, and oh my god. It was the most spectacular game I had ever played. I had a PS2 when I was younger and had a couple of first person shooters like Timesplitters (which is still awesome) but Halo 3 was different. The amount of skill involved and the map design was breathtaking, and it was the greatest thing I had ever played. We had all been playing for about 2 hours and, needless to say, we all went to bed about 15 minutes later. We were all talking about Halo, how it was awesome, about all the skulls, about the easter eggs and everything before we all dozed off. I woke up about half way through the night, not feeling tired at all. I could hear the music playing from my friends conservatory. I got up and walked in to the blue glow emitted from the menu screen, and I sat there. I just listened to this great piece of music, not playing the game, just listening. It was the most beautiful song, and fitted the game perfectly, and I knew from that moment that I wanted an Xbox. And i'll always have my first impression of Halo 3.
I was 11 when i first played Halo to be exact it was Halo 2, back in the day i didn't have Xbox Live neither did i know it existed so i only played the campaign and when my friend's came we played multiplayer but my friend's sucked at the game so i alway's gave them a chance. I wish i could go back.
I love this community so much, reliving the glory days that halo gave us and will hopefully continue giving us. Thank you for your story, hopefully we'll meet in infinite and recapture those memories again.
So much nostalgia that I cried... I used to play halo 3 24/7, making maps for my friends and hosting massive lobbies on them, bear in mind i was only 9-10 years old at that point in time, it was an amazing moment in my life and people are recreating it for us. Thank you kyleandry and Bungie for all of the nostalgia that you have created for the Halo fans!
Years later, I’m still brought back to this video. Played Halo when I was a kid with my dad. I learned how to play the piano and this was one of the first songs I got to choose. Mastered it within a year and never forgot how to play it, even after years of not playing. Thank you Kyle. You may never see this but this song that you released when I was young renewed my interest in piano when I was on the verge of giving it up. It led me to a musical scholarship in college. Thank you.
*looks up at the sky as Covenant ships warped in above the planet. Then over the radio of s crashed warthog a song starts to play. It's soft, smooth, and oddly soothing despite the oncoming doom. Soon phantoms swarmed the planet. Last stands broke out and at the final one, this song played its climax with the battle cry of a falling marine* "For Reach!" *We will Never Forget*
I came late to the Halo party... in fact, I just finished playing Halo 3 all the way through for the first time only recently.... and now, even 8 years after it was released, I feel the story. It doesn't matter about the graphics or the way the game is played, the thing that makes the game so powerful is the story and how it grabs us.
You should definitely check out the books too. I recently finished fall of reach which is the first book and all I can say is wow even in literature Halo is amazing. Proud to be a Halo fan and always will be to my grave ;)
Beyond Gaming 117 I have been recommended to do that and I have wanted to but just haven't had the time. Planning on doing it soon though! Any particular suggestions?
spacemanandy2 id start off the with fall of reach for the basic understanding of Spartans and the flood is the sequel to The Fall of Reach. I'm not sure how it goes after those two but I'm sure there's a list online somewhere for u :D
I've been playing halo for a long time, but everyone here is talking about how halo WAS good.... It really isn't about the story, or graphics... It was about the people who u played with in the game... If u played halo u see a custom games tab, that's where all the good times are, I played custom matches where people created different maps and different game modes, and having a great time with friends... And to me, that's what halo was really about... Now that 343 is turnin halo into call of duty, it's just not the same... That's why we are all here sharing our story's, but thanks for reading my story.....
see, this is why I love halo so much, not just because of the amazing storyline, but the music too, its just fills you up, you immerse yourself in it, forgetting everything else, and for people to do this kind of thing just amazes me, it really makes you thin what we can really do, and how far we can go, great job
Martin O, Donnell is one of my favorite composers... I heard he got tired and I didn't even bother to get halo 4....Music was what made halo guys...think about...O, Donnell was the heart of the halo trilogy..he kept your head up in the flood missions, he kept you shooting with his piece finish the fight In the hornet mission in halo 3....You kids now a days don't know what real game quality is or what real music is...
