This charity handicap doubles tournament is played in memory of Ross “The Rabbit” Gamble, former member of VRC.
Autism Speaks Canada is the charity the tournament is raising funds for.
HANDICAP RULES
The combined age of the players on a team is the handicap.
100 DRAW:
Those over 100 get +1 point for every year over 100 up to a maximum of 9 points per game. Teams less than 100 will get minus points for every year under 100.
75 DRAW
Those over 75 will get +1 point for every year over 75 up to a maximum of 8 points per game. Teams less than 75 will get minus points for every year under 75.
50 DRAW
Those over 50 will get +1 point for every year over 50 up to a maximum of 8 points per game. Teams less than 50 will get minus points for every year under 50.
Games to 18 points, no set.
All female competitors, and the participants who are 80+ in age receive 5 bonus points.
All minus points must be used in the first 3 games and spread equally between games.
Plus handicap teams must specifiy to the ref prior to the start of each game what handicap they will use.
