What I like about my 24' - 4Runner is the fact it's not loaded down with hard plastic in the interior, and you pointed that out well. Excellent video, thanks
Exactly the interior in this truck is super nice. I was actually blown away by it. Thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out the channel. Have a great day, my friend.
Great video, Kenny. I have a 2023 - 4Runner Limited with less than 5k miles on the odometer. I got a few extra options, auto running boards, 3rd row etc. When I've taken my 4Runner in for the free service (3 times already), the sales staff have come over to me in the waiting area and made serious cash offers to buy it from me on the spot. They say they're regularly contacted by customers to search for low mileage 4Runners. Last offer I got was over $50k, just amazing. I've been extremely pleased with my 4Runner, sad it's no longer produced the old fashioned, reliable way.
Thanks for the support, my friend. I truly appreciate it. That’s awesome. You definitely have a super nice truck and that thing will continue to hold it value. The last of the naturally aspirated V6 ! Definitely would love to get my hands on one one of these days. Thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out the channel my friend. Have a great weekend.
Man Lil Kenny TV killing it. My dogs start barking every time you lock/unlock the toyota. That toyota beep triggers my dogs thinking I am leaving or coming home.
😇 thank you I truly appreciate the support my friend! Yeah you got a good dog they are on alert lol thanks for the reply and checking out the channel have a good weekend thanks!
In Colorado there is very limited number of 4Runners. I was able to find a 2023 Limited with only 19 thousand miles. Love my new truck! I didn't want the newer one because i question weather the engine will be as good.
The 2.4 has been out for awhile and seems to be a reliable motor. However, Turbos won't last 300K miles like the outgoing model. Spinning at 150K RPM's turbos will fail around 150K miles from leaks in seals and failed bearings. This is the case for all oems regarding current turbo technologies. Also Turbos add allot of heat for the motor so its anybodies guess whether Toyota built up the motor to last longer then the turbo. My guess is they engineered this to last 150K miles which they probably feel is the life of the truck. Which was not the case with the outgoing model.
Hi Kenny great review ! I have seen a lot of reviews regarding the 6th generation 4Runner and seems to have positive reviews . I still like my 5th generation 4Runner because of it's simplicity . 😊
The fifth generation is a classic and will probably run forever. I do like the new truck. I think it looks really cool and it’s got a lot of technological updates lol don’t use that word all the time lol we will see how the turbo charge four-cylinder holds up, but it seems to be doing pretty good in the Tacoma. Thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out that channel my friend. Have a great day.
Toyota had a really good formula with the V6 4runner but for whatever reasons, crapped all over it and flushed it. The previous years tacoma and 4runner were always somewhat different but the newest version looks like the 4runner design team capitulated to the tacoma design team. If i ever find myself in the market for a 4runner, im going after a 5th gen V6.
I hear you my friend I really like the fifth generation as well that V6 4.0 engine is absolutely bulletproof ! Thanks for the reply and thanks for the feedback my friend. Have a great day.
$51k is still too high but if I needed something I'd get it for the slightly older technology and V6. The high price is probably the only thing from someone buying it right away. Not that I'd want a display at all but I like the it compared to the new ones with the big screen TV.
Yeah, that’s what I figured. You can tell. I’m definitely a Tacoma guy but I absolutely love these trucks. Really wish I would’ve got my hands on an underground. TRD pro thanks for the reply. Thanks for the info my friend. Have a great day.
Like always, great review Lil Kenny! Let's be honest here, we are all on the channel because we love Toyotas! Just like with the 4th gen Tacos, there will be a lot of haters of the new 6th gen 4runner. I love my 3rd gen Taco so much but I also was really excited when the new 4th gen Taco was released. Thankfully, I was in a position to keep my 3rd gen and buy a new 4th gen Taco. I really couldn't tell you which I love more over the other. They are both awesome trucks. As far as the 4runners, as much as I love the looks and reliability of the 5th generation, we must admit that it was a little outdated and it had been around the block for a LONG time and definitely in need of an upgrade. I trust both 3rd gen Tacos and 6th gen 4runners will be as reliable and loved by everyone at the end of day. Cheers to Toyotas!
First off thank you for the support. I truly appreciate it my friend and second of all you are absolutely right and I couldn’t have said it better myself. I totally agree with you 100% and that’s exactly how I feel too. I felt the same way about the Tacoma that it was a little bit outdated and when I first got into these trucks, I thought it would’ve been a lot more updated. I absolutely love the new trucks, but it’s something about having a Old School truck and I think that’s what Toyota Has been so good at doing because we all love a 1980s Toyota pick up truck and you already know how much people love the first Tacoma and the second generation and a third generation Tacoma so many people have these trucks and I love them to death. I think that’s the only reason why the fourth generation gets so much hate, but it was just the same exact way when they came out with the third generation and I wouldn’t expect anything else from the. 4Runner it was definitely outdated for sure and it had been around the block for 15 years. That’s a long time. I wasn’t a huge fan of the infotainment on the 4Runner but now I think it looks pretty cool just because it is a little dated and it’s completely different than the third generation Tacoma and I’ve already said it before I really like how the new TRD pro 4Runner looks and all the other models. The new runner has some really nice interior too on limited trim. And of course, every Toyota will look good once you add a little lift and some wheels and tires. lol the new body lines always take a little bit of time for people to get used to thanks again for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great weekend. Thank you for checking out the channel.
