I enjoy his channel too. He’s a good, no BS guy. 👍🏻🇺🇸

What if I want to know about computer programming?
@bobanmilisavljevic7857 ohh Luke McFadden will know. Trust me if you watch his content he's really intelligent
@@scwilliams386 thanks, I'll definitely check it out
@@scwilliams386 lol he's a real fisherman. I thought he was going to be a computer guy! Lmao 🤣🤣😅
Lets ask a 22 year old fisherman how long it will take to build a bridge on national television.
Yeah right? Lol! 😂 😂😂
Hear what the media 🤡 said it could happen anywhere!!!!!
He is a professional fisherman that goes back generations.. they know that area better than most
He sounds just as good as Structure Engineering guy🫣as they dont know that bridge as good? HE know that Bridge good having crabs under the bridge alot ? My 2 cents on him he know that bridge better then most people ? It was his way of living? Guess going have go deeper water away from the bridge 🌉 to crabs fishing for a living?😉
Why not? Our government thinks they know what's best for the country and its going to hell.
Wonderful to see a young man of that community with intelligence speak, no drama or agenda.
He didn’t say (like like )
I fell over laughing when he said all my life. I don't think he's even twenty five years old. But he is very well spoken I don't think he's a crack head.
That fisherman runs a UA-cam channel.
Agreed. You can tell his parents did a great job!
I'm from the area , I live less than 5 mi from that bridge, and when my kids are with their mother, and they can see the bridge from their backyard and out their Windows directly behind their house. It made for a great backdrop and view. We took pictures of my daughter for her first homecoming on the water with the key bridge in the background. Not everyone from Baltimore suburbs are crackheads SMH
Why'd he ask Luke about engineering 🤔🤦🏾♂️
Because, there is alot of Engineering in crab fishing. Why else would you ask him about how long he thinks it will take to rebuild that Bridge. Come on people didn't you know that, where in the hell have you been hiding, under a rock.
Its fox. What did you expect lol
This guy is far superior to the Olympic skier that embarrassed himself on climate change
Dude what are you even talking about? A skier and climate change is irrelevant what does that have to do with this...

EXPERTS have said that NO BRIDGE is designed to withstand a direct impact on a major support
Correct. Go look at the Skyway bridge in FL. A ship isn’t able to hit a major support. Cheap barriers prevent it. It’s so basic that my mind is blown that Baltimore didn’t install such inexpensive and cheap protection.
@denali2m4 if they eliminate the chance, they'd be everywhere
@@denali2m4 your opinion is cheap and terrible humor
It's a suspension bridge, if it wasn't then it could possibly lose a support and not have 100% of the entire elevated portion of the bridge fall like this one did.
There are other ways to build bridges other than to make them suspension bridges.
Esp. If they have electrical problems ...
To put it into perspective each container is roughly the size of a tractor trailer and each cargo ship averages about 15,000 containers.
The man is right unless you have traveled to this area you can't visualize the extent of the enormus damage. This is a recovery stage taking place. My sincere prayers are for the victims of this tragedy and praying for a quick recovery.💔
I grew up there, was in the Coast Guard in Curtis Bay there just minutes from the Key Bridge. Know the area well. The authorities were offered numerous chances to upgrade and retrofit that bridge with fenders, bumpers and islands to make hitting the narrow 1200 foot main channel opening less dangerous. Boaters called placing those cargo ships through it ramming a pig through a python. My sister in law lives less than 10 minutes from the bridge, in Dundalk, on the water. My wife is from Dundalk... It was sad to see it fall from Florida where I live now, but you need to understand that bridge was hit by a cargo ship in 1980 and stood firm. They took their chances not to retrofit or redesign like Tampa Bay did. I feel for the people of Baltimore, but not the politicians. The worse part is this will effect the entire east coast for months...
Luke is a very good young man I watches UA-cam channel and he is upstanding good American
Luke is a Stand up Man . Praying for you Brother 🙏🏼
Did that man honestly ask a crab fisherman how long it will take to rebuild that bridge? Really?
As the degradation of our infrastructure continues.
All going to plan!
Potatoes 1st bill was for over a trillion to rebuild America 🇺🇸 but don't see any new water lines, broadband or bridges 🤔
The pooper is going to rebuild it by himself
Amazing all the money we send to other countries, but don't take of our own stuff!!!!
All while our transportation secretary is breastfeeding his adopted male son wearing fake bosoms sitting beside his husband. It's unbelievable what's happened to America
Where do you find these people....then ask a crab fisherman how long it will take to rebuild the bridge? SUPER reporting!! and they wonder why people aren't watching the media anymore...