Came here to honor Halo 3 before the servers shut down. One of the greatest videos of all time! Will miss ya Halo 3! We were so fortunate to get to play the original trilogy in its prime.
Cheers to the end of an golden era! Huzzah that we were able to live through and experience the awe that the original Halo trilogy provided us when it first came out 20 years ago!
"It was my job to protect you" "We were suppose to take care of each other, and we did" As we get older many of us become inactive to get on with our lives, but I tell you. It's better to burn out than to fade away... people may die, but there is no worse feeling than looking at the xbox 360 game menu and seeing your best friends from halo 3/reach gone.. One of my best mates who was in a clan I was in, who I played with everyday with our group, we had funny moments that kept us surviving and we had sad moments that kept us crying. the quote at the top means a lot to me because I found his profile and he was one of the only acitve ones left on xbox, I messaged him and his younger brother replied.. "he died 2 years ago of a heart attack" Ill never forget that one time when you roasted that one kid for stuttering like a car XD Ill never forget that one time you helped me with depression and most of all no matter what I will *never forget* you and our memories will be took to the grave
Having no internet and no friends Halo 3 really helped me have a fun time by myself spending hours in forge mode and creating maps to play with my cousin when he comes to visit it truly was a beautiful time and i wouldnt change it for the world! Thank you Bungie.
Thirteen years ago, I played Halo 3 for the first time. It wasn't the first time a sound track made me emotionally attached to a game. Halo 2 was the first and it wasn't the last. Each game has its place. Each game has its own memories. Each game, I realized I wasn't as happy as the last. I will never forget the feelings I had when playing them as a kid and I'll never forget them thirty years later. Spartans and Elites, whoever you chose, we finally stood together. We fought a powerful enemy and over came them together. Never forget where you came from. Remember the hero's that made the path you take today and maybe take that into your own life. We as humans are in this together. We must learn to be one once again like we did as Master Chief or The Arbiter. Just be sure to spread peace where possible my friends. Maybe we can make this planet worth living on.
I want to be buried with an xbox 360 and copies of all the halo games except Halo 5, and have this song play at my funeral. I would also like to have Deej and the rest of the Bungie employees there. Then suddenly be ressurected for a few seconds and be like, "In the afterlife, there better be copies of Halo 5 made by Bungie instead of 343."
I started playing halo 3 for the first time in years yesterday and when I heard this theme I suddenly fell in tears. It wasn’t just emotionless tears, it was tears full of emotions; happiness, sadness, nostalgia... Nothing will compare to those good old 2007 days.
I'll never forget the experiences I've gain and the fun times I've had from Halo 3, the vast majority of the people on my friends list I first met in Halo 3, or more specifically Halo 3 custom games
Ok this would be really cool if there was a movie scene with a soldier trying to patch a comrads wounds while dragging him into cover to avoid injury. He dies in the process but saves his comrads life
Halo 3 and Reach are just the best fecking years of my life. Alone IRL, but with amazing people online, going through so many emotions. Each time you hear that Xbox 360 boot menu, the Halo 3 start menu themes all the dark thoughts, loneliness, sadness goes away and it feels like you're being born. I'll never feel that again, that's for sure. But I'll also never forget..
So many tears and feels, the nostalgia is to real to keep held. I miss the old days of Halo 3 in its prime when it had over 1 Million players but now has sadly a mere 1000, it's sad.
Liveleak Videos we're with you bro. This is the feeling only our generation will have for this game, and we will proudly hold it. Maybe some people in the future might pick up our vibe and feel the same.
Sure thing man, its the p-155 its around $1000 however I got it on sale for about $850. Its the perfect keyboard for me because you can record directly onto a usb. I doesn't have a ridiculous amount of instrument settings on it which find perfect. Theres also a Korg that sells for the same amount that is better if you are going to be doing more recording music and making songs. Although Ive heard that Korgs are not as reliable as Yamaha. It would suck to have to replace a $1000 piano.