@littlekennytv5668 thanks for the great response my friend. And thanks for the Lil Kenny discount with lasfit! I ordered my bed mat and floor mats today! Have a great weekend!
I know right but I think it’s actually an option or a package. Thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out the channel. It’s definitely not even broken in yet.
The backseats don't slide forward or back. They are fixed probably why it seems tighter in the back. My GX460 slides back and forth and allows more adjustability. The new gx and 4runners traded that sliding middle seats for a forward tumbling feature to allow passengers to get back to the 3rd row if equipped. A big miss if you ask me
@@littlekennytv5668 Oh you always have new adopters that have to be first. But like the Tacoma they will run out of early adopters pretty quick. These will also be piling up on the lots alongside the tacos in less then 6 months time. Price points are not realistic. Especially in the obvious downgrade in materials in the cabin. People are put off with the massive use of hard plastics and those plastics are thinner now. To the point some of the plastics are literally melting on the lexus's. At this point in the game you will even have new adopters paying ADM's and then complain later how much they are underwater. Because people that pay cash don't throw money away like that. You don't have financial means buy investing in depreciating assets.
My brand new ‘24 Trd Pro in underground was a steal at $55k, which was $3k below msrp from $58k sticker. Probably the best deal in the country. I only put a few thousand miles on it and love it. The trd exhaust does get a bit annoying but that’s ok. Might trade it in in a few years for a GX550 or it might be a long term keeper.
You have an awesome truck and I love it in underground! You got a great deal you could sell it tomorrow and probably make money! Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend!
Waited 11 months for a 24 TRD Pro in Terra and couldn't be happier. Paid MSRP 69K CDN or 49K Real Money with no add ons. CDN cars come standard with rock rails, rubber mats, cargo cover and trailer hitch. Saw a new Land Cruiser in the dealership and it looked tinny by comparison in my biased opinion.
Congratulations my friend you have an amazing piece of machinery that will run forever the 1958 Land Cruiser is definitely smaller than the 4Runner ! Sounds like you got a pretty good deal too. They are about 8000 more expensive than the US which is crazy because I thought Canadian vehicles were more expensive. Thanks for the reply. Thanks for checking out the channel my Canadian brother.
Got a 24 Trd Pro Underground with 1100 miles in Dec. I could have bought a new LC 1958 for same money but everything in it seemed cheaper. The simplicity of the 5th Gen spoke to me. I also have a 24 ZR2 Colorado with some of the fancier tech. Both 24s. Both very different in tech and drivetrains.
You got my attention soon as you said underground, and TRD pro lol 😂 that’s a super nice truck that’s the one that I really wanted. I think you definitely made the right decision. Using induction adds low end torque but when under boost will suck allot of gas and added heat. That's why with most driving behaviors you won't see much improvement in MPG's. I expect the motivation to go with induction is to boast better torque/HP numbers and to lower C02 output to meet CAFE restrictions. But regardless of brand adding tons more complexity with turbos, batteries, hybrid motors, sensors etc.. just adds more parts that can fail. To say that Toyota can add this much complexity and still claim it will run for 300K miles with little issue is wishful thinking. The reason people used to buy trucks like the GX 460, outgoing 4runner, was because of their ability to go 300K miles or more. Sure the new one may drive nicer with a smoothing transmission offering better low end grunt. But after 150K miles your looking at replacing turbos because of leaking seals and failed bearings. Wish all you want turbos ain't going to last 300K miles. Even the mighty Yota does not have any magical secret sauce that allows turbos to double their lifespan. So if your intention is to drive this for 5 years or put around 100K miles and trade it in then its probably a safe bet. If your a traditional Yota buyer that wants to drive this for 15 years with little fuss then think again.
Yeah those days of keeping your ride till the wheels falls off is almost a thing of the past.. most people I know are upgrading after 4-5 years of ownership.. crazy. V6 is proven solid engine but that’s about it.. everyone’s wants the new new.. taco 4th gen and 4 runners brings that and more 👍🏼.. prices is insane but it will sell.. specialy the 4 runners..
They are super nice bulletproof and will run forever and it’s made in Japan. We have a lot of them up here in Oregon as well. Hopefully one day I’ll own one thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out the channel my friend.
too bad its so crappy on gas.... and I find it not to be that comfortable when driving it, good machine and should last a LONG time but I guess its too each their own.

Think every third car in Utah is a 4runner. There will never be a shortage a good used 5th gen 4runners in my lifetime.
They are super nice bulletproof and will run forever and it’s made in Japan. We have a lot of them up here in Oregon as well. Hopefully one day I’ll own one thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out the channel my friend.
That’s like 5K over MSRP for last years used model. 😂😂😂😂
Yeah they really know how to price the used stuff lol 😆
500k mile truck right there.
Yes 🙌 indeed!
too bad its so crappy on gas.... and I find it not to be that comfortable when driving it, good machine and should last a LONG time but I guess its too each their own.
Too much money! It's an offroad premium without a sunroof. It's over the original msrp.
Exactly and who knows how much they paid for it hopefully whoever traded it in got a good deal. I definitely need the camera and the sunroof and hopefully whoever purchased it got a good deal as well. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend have a great weekend.