Love watching Luke's channel.
Great to see some young men still have grit glad he and his wife got a vacation
Great job Luke! So glad to see such a bright young man supporting our country in such a vital industry. So knowledgeable about the waterway. Great insight. Thank you!
Where were the tugboats ?!
I ask the same question but it seem to be not important...
What do you know about port rules and regulations concerning ANY HARBOR ?
The tugboats left after the engines started on the container ship. In hindsight it’s shocking that they didn’t stay with it until after it cleared the bridge. This was apparently standard practice there.
@@DavidNehme what do you know about tug operating in the harbor ?
@DavidNehme the tugs disconnected from the ship manuevring it from the pier to the channel, then disconnected, and followed it to a port designated area. It's the same in every port, every ship
There probably aren’t very many bridges that can withstand a 100,000 ton object hitting them.
Great fellow to have on your show. Waterman know things Americans cannot fathom. I hope all's well for him. Bay resident and boater speaking.
“I’m not a bridge expert, I’m a crab fisherman.” Real hard hitting stuff here.
black smoke from the stack means full speed a head
Could've been them trying to go in reverse.
In fact is is trying to go in reverse. The propeller in reverse drove the ship to the left which swung the bow directly into the path of the bridge. It was all they could do as they were adrift with no power for a time. Clearly it was a costly mistake.
You know nothing about how ship work kiddo

Traffic on 95 is always bad, now it will become worst
In the past, an engineer would and should be asked questions and opinion about collapsed mechanical structure, but today’s society is satisfied to interview a fisherman. 😂
This is a perfect representation of our current administration and how weak they have made us
what does the administration have to do with it? Can you explain?

Luke has great content on his UA-cam channel he’s not a crab fisherman he is a Jack of all trades !
Yo Luke . Thanks for the update
Likely the trains running on the bridge weakened the structure. Pothole Pete and Sniffy should investigate.
I thought this was an interstate not a train bridge.
@@brendakeller9646It is. Biden said he's rode a train across that bridge many times 😂. No trains have ever went across that bridge
The new tolls for a new bridge 🌉 will catruple for the residents of Baltimore. $75.00 one-way.
This fisherman knew allot
I have engineering skills, and I loathe the cantilever designs the colleges teach. They are fragile if not carefully designed.
The bridge should have had a breakaway feature so that one section collapsing wouldn't take down the majority of the bridge - this could have saved 1/2 or more of the number of lives lost.
No accident power goes off right before hitting the bridge. Ship hits the bridge right on target😂😂😂No near miss🎉
Container ship are overloaded and hard to control all these because of greedy companies
liberal logic at it's best. When you want to blame someone besides the unqualified diversity hires who are running America (that you voted for). Blame the evil greedy corporations and capitalism for everything 😂😂 Unbelievable
Stop gaslighting the people. This wasn't an accident.
Prove it 😅😅😅
But you were.
No doubt my friend. The devil is on the loose and the truth will come out eventually.
Here we go. Another trump conspiracy theorist loool
Blame Biden on that too
The only way you're fortifying a bridge like that against a 100k tons in motion is by laying the channel out in such a way that it runs aground and has a good 4-500 feet of mud or sand it has to bulldoze to even get near the pylons. and even then it's not a sure shot. There's also no way to do that without severely affecting the safety and navigability of the channel itself. The answer is to rework the ships and the protocols concerning their movements in port so that we don't end up with a hundred thousand tons swinging wild down the channel, cuz there's precious few things we can build that can resist that sort of momentum.
Varney can ask some of the dumbest questions.
America needs infrastructure updates! WAKE UP!
WHEN IS THE GOVERNMENT GOING AFTER THE INSURANCE COMPANIES OF THIS SHIP AND THE SHIP COMPANY WE DONT NEED TO PAY FOR THIS THEY DO!!!!!
Luke you've broke through into the big time, making it onto the national stage being interviewed on FOX News.
Yah, its damaged. I couldnt tell from all the video out there but thank you for confirming it.
What a gentleman !
First it will probably take months to clean up all debris then it’ll probably take months to redesign then here come the years it’ll take to build. I forgot they can’t start anything until they find all of those bodies.
Fox guy asking a fisherman how long does it take to fix a bridge. Tells you alot about this guy