Well people are getting nostalgic (including me) because they remember the good old days when everyone played to have fun. That time was probably the greatest gaming experience that I've ever had
+toasty mcgeee true man, The old halo's are gone. But new memories can be made. I hate to feel nostalgic.... I just can't handle the fact that it's never gonna be like that again.
+MrNinja1207 Agreed, people won't shut up about how people who like 343's games aren't true fans. Just play the game and have fun. However I do think Halo 3 is the greatest Halo by far, and this song makes me remember when I first got it. :)
Halo 3 will forever be the best halo, cant change my mind, i played it when i was 4, the first game i ever played, ill never forget playing multiplayer with my brothers, such good memories everytime i start the game and see the main menu
Bungie’s Halo reign was truly the greatest game series in history, no matter how many games you produce, no matter how many times you try to recreate the same game, Halo was different than anything on any console. It was fresh, yet the same core mechanics each game. The soundtrack blows big budget movies outta the water, truly a legendary moment in gaming. You can’t feel other games the same as old Halo. The attachment and emotional investment is unlike anything most have experienced. Good Lord the memories.. It’s crazy to say but I feel like many of us grew up on Reach.. fought there, laughed there, met amazing people there and well maybe even cried too.. and after a DECADE later, we talk about “Reach” like the UNSC does.. distant memories of the days gone by. God bless you all 🙏🏻
GOD DAMN I WISH I COULD GO BACK IN TIME AND PLAY HALO 3 WITH ALL MY FRIENDS AND ALL THE DAMN PLAYERS, HAVING FUN PLAYING INFECTION IN COOL GAME MODES LIKE SAW, DUCK HUNT OR JENGA, SERIOUSLY BEST FUCKING GAME EVER
God halos music is so amazing, every song as so much emotion to it, especially the menu themes, from reaches to 3s to ODST, every single halo games menu music is brilliant
It'd probably be safe to say that most of us owe Kyle for allowing us to look back upon our childhood memories. This is an absolutely beautiful piece, and personally, I feel like it's on par with the original. Anyone else?
I miss the feels from the older halo games. Ya know, back when people enjoyed the campaigns and they gave you more than just a crappy 6 hours of game play
SO glad I found this rendition again. SO many years later. Thanks for keeping it up! I'm reinstalling the franchise later now.. lol.. awesome job with this.
I've never disliked any of Kyle's interpretations, they're always spot on with the emotions in the music and almost always fit perfectly if not damn close I think that's the most important part anyway
The beauty, the talent but most of all the sheer passion made me so emotional! As a pianist and lover of Halo myself...the feeling and emotion you poured into that was like no other. Immediate sub. The Nostalgia...the emotion... Thank you...
Words cannot describe how I feel right now. I don't know about you guys, but I feel this on an emotional level. Especially Kyle's version. The original was already good enough, but you, sir, made it a million times better. And for that, all I can say is thank you.
dont listen to him, it will take you nowhere near 15 years to play like this. play maybe an hour a day. record your playing on the day you start and record it once a month. compare your playing each month and you'll notice how quickly your skills increase. all you have to do is never give up. music is not reserved for specific people; anybody can do it. just never give up. if you keep at it, in a years time i would not be surprised if you could play like this.
if i started to learn this song now and spend an hour a day i could probably play this in 2 weeks but i learn these things by watching how they play it, or i search for synthesia tutorials. i can´t read of off sheets so it takes a little longer but this song is not so hard. (i have been playing piano for 4 years) but never had any lessons youtube is your friend
One of my favorite songs that you've done is this one. It brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard it because of how beautiful this was. Keep playing songs like this Kyle.
Wow it's mad how nostalgia like this can literally bring you to tears, mad respect to be able to pull off arguably a better performance than the actual song 👌
"For us, the storm has passed. The war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return."
