- The Acura brand, which is a subset of Honda, is responsible for producing this three-row midsize luxury SUV. It is the second-largest SUV in the Acura series, following the Acura RLX. In 2025, the MDX will get a whole new look. Acura has finally opted to use touchscreen controls for the MDX's infotainment system, doing away with the convoluted touchpad controller. In addition, Acura has already announced that the MDX would have "additional automated driving capabilities," which is code for Level 2 ADAS. The next generation of this SUV will have a sleeker look that will go well with the ZDX, the electric crossover from the same manufacturer. Changes to the front bumper intakes, headlights, and grille are anticipated to be the most eye-catching aspects of the redesign. Rumor has it that the headlamps will be more angular and sleek, and that the grille will be bigger and more integrated. In order to keep the MDX looking how it does now, we may expect to see few changes to its overall shape. The rear bumper and taillights may undergo minor modifications; the latter are anticipated to incorporate illumination.

The touch pad is actually functionally and ergonomically perfect for while driving. I have two vehicles. One is a touchscreen, and the other is the 2023 MDX, and you don't understand how perfect it is. I would say that if Acura was smart, they would have it be dual function for those who want to lean forward and leave their fingerprints all over the screen. I would still use the touchpad 80% of the time. I find that using the touchpad is less distracting and allows me to still see my surroundings. Most people don't understand that when you are touching the screen, their eyes focus more on where their finger is touching on the screen, and hence, you lose visual of the road. When you are leaning back and using the touchpad, the screen simply becomes part of the road visual, so you see exactly what selections you are making on the screen as well as the road ahead.
Touch screens are dangerous, and the government should ban them. Drivers focus on the screen instead of the road. It's like using your cell while driving.
