That line; "in our pursuit to do great, we failed to do good" is just ooooh *chef's kiss. What a fucking INCREDIBLE line. Probably one of the greatest quotes ever.
I feel this show, and particularly Viktor, is full of quotable quotes. In episode two, it was _"when you're going to change the world, don't ask for permission"_ . Now, in this episode, it's _"in the pursuit of great, we failed to do good"_ . So instantly memorable and meaningful. 😊😊

The way I viewed it I don't think she "chose" the Jinx chair. I think she decided that killing her father, again, just showed that she is a Jinx and there is really no choice in the matter. So she just gave up and sat down in it....owned it. Not that she chose it. She gave up on redemption, which is why she just walks out on her sister.
There never was a choice. She became Jinx the moment Vi called her a Jinx - everything after that was just a matter of accepting that reality, for herself and Vi. And she didn't give up on redemption. She gave up trying to make her sister love her as Jinx ("I thought you could love me [Jinx], like you used to [love Powder]."
13:20 It's interesting in the scene where Vi was trying to snap Jinx out of killing Caitlyn. I feel it really underscored how little she actually understood Powder's trauma and how different their experiences were of the same events growing up. Vi was calling out Mylo and Claggor's names as if to try to remind her of who she is; not realising how negative and triggering her memories of them are to Powder / Jinx.

Vi loved the Powder she remembered and wanted that Powder back. But Jinx is no longer that person and will never be that person again. And maybe with time, Vi could come to love (and help adjust) Jinx but at that time, Vi didn't like who Jinx was. It's why Jinx says "I thought maybe you could love me like you used to. Even though I’m… different." That line hit me personally so hard. I went through my own childhood trauma that seriously changed who I was (though luckily I didn't have a psychotic break and become a villain x'D) and one thing that has always stuck with me is a time when my mom (who I know loves me and just wanted the best for me and didn't intentionally mean it in a hurtful way) asked me "Why can't you be like you used to be?" It took a long time for me to realize how kind of screwed up that is to say to someone that went through trauma. Now, obviously, none of that justifies Jinx's actions, but it certainly gives context to her decisions.

I like to think about it like this, even if Jinx didn't kill Silco, the peace treaty would have never worked anyway because they wanted Jinx. That price was too high for Silco. So, the war was inevitable Jinx just got the first shot off.
