I like using the hot towels. I have received several foot massages, and the Chinese masseurs usually wash my feet or at least wipe them with moist hot towels before the massage. Your videos are the best! I truly appreciate them. Thank you
I've been watching your videos for years now, and will be starting massage therapy school in september, I'm so nervous but excited!! I've kept the idea of becoming one on the back burner for awhile now... you have truly inspired me and become my mentor all these years. Thank you I really appreciate your videos/ you in general.... especially on akward subjects like feet.. lol ....
Before I start my client massage session, I ask them do they want a foot massage or reflexology. I let the client know, they have to have a foot bath first. Then, I’ll give the client the massage, while their feet finished air drying before I massage the client feet.
I offer cleansing foot wipes at intake if they’d like me to work on their feet, and hot towels after to remove oil and clean my hands. I love working on feet, it feels so good and is so important when it comes to back and hip pain.
Whenever I do a reflexology treatment. I always wash the feet in warm water and foot soap. Which has a mint scent. I just incorporate it into the treatment.
I have a video suggestion, Spencer. I had a client with severe scoliosis. It turned out to be a great massage and I enjoyed the complexities of the anatomy but it could be very intimidating. I was wondering if you had experience with this and any thoughts and techniques you would give. I expect a shout-out for this brilliant video idea lmao 😂😂😂
I'll use hot towels and compression, kinda like the over the sheet if the feet are very cracked and very white because I don't know if it's just calloused or if there is fungal growth in there. If I have great feet to work on though, I love working on feet, but bad feet ruins my groove. Like, can you please wash your feet or tell me not to work on your feet if you know you don't typically do so but know you have a massage?
Some people wear their socks during a massage. What might be the reason for that? And would you massage them with their socks on or would you prefer to remove them. Or do you assume they didn't want their feet massaged?
Where I go, they do a warm, soapy foot soak with a salt rub on the bottom of your feet before your massage. It's an easy solution, and it feels nice to the client.
If I was a massage therapist and I had to work on the feet. I would offer a foot bath in a foot tub. Soak them up with nice soap. Before starting the massage.
Your hands touch more surfaces than your feet, that are often in socks anyway ! If you don’t like feet you’re not a holistic therapist, they are part of a person… yes definitely hot towels with lemon or mint or some sanitising agent are fantastic, feel grounding and are a great start to any treatment, especially reflexology
You obviously are not from the South where people go barefoot all the time or wear flip flops and sandals. Their feet are black with dirt. We also get the Ironman Triathletes twice a year and they'll cone straight from running and right to the table. Then you have to dance around blisters as well. 🤔🙄
Not gonna lie, gloves aren't good when it comes to receiving a massage. The rubbery texture feels artificial and isn't the same as skin. Whoever goes to a massage session, should be clean, period. The therapist could use what the Chinese are doing - hot towels with disinfectant and if needed a quick foot bath.
I'm so glad he's back.

I wear gloves now. Been doing this for 20+yrs, and can’t subject my hands to disease
Smart! That's another great solution
A massage with gloves us awful.
You are amazing ❤..Spencer love your work 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I cannot imagine going for a massage without being clean to the nth degree

Wear GLOVES
I love your videos ❤️
thank you :)
The feet are so important. I've only ever had one massage that didn't include the feet and it was weird that they weren't addressed.
I got a bad review once bc I didn’t massage a clients feet. They expect foot massage.
Don't take that in a weird way 😕😕

I'd put a hot towel on them and do some compressions. Relaxed the 🦶 and cleans them at the same time. Problem solved
My feet are clean just ugly. I don't like feet either
Hot towels
