just a thought on eobd plugs no connection always make sure you are not connecting to after market equipment that some fleet companies use ie trackers more disconnect go go dirctly it manufacturers plug ,ps always make sure you reconect when finished as fleet companies cannot do their work, also determine signal is faulty nox sensor or the rest or car by disconecting wiring to unit
Hi, i had a customers 2017 ford ranger. Ad b;ue countdown mileage and a nox sensor fault with parameters exceeded etc. The actual sensor was goosed. I replaced the sensor and then it came up with this U029D. Any input would be great mate. Was the sensor after DPF sensor. I checked the dpf re-generation was active when driving and it is. It still regenrates as normal when it has to. So will this mean the adblue mileage countdown will just go back up once its almost down to 0 miles before engine disabled to start. If the dpf is clean and being worked properly with the adblue will this fault still possibly cause it to go down to zero mileage u think and engine stop ? Any input appreciated mate. Im taking it back the morrow and other than the possibility of a open circuit wire it might be a head scratcher. The new sensor was genuine ford £480.00
I have just got this code today U029D mine saus lost communication wirh downstream nox (intermittent) and also P2048 adblue/def injevtor control short circuit to ground (intermittent). My car is a 1.5 bluehdi 308 2019. 105k. Also i notice thermal aging of cat convertee 99.5%, looks like adblue not injecting. Got a few rhings going on witj this car 1 being oil entering the exhaust and throttle which is not pre turbo (pcv) so i imagine it is the turbo as the acuator buzzers. Woild this be the likely case of the turbo seals leaking and contaminating the cat and sensors therefore the nox not sending any communication to the adblue to inject 🤔 im close to scrapping it 🤣
Hi, great video as usual, I was wondering if you might be able to shed some light on a fault, we have a Boxer with u029E fault, now when testing the sensor, 12v supply seems to be missing. Does it fee from the Adablue module? there are adlbue pressure faults etc aswell, or is the adblue in standby as no communication with NOX? Thanks in advance
Well, i dont know why replace it. Its costly as hell. One Peugeot and Citroens is know that water will damage unit easily. You can just remove senzor, open it, clean it and its fine.
i notice the new and old sensor in your video have different part numbers one ends 780 the other ends 980 does it not matter which numbers is on the sensor
can bus signal could be corrupt always check with scope if possible as voltage is what its say not a signal ,its a good way saying got signal but not if that signal is good on off ,.this possibly why after market parts don't work ,corrupt signal not missing signal ,they do need calibrating but will work some degree out of box ,
It's so easy when you do it😅 I've just replaced one and still no fix. All voltages on the plug present. No problem connecting and resetting the sensor. But the fault code won't go away 😢

I was getting the same fault turns out it was the pat fluid urea tank was getting low 🤦♂️

It came from dealership so maybe a revised part
Just changed my Nox sensor and getting the same code as you in the beginning of the video… could the new sensor be faulty?

No unfortunately not. It's a rental company's van and they didn't want to spend any more money and just condemned it.