Never forget... :'(
alsenar2 dope
Arbiter: Were it so easy. Halo 3 is the most emotional game in history, but it is the best game ever created and always will be. Live on my HALO friend. :'(
Touches my soul every time... :(
Not only the "Best" or "one of the best" games ever created.
That had to be the most poetic and deep comment on UA-cam.
*stares at the game menu*
I'm staring at Halo 3's matchmaking menu right now.
hahaha yo siempre miro el menu me da nostalgia recordar mi infancia y cuando los halo eran conmadre
+silentkill9634 I wish my Xbox 360 still worked. I'd be all over Halo 3 right now.
Nova kun this reminds me of the good old days of halo three when it first came out
Ty Shaffer same
The nostalgia is almost too much, I can literally feel something physically in my chest and it's super bittersweet. It's not just the game that this song reminds me of, it reminds me of when I was younger and when everything was happy
Also you did amazing :D awesome job, you make me want to learn it. Subbed
JMDizzle saaaaame... memories of simpler times. Not only in video games but life in general
JMDizzle I feel the same shit when I play any Halo.
Pop some oxycontin and turn this song on and begin to feel nostalgic euphoria like you never have
Me too man me too
I'll never forget Halo 3
I really can't stand it sometimes when people who first started playing Halo after Halo 3 claim that the newer Halo games are the best and the classic series isn't that good.
Halo 2 will always be my favorite I was super young and my brother who was in high school I would wait for him to come home and we would play together haha I'm 16 he is 27 now
I've never heard anyone claim the new ones are best. you can't beat 1 and 2. those games are to legendary
& if any one says different. ..you know they were never a fan seens the begining
Generalkidd It's probably the opposite
To be completely honest? Any games released after Reach (Excluding Halo Wars 2) is not canonical in my eyes. I personally believe that Halo 3 is the end of Master Chief's story. Anything else regarding him, Arbiter, Cortana -- all of it is made up. Fanfiction.
Like I said though, Halo Wars 2 is okay. I'll consider that canon.
This is why Halo is what it is.
Because the soundtrack defines all gaming laws. Hands up for Halo!
I think this song should be on the soundtrack (KL version)
The music. The feels.
We shall leave this hillside barren. A memorial to heroes fallen. I can't forgive you, but you have my thanks, for sticking by until the end.

Kosta Thomas mw1 and 2 made me feel something, just not to the degree as halo did
+patrick moylan u got a point

Playing this so loud that my neighbors rang my door bell and told me that im great pianist. Shit.
What did you say to them?
Blame me, when it is me.
hahahahah
Your best option is to now become a master at piano rather than go through the five second awkward conversation of explaining it wasn’t you
Thats funny LOL
Rest in peace, heroes, Commander Miranda Keys and Sgt. Avery Johnson.
Nice comment
There Journey has stopped for now
Kampfhund Commander Keyes ,Lt Miranda Keyes ,Sgt Avery Johnson 😭
Don't let her go. Don't - ever - let her go.
Master sergeant Johnson, the most bad ass spartan of all time. Last of the S1s. He knew what the ladies liked.

Halo was my childhood I got XBL in 2008 when I was 8 yrs old Halo 3 still my favorite game of all time
Then they went and stopped supporting their community AND fired Martin O'Donnell. Cya Bungie, you wont be missed.
Nathan Baz youre still a child.....
Jodi Rifai so? Almost half of the populatipn who play games like this are roundabout his age.
ImNotSenpai i didnt mean anything bad i just find it weird when kids reminisce as if they were 80 years old

Freaking perfection.
Unfreaking believable
Never forget... never forget that halo used to be good. Halo you will be missed.
Halo is still good it's just that halo 3 was so good
Tactical Shortcake Just because you suck at the game doesn't make the Halo 5 bad, except for the campaign. AYY LMAO
+Skull Face im really good at halo 5, I was in onyx for FFA and SWAT when I played and have a 48 KPG average in war zone. It's a fucking shit game.
