Holy Cow, that guy Bernthal is an incredible actor. What a difference in personality between the actor and the character. What a believable transformation. I’ve known guys like his character and to see how different he is in real life is incredible. How does he do that?
You are right! Jon was like an animal in this movie. He was really disgusting. While watching him you would like to have a shower. However, Jon is the nicest person
@@minhhenry8308 yeah the tigers were the most scariest tank during ww2, i mean i could be wrong but that is the inly tank that i know of that is scary to go up against
I love this film and shia did such a FANTASTIC JOB! I felt it when the actors passed away in their moments and the “kid” being the only one who lived being the scared character with no passion it upset me these men were brothers.. why him
Same here, I thought Shia killed it. I remember when the movie came out and I heard he was in it. I just laughed because everything in his personal life was just always filled with controversy and I didn’t have hope that the film was going to be good. I was dead wrong!
The two years I spent as a weekend warrior are some of the best in my eight year military career. I served in the 1st Battalion 156th Armor Regiment in Shreveport La. One of my duties was driver of a M60 tank. We trained at North Fort(Lil Nam) Ft Polk La and the tank trails we're endless. The terrain, weather, and various things that can bite you n leave a mark were intense. But that past experience helped me not only enjoy but appreciated the immense sacrifices their characters portrayed!
Amazing movie, characters do provide a glimpse into our manhood as it relates to the bond created by such a crew. one of the best war movies, if not the best..
I believe he mentions Arkansas when him, Bible and Gordon are initiating Machine. Bible mentions Missouri, Gordon mentions Chicago, and Grady mentions Arkansas
Sounds like what a real tank crew must have been like. Tired, stressed and bonded! While it is true that our soldiers are brave and and are willing to make great sacrifices, we have a responsibility as a society as a nation to respect their gift and not put them in harms way unless absolutely necessary. The half-ass way our government deploys our soldiers around the world is pathetic and heaps contempt upon their nobility! The camaraderie as the actors described should be considered a microcosm of what our world must be for humanity to survive in any meaningful way. Diversity is respected and cooperation must become the foundation of international relations. Apartheid, hate and religious fanaticism will not survive in a world were people help other people because it is the right thing to do. For example, help poor nations develop strategies and an infrastructure that can provide food and health care for their citizens. Help other nations become self reliant just because it is the right thing to do. It is called global cooperation. When you distill out respect for diversity and global cooperation you end up with compassion and love. I think it is crystal clear that with the current global model that includes competition and disrespect for diversity humanity is going nowhere quickly! I say take the tank crew model for survival and spread it globally. You will see that it will no longer be necessary to maintain an empire with 900 military bases around the world. Here is what I am talking about, put so eloquently by Martin Luther King Jr. ( MLK), “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” Were does the notion/ concept of justice come from? For me justice is divine. On Earth we get it all messed up with justice being defined by our perceptions. This way of looking at justice becomes problematic. Too many people think they are being just while committing acts that manifest pain and suffering. For example, there was no divine meaning of justice at hand when the US military kicked the indigenous population off of the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, to build a military base? Meditation is a tool to calm your mind to allow for a better connection with the divine. If you are confused with Earthly application of justice you will see more clearly with meditation divine justice as MLK was talking about in his famous quote. It is this divine justice that should be the hallmark of humanity. Divine Justice = Love
"Were you close to Shia LeBouf as your character was to his?" "... and then you realize: 'Aw man. I got Shia LaBouf and Brad Pitt up there.' They're worth hundreds of millions of dollars, ya know what I mean? I'm like, I don't wanna get sued." I'd say that sums up the answer to that question succinctly. Though the question was directed at Bernthal apparently.
Fact was that they didn't see many Tigers because there weren't that many in their sectors and if they did they ran just like the Brits did in the western desert and called for air strikes.
Driving with sticks is pretty much how any skid steer operates. From tanks, to bobcats, to excavators. The fundamentals really haven't changed that much
I like all the actors in this movie but furry has to be one of the worst military movies ive ever seen. Hamburger hill is pretty bad but this one takes the cake. Over the top bs, we get it war is hell. Having percy jackson being this scared little kid that the others had to drag into fighting for his and the others lives was dragging on and on. The dinner with the women, the moron commander, one cliche after another. Record it and fast forward to the combat, the rest is crap.

I totally agree. He seems and sounds so different !
He was great in seasons 1 and 2 of “The Walking Dead”, before it went to shit.
He was fantastic in the walking dead
You are right! Jon was like an animal in this movie. He was really disgusting. While watching him you would like to have a shower. However, Jon is the nicest person
Before I got into the interviews, I thought he was a production designer or something. What an actor!!
These two in a buddy comedy with some action thrown in... hell's yeah 💀
I love these two guys. We need more projects with Michael and Jon.
To be able to drive a Sherman must’ve been a cool experience
Christopher Haist I couldn’t imagine man. If you got any cool stories I’d love to hear
Yeah
What about a tiger tank that would be pretty damn cool as well i mean it was a beast of ww2
Until you meet a Tiger
@@minhhenry8308 yeah the tigers were the most scariest tank during ww2, i mean i could be wrong but that is the inly tank that i know of that is scary to go up against
Bernthal for me will always be the Punisher.
He was good in the walking dead and the pacific too
"Yeah but they're worth hundreds of millions of dollars...", wow, that was a pretty cruel thing to say. Poor Jonny :-(
They're all rich some are just richer then others trust me he doesn't care
LOL yeah, I guess you're right.
Dang they both played as cops that's so cool
Wow he didn't have to point that out its not like jon cares anyway but he is still human at the end of the day worth millions or not .
I think Mike was burning Jon deliberately. They’re good friends.
Both these guys are incredible actors
When I was a tanker in the Army it was the best job I ever had.
Lol I see what u did there!!!
👍

All you guys were awesome , i keep watching the scenes over and over it was so good. Wonderful character development.
In the military it’s called being part of a team that turns into family all in the face of adversity
Imagine driving a real tank with the punisher... holy moly!

You guys were great. Was that an “ easy. 8 “ model of the M-4 Sherman? When is the next movie?
M4A3E8 had wider tracks and an upgraded suspension system. It also had slightly better armor and an upgraded 76mm M1 cannon.
Thank you
does anyone know grady's accent in the movie as in what state it may originate from? in the movie its a lot different than the real actors

Two good actors I like but I despised their characters in this movie. I really hoped the whole tank crew would perish at the hands of the mighty 88...
It's a shitty movie!!!
