That's good to remind people that while Okayu may be a sultry and pleasant catgirl most of the time, she is part of generation explicitly called GAMERS and was known as the wearer of pants early on much like (people think) Botan is now. When she's serious, she is _serious._
This reminds me of Korone being stuck during the skull minecart race section, and Okayu's voice finally letting her win. There were SO many great moments from their streams (and the ending was SO CLOSE).
The ending on this race was super close, like under a minute close. And when you consider Korone had like a 20-30 minute lead on her, Okayu really brought it back in the last two levels and the boss fight. Korone still won, but only just barely. If Okayu had kept pace with Korone in the final stretch she would have beaten her by 20 or so minutes (not that either of them were treating it as a serious competition or anything). So many great moments from this race and lots of wholesome Te te at the end during the credits roll.

Somehow Korone was way ahead of her in terms of game knowledge. Okayu didn’t know how to do some kind of warp on the first few levels (idk donkey kong) and she started using rolling attacks/jumps much later than Korone
It was a surprise to hear it on a bright Saturday morning, but honestly it would've been stranger if she didn't. It's Donkey Kong Country 2. This series is fueled by your unbridled rage. The race actually turned out to be super close at the end, too. Okayu had two chances to win on the last boss hit but was done in by the final cannon shot. But it was really fun to watch anyway. I never realized that DKC2 was that short of a game.
Ah, Donkey Kong Country 2, Nintendo and Rareware's magnum opus. It's so good, one of my favorite games ever, but DAMN is it unforgiving towards the end.

I was there when it happened. The moment Korones voice cam up and she started babbeling I was like "Will this make Okayu choke here? I know it would break my concentration" and it killed her. Sabotage doggo to the max lmao. (Though I don't know why Okayu kept tapping the button, she could have just held it to roll through. Maybe that's just my DKC elitism speaking though)