*looks up at the sky as Covenant ships warped in above the planet. Then over the radio of s crashed warthog a song starts to play. It's soft, smooth, and oddly soothing despite the oncoming doom. Soon phantoms swarmed the planet. Last stands broke out and at the final one, this song played its climax with the battle cry of a falling marine* "For Reach!" *We will Never Forget*
sigh (picks up battle rifle) Lets finish this fight
have you heard Spartans never die.......their missing in action
claudia martinez sorry. But they're.
Still my favorite cover of this masterpiece. You the GOAT
Beyond Gaming 117 Cool. Thanks :D
That's why we are all here sharing our story's, but thanks for reading my story.....
dude you just RIPPED on that cover. Mad props. Thanks for the memories.
I was in tears listening to this. So beautiful.
see, this is why I love halo so much, not just because of the amazing storyline, but the music too, its just fills you up, you immerse yourself in it, forgetting everything else, and for people to do this kind of thing just amazes me, it really makes you thin what we can really do, and how far we can go, great job
Idk if it’s just me, but I come back to this at least every 2 months or so. Such an amazing piece of art
2007 with the boys, so pure and free back then man. Bloody miss them days. We would smash out slayer an BR all night till light was shining through. 😢
*fired...
Well fucking said
Couldn't have said it better myself 👍❤
+deadslayer45 Halo 4 had a fresh take on the music and it worked
+Zach W. no be quiet
Came here to honor Halo 3 before the servers shut down. One of the greatest videos of all time! Will miss ya Halo 3! We were so fortunate to get to play the original trilogy in its prime.
Damn. I miss the past. I’m so nostalgic, life is so short, let’s enjoy every single second it while we’re alive
Cheers to the end of an golden era! Huzzah that we were able to live through and experience the awe that the original Halo trilogy provided us when it first came out 20 years ago!
I will never forget what you were Halo, you are so special to me.
Literally got chills at the end. The loud dynamics were so climactic and then the soft outro was tear inducing.
"It was my job to protect you"
"We were suppose to take care of each other, and we did"
As we get older many of us become inactive to get on with our lives, but I tell you.
It's better to burn out than to fade away... people may die, but there is no worse feeling
than looking at the xbox 360 game menu and seeing your best friends from halo 3/reach
gone.. One of my best mates who was in a clan I was in, who I played with everyday with our group,
we had funny moments that kept us surviving and we had sad moments that kept us crying.
the quote at the top means a lot to me because I found his profile and he was one of the only acitve ones
left on xbox, I messaged him and his younger brother replied.. "he died 2 years ago of a heart attack"
Ill never forget that one time when you roasted that one kid for stuttering like a car XD
Ill never forget that one time you helped me with depression
and most of all no matter what I will *never forget* you and our memories will be took to the grave
Halo 3 menu music is probably one of my fav halo songs and this guy plays it so good wtf
Y U DO THIS!!! I JUST GOT OVER JOHNSONS DEATH 😭
Too soon man
Call meh Adam
Arbiter: we must go. the brutes have our scent.
Johnson: well i hope they like the smell of badass. here chief i got a present for you
Having no internet and no friends Halo 3 really helped me have a fun time by myself spending hours in forge mode and creating maps to play with my cousin when he comes to visit it truly was a beautiful time and i wouldnt change it for the world!
Thank you Bungie.
The nostalgia...
heyy i just saw your video on youtube of covering treasure piano, can i have the piano sheet pleasee? my email: osasyakura@hotmail.com thankyouuu
syakura alhamnovanda lol alright, I'll send them to you. Good luck!
