- So this is part two to the 335i manual swap, we completed all the mechanical parts with a quick Cas pin jump to get the car started and driving with many faults. Next is to do the coding and get the car running pristine with no auto trans faults. I used a lot of information off this forum
www.e90post.co...
It really is useful for a parts list and shows how the manual swap is really plug and play mechanically. The next and final video concluding the swap is going to be the coding and wiring for the reverse light and clutch pedal switch to start the car with the clutch fully pressed.
I apologize for the delay and the shortage of information of this video as I started to focus more on getting it done rather than recording. If anyone has any questions on this swap or how to questions, you can follow me and message me on my Instagram @edirty9
So I started watching this channel from the time I saw this car in Johnny's video when I saw you guys dropping the subframe. So you're really knowledgeable in these car. Well done and keep up the good work
Thanks man appreciate it. I eat, sleep, breathe BMW
@@edirty9 me as well. Have an e36 m3 evo. Love it to bits.
You seriously need to start your own business/shop bro your a savage mechanic
One day! Just have to keep grinding for now
I hope your going to get the cluster i showed you on instagram this build is gonna be siiick and please keep them videos coming asap cant wait to see it fully wraped
I’m hoping I can!!
Congrats on the swap bro, just purchased my kit will do it soon..
Best decision. You’ll fall in love all over again
How much did the kit cost you?
Back At It Again 💪🏾😂😂
Will a manual transmission, driveshaft, harness, etc from 2009 335i n54 RWD e92 work on a 2010 335i RWD n54 for complete swap?
if your gonna keep it change the drain plug for sure on the radiator, manual transmission uses a smaller drain plug then auto transmission I heard it will not let it get enough coolant and could mess your trans up within time with the wrong radiator drain plug
I think you’re right! And and I want to get a whole new radiator. I don’t think my manual trans will have issues as there is no cooler
How much would doing a manual swap cost on this car? From a shop *labor included*
Not sure. The quote I got before I installed it myself was $1,500
Hey I’m looking to do a manual swap on my 2013 e92 335. How similar are the cars when doing a swap?
Very, you have an N55? You’d need a 6 bolt flywheel instead of the 8 bolt
Edirty9 I’m buying a whole trans with clutch and flywheel off a guy who wrecked his. Any other differences?
Pretty sure no other difference. Besides an MSD81 DME
Hey which 2 wires did you bridge together on the CAS to get the car running with the brake pedal?
Shoot I can’t remember at this point! I know it’s one of the clutch switch ones!
@@edirty9 lol no problem o figured it out and got my car running but how did you get your steering wheel buttons to work?
I am about to do this same swap on my e93. How did you remove the Automatic from the DME? I have found all the other info regarding coding and removing the auto from CAS and FRM but I cant find DME. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Still need help?
@@edirty9 can I contact u somehow
Instagram boss!
Isn’t the rear drive shaft the same and diff on years 07 and under?
Yes 07 driveshaft is the same for all models. But the diff is smaller in 08+ and the 07 have bigger pumpkin diff’s
@@edirty9 so all I need is the front manual?
@@edirty9 I just got my kit from a 07 the whole thing.
Oh okay! Yes and no. Not sure if you can just use the front half. I believe you can. People use the automatic one too. They just pull it out a little. But that’s sketchier
Are you recording with potato?
