I think scenes like this show that Frank does genuinely care about his kids, but his addictions have such a hold on him he can almost never see passed it.
That’s exactly what it is but it also goes to show that not everyone should have kids
@@farzaslasher422 oh no completely agreed, frank is a terrible father and i'd never argue otherwise, it's just... well good writing to show that it's not as simple as being a drunk who only cares about himself, he does care about his kids but he's such a mess of a person and has so many addictions, that it never shows
No he didn't... he called cps on his own kids and sent them to foster care
Remember this is the real Frank here: not an ounce of alcohol in his system and willing to do whatever he has to to help or protect his kids.
This moment was so satisfying. These four effed up and they now turn to Fiona to ONCE AGAIN solve their problems. For example, her starring down at Debbie and putting her ass back in line…..loved it.
Liam should’ve been there next to Fiona shaking his head with his arms folded

This episode was a fun and satisfying. Fiona and majority of the viewers knew nothing good will come of it for using 70 grand worth of meth that Monica somehow had in her "possesion". The episode's title definitely summed up Monica's legacy. 😂
Frank should've stayed sober and changed throughout the rest of the show, and had more scenes like this. That way when he got demtia it wouldve been heartbreaking. As it is this was just out of the blue for frank

Series 8 has a lot of good episodes, but this is one of my favorite episodes. Having the Gallagher's altogether and standout is a beautiful gem. And its value an account of action.
The moment Francis said "Lemme handle this...please!" I knew I was about to witness something amazing!

Frank stood up for his kids.
And he shouldn't be praised for it because he was the one who got them involved in this mess in the first place. Frank defending his kids was the bare minimum for putting them all in danger including Fiona who had nothing to do with it and was dragged into it.

i never liked frank, but as i grow older i realize how much im like him. maybe that was the point of his character, to find something we can relate to while also being an example of something we shouldn’t choose to be. some things can’t be chosen though, and thats where i relate.

I mean that he kept repeating the cycle and falling back on the bottle certainly didn't help things. It's what ended up ultimately killing him in the end.

Fiona wasn’t really right though. At least not as much as she’s proclaiming to be. Rewatch the season 7 finale. Her plan was to flush all of it down the toilet. Great work Fi. Then what? They would’ve been even more screwed since they wouldn’t even have the meth from Monica’s casket to barter the meth head with. They would’ve been in an even WORSE position had they gone along with what she wanted. Idk why no one called that out here and knocked her off her high horse AT LEAST a peg or two other than sloppy writing.
While watching this, I only see Frank Gallagher. I don't see William H. Macy at all! That's the sign of a GREAT actor!

I'm sure Frank even knows he's a bad father and the way his Kids turned out is a result of him. But at least he WANTS to be there for his family. He just can't when it matters most.

I would have added that I won't kill him. I'd bury him down there with Monica and let the last thing he thinks about be how bad it smells down there. On a side note, something I've noticed from TV shows where people are being buried or unburied. They never have vaults. For anyone that's not familiar with a vault, it's a concrete encasement inside the crave with a concrete lid. For the most part it protects the coffin and body from underground animals, bugs, and weather. If you have to exhume a body you just take the lid off.

I am sure the reason why Fiona just up and about left the family was because of the some issues irl. i am sureeeee that the actress had a fight with teh directorsa or something like that because she can't just suddenly leave. so sad honestly she was the one holding the show together and they were nothing without her. seh could have had so much chracater growth but they just kept making her character worse and worse!!!!! which is soooo infuriating.

@@JenniferDefoor No we're not because we did in the other videos. This is a different scenario involving drugs. Monica had 70 grand worth of meth that was never hers to have and give, but stolen and stashed in a shoddy garage. On the contrary, Fiona's initial response of not using the drugs for personal use is actually good character development.

No, because she's speaking from experience, she learned how dangerous is it dealing with dr*gs when she unknowingly endangered Liam.
That is what made her right this time, and as someone who had that experience, she is more than qualified to warn her siblings and be smug about it when they fucked up for not listening to her.
I don't get high often any more but one time i decided to eat some edibles. It turned out to be a bad idea because we were watching shameless and it was the epsiode where Monica attempted offing herself during thanksgiving dinner. Bummer.

I haven't seen this show but I've watched so many clips of it. Why tf did they ruin the storyline soooo badly by the end??? frank dying alone, fiona becomin a drunk and then just leaving the family. The show could have showed all the characters undergoing redemption!!!! which truly sucks. Like they could have shown that frank slowly started going to a rehabilitation programme, and became sober, finally became a good father, got a good job. Fiona could have married a good guy and gotten a welathy job and lived a happy, rich life. They should have shown better character growths for all of the characters!!!! the writers fucked up their storylines sooo bad and never showed them becoming better. this show had so muchhhh potential but it was all wasted. THEY SHOULD HAVE SHOWED A HAPPY ENDING. LIKE A HAPPY, REALISTIC ENDING IS NOT THAT HARD. honestly what a waste of potential.
Because the show was always about the harsh realities…. You never get everything you want in life. It’ll never all just be a happy ending.
I get the appeal of the show but sometimes marvel movies seem more realistic.
