I loved this traditional paso - Tom and Amy were brilliant. But can we just have a huge shout out to the fabulous trumpet soloist? Amparito Roca has never sounded so stylish. Whoever you are, you were brilliant and all power to your embouchure!
lots of people saying they didn’t like this but i think it’s been a WHILE since we’ve seen a paso as traditional as this! we haven’t seen many quite like these and this was incredible! for me it deserved its tens 💛
So he should get 10s because Amy or the producers of the show choose to do a traditional paso, even tho there where mistakes.... doesnt really make sence
@@Bobisalive the point is tom executed what he was taught really well, and i’m happy that amy chose a more traditional route as it was something different again from all the incredible pasos we’ve seen so far this series. toms and amy aren’t asking to be favourited, it’s just nice to see that he’s improving😊
Its a entertainment show not the world championships. They all get their massive pay checks at the end so stop taking it so seriously and just enjoy

Beautifully Spanish and classical. One for the paso traditionalists to enjoy. Even the cape work wasn't cheesy or gimmicky. Love it. 10
It was, without a trace of a doubt, Tom's best dance! He redeemed himself incredibly after his tango the week before! This dance, the outfit, the hair style suit him so, so much! Once again, he was so into character, so into the music, he looked like a true matador - fierce but yet self-controlled, so masculine... he has produced such clean lines, his spins were fantastic, his knee-walk was exquisite, his jumps were superb. I just wanted him to produce more shaping in his body, soften his hands a bit and produce some more tilted hip action. Haven't said that, it had so much control, so much attention to details, so much atmosphere... it was a pure an d a traditional paso-doble in so many ways, it was exciting for me to watch because the steps were so clean and because it was a proper-paso doble with some really intricate steps in it that was executed with immense understanding of the style, both rhythmically, physically and artistically. My score: a proud 8!

I think this is one of those routines u just notice more and more when you watch it back. I only gave this an 8 when I first watched it but now that I've watched it back I can see all the little details and I loved the traditional take on this Paso that is something we have been missing especially cape work. It had lovely chassee capes, twist turns etc it had alot of basic champion Paso content alot like John's Rumba only Rumba content obviously xD. He did well with the stiff character, some lovely in sync solo spanish lines I thought, the only thing letting him down was his face it just wasn't convincing enough for a Paso so *9/10* beautifully choreographed

YASSSSS TOM!! WELCOME TO YOUR BREAKOUT DANCE!! The flamenco shaping and the extensions were out of this world. It felt like an old-fashion paso doble from DanceSport. Had attack, and the characterization of the matador and bull was there, not to mention the staccato feet from Tom. The only reason I didn't give this a 10 is I wanted a bit more connection between the two but other than that YASSS TOM!!!

This is probably the only time I've liked the Paso Doble! They did AMAZING. I definitely love the traditional Paso Doble more than the other's I've seen on strictly. Getting 9s and 10s was well deserved.

People are whinging about this because they want all the cheesy, gimmicky crap that so often crops up on strictly. I thought this was great, I love the Paso but I think it can sometimes be a bit much. But this was really just lovely to watch.

Agree that it’s a more balletic style. Could there have been more accents and nuances especially when hitting a line - yes. But man that’s some excellent cape work.

Tom *really* got into this! It was traditional and epic, and his paso lines were perfect! His footwork wasn't quite technically perfect, but I'm being really nitpicky there. My score: 9.

So lovely to see a traditional Paso with appropriate music. Great cape work, however this is not done in open competition so I would have been equally happy without it! Tom had great presence throughout the dance and nailed the shaping. He was unstable in some of the turns and his forward locks were a little skippy, but other than that a good performance that I enjoyed.
I'm a McFly fan and I really loved the coreography (kudos to Amy), but the whole matador vibe killed it for me. We can't be making cool a thing that harms Animals.

Wow. I mean, it was a bit slow and lacking in some places to my liking. But look at them! It looks so natural to Tom. He looks like a genuine trained Paso Doble dancer! Such strong character. This was a really nice classic Paso, and it's so nice. I'm more used to the aggressive, stronger Pasos, which is why the beginning disappointed me, but because I felt let down, the dance actually blew me right away. How wonderfully choreographed by Amy.

Definitely overscored! They really want this guy to stay in the competition for some reason. I didn’t really enjoy the dance but It did have some powerful strong moves in it. Good effort !