You know what they say "old is gold" and we will never leave such a franchise such as halo for any other game. Halo forever.
this makes me wanna cry oh my, Halo 3 was my life
I genuinely can't see how ANYONE could dislike this song at all, it is amazing, and Kyle you really bring out the power behind the song, well done!
goes straight to my heart
Sheet music!
mnot.es/KyleLandry_NeverForget_Halo3
kylelandry what kind of piano did you use?
I am man enough to admit that everytime I hear this song it makes me cry, very emotional song.
Mitsukuni Phantomhive FINNALY SOME ONE WHO THINKS HALO 4 WASNT SHIT HALO 4S STPRY WAS GREAT well ain't the best but great
Kaneki Ken 😂😂😭
James Does Gaming Ikr. Halo 4 is amazing. R.I.P Bungie halo games.
Halo 4 was 343 not Bungie
Timothy K idiots eh
Kyle, this is still one of my favourite videos, you played this absolutely perfectly 👍
i remember just letting the menu sit there cause i loved this game
I started playing halo 3 for the first time in years yesterday and when I heard this theme I suddenly fell in tears. It wasn’t just emotionless tears, it was tears full of emotions; happiness, sadness, nostalgia... Nothing will compare to those good old 2007 days.
I remember sitting in the menus and hearing this. oh man... what a fantastic game
He dies in the process but saves his comrads life
I'm a cold hearted person , but the way you play made me soft and made me cry. I salute you!
So much gentle bittersweet pain :,)
1:31 - 1:45 always gives me chills. God I love this theme. Great job!
I wanna cry
Halo 3 and Reach are just the best fecking years of my life. Alone IRL, but with amazing people online, going through so many emotions. Each time you hear that Xbox 360 boot menu, the Halo 3 start menu themes all the dark thoughts, loneliness, sadness goes away and it feels like you're being born.
I'll never feel that again, that's for sure. But I'll also never forget..
This is the sole reason I would want to learn to play a piano.
Nunca es tarde amigo, por experiencia propia, vale mucho la pena aprender!
So many tears and feels, the nostalgia is to real to keep held. I miss the old days of Halo 3 in its prime when it had over 1 Million players but now has sadly a mere 1000, it's sad.
Is anyone feeling this?
i am brofessor
Yes :')
+randomshittutorials Hells yas
+randomshittutorials Yes m8 :'( :)
Liveleak Videos we're with you bro.
This is the feeling only our generation will have for this game, and we will proudly hold it.
Maybe some people in the future might pick up our vibe and feel the same.
Just bought the same yamaha, incredible piano and very good job with the song
would you be so kind to tell me the name of the yamaha?
Sure thing man, its the p-155 its around $1000 however I got it on sale for about $850. Its the perfect keyboard for me because you can record directly onto a usb. I doesn't have a ridiculous amount of instrument settings on it which find perfect. Theres also a Korg that sells for the same amount that is better if you are going to be doing more recording music and making songs. Although Ive heard that Korgs are not as reliable as Yamaha. It would suck to have to replace a $1000 piano.
***** thank you so much for the info, i'll save up money for one of these yamahas, i play guitar but want to get into piano now, thanks again.
No problem, have a good holiday
***** you have a good one as well, stay safe my friend!
I burst into tears every time I hear this song out of pure joy and nostalgia from the hundreds of hours playing the halo games.
Everyone is the comment section is getting so depressed and I'm just sitting here enjoying the music 😂
Well people are getting nostalgic (including me) because they remember the good old days when everyone played to have fun. That time was probably the greatest gaming experience that I've ever had
+MrNinja1207 exactly nothing saying it can't be the same people just need to stop bitching about everything and just have fun with games
+MrNinja1207 Halo 2 was amazing... Still is.
Halo 3 will forever be the best halo, cant change my mind, i played it when i was 4, the first game i ever played, ill never forget playing multiplayer with my brothers, such good memories everytime i start the game and see the main menu
liek dis if yu cry everytim
likifucryertim :'(
Everytim Me lysen... DERP
I actually do tho
this dude unironically just said "derp"
1:00 That epic moment of the song. Great job man
My childhood in one song 👌🏻😢👏🏻👏🏻
My dad die yesterday.. and what really keep me calm down was this beautiful interpretation by u. Thank u for bring me relief
DUDE THAT'S AWESOME! YOU HAVE MARIO CART!!!