Not to worry. Our President has said the Fed will pay for it all. Translation: Either higher taxes, more deficit, you, your children and/or your grandchildren will pay for it. As for the shipping company, who knows who they are connected to in politics. Money will be made at the citizen's expense.
Hampton Roads, Virginia has bridge tunnels. They might need to invest in that.
so im a steel worker, i am blessed, being humble
It is massive it has a four-lane road on its foredeck and there’s at least 40 or 50 feet in front of that to the bow

He is a UA-camr I watch his videos
Yes, this guy has a wonderful You Tube channel!
Love how New York harbor has a policy of escorting their cargo vessels out of the channel with tugs. Thus, when that large cargo ship lost propulsion yesterday, they were able to slowly bring it to a halt and anchor it before it had a chance of hitting the bridge. It Baltimore, despite the narrow 1200 foot passage under the Key Bridge (pig through a python), it was no tugs after being taken off the dock. Anyone planning to ram a ship into a bridge would have picked Baltimore harbor due to the lack of safeguards, and infsufficient dolphins and fenders at the base. Not saying that this happened there...not enough facts to conclude anything yet. However, comparing Baltimore to other ports assumes they have the same policy and lack of tugs. It is nice to see this young man express such an interest, however. He cares for his port and community. Unfortunately, the politicians up there keep acting like no one could have foreseen or taken precautions against such a tragedy. Ask Tampa Bay....that just is not so.
Especially when the cargo company is based in Singapore.
It sounds like some ferry businesses could make some money going in there for awhile. There could be ones to haul people with their cars back and forth, or just haul people back and forth. I'm probably just staying the obvious? I have never even been there.

Hey everyone... I wanted to tell you gravity exists as well
The USA has bridges failing on the interstate highway system. This needs to be fixed !
Luke's the man, the crab fisherman!
Florida learned what to do 40 years ago.
Way to go Luke!!
obviously,, EVERY LARGE ship is going to have to have tugs escorts past vulnerable bridges etc.. not just escorted but lines attached
How many other harbors are like this one, wide river where a ship under power with tug assist must be turned 180 deg and then capped with a high traffic bridge? Just ordinary people in the engine rooms. How soon before all of them have a accident?
It took 50 years before this accident happened.
Sunshine bridge in Florida is protected after the 1980 boat hitting that bridge
Our buddy Pete will get right on it. Oh maybe he won't, he knows nothing about anything! FJB and Mayor Pete.
that ship looks like it´s carrying at least 3,366 40ft containers , with an average weight of 40,000 lbs per container. do the math. over a few million lbs on tha ship. no bridge in world can withstand that impact.
Hey Luke!! Your in the big time now!
Wow, so you’re asking a fisherman? WTH!??? Where’s the interviews of the 22passengers who were on board when it happened.
With all the improvements made over the years, why can’t the military put in a few of the floating bridges just to get some of the traffic over to the other side?
Better explanation then an expert being interviewed about this!!!