God bless you all 🙏🏻
I wanna be part of a winter death scene now
one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard, fantastic cover of one of my favorite games
Well this is pretty sad. I looked for this on SounCloud and i found it... but it's not you posting it, and they're not giving credit to you.
Halo without a single doubt has the most beautiful soundtrack I've ever heard.
Duck hunt, Jenga, Fat Kid, Saw, Monster Trucks, Cops and Robbers, etc... those were the days....
Belsfir I feel this on so many levels... Those were the days
Brandon Dunklin Back when gaming was fun.
Chava Html ghost busters and fat kid on foundry ❤ never forget
God halos music is so amazing, every song as so much emotion to it, especially the menu themes, from reaches to 3s to ODST, every single halo games menu music is brilliant
Heh, it's both Mario Kart and a Mario cart... Sometimes I question the humor of my 1 AM self.
you saw it too!!!
One of the most powerful melodies ever right there.
Dis weird feeling in my heart... :O
same here
That was the best cover of any halo song ive ever heard. Hands Down!
A random Mario Kart 64 in the background.
It'd probably be safe to say that most of us owe Kyle for allowing us to look back upon our childhood memories. This is an absolutely beautiful piece, and personally, I feel like it's on par with the original. Anyone else?
That was fuckin beautiful
Halo 3 was, and still is, my favorite Halo game. Thanks for the memories Bungie
Video games are certainly an art form, too often lacking though. This excellent scoring is what makes a game good art.
I've never disliked any of Kyle's interpretations, they're always spot on with the emotions in the music and almost always fit perfectly if not damn close
I think that's the most important part anyway
he got all that from 2 sheets of music?
Incredible right?!
The beauty, the talent but most of all the sheer passion made me so emotional!
As a pianist and lover of Halo myself...the feeling and emotion you poured into that was like no other. Immediate sub.
The Nostalgia...the emotion...
Thank you...
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry... I cryyyy :o
Words cannot describe how I feel right now. I don't know about you guys, but I feel this on an emotional level. Especially Kyle's version. The original was already good enough, but you, sir, made it a million times better. And for that, all I can say is thank you.
Hey Kyle when are you going to do a Mass Effect 3 piano solo. Please do it on An end, once and for all, I was lost without you, I'm proud of you
If you want to see a cover of "an end once and for all" go check on Akmigon's channel
William Côté Thanks Will :)
Absolutely beautiful playing. This gave me chills for about a whole minute towards the end... so much emotion in the melody!
I want this in H5
Love the different flare everyone who plays these adds. Great video
How many years of consistant ( Im not talking every waking minute of my day ) practice before Im at his level if I start now?
Probably something in the ball park of 15+?
dont listen to him, it will take you nowhere near 15 years to play like this. play maybe an hour a day. record your playing on the day you start and record it once a month. compare your playing each month and you'll notice how quickly your skills increase. all you have to do is never give up. music is not reserved for specific people; anybody can do it. just never give up. if you keep at it, in a years time i would not be surprised if you could play like this.
genovaz i take it you dont play piano.
Thanks
if i started to learn this song now and spend an hour a day i could probably play this in 2 weeks but i learn these things by watching how they play it, or i search for synthesia tutorials. i can´t read of off sheets so it takes a little longer but this song is not so hard. (i have been playing piano for 4 years) but never had any lessons youtube is your friend
One of my favorite songs that you've done is this one. It brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard it because of how beautiful this was. Keep playing songs like this Kyle.
Holy shit... The feels.. ;-;
Wow it's mad how nostalgia like this can literally bring you to tears, mad respect to be able to pull off arguably a better performance than the actual song 👌
