- @Alpharad challenged me to compete in a MAP RANDOMIZER race in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. This would truly test our knowledge of the Kanto region as we were attempting to do this challenge with ZERO NOTES. Whose Pokémon smarts would prevail them to victory?

Bruh, another discord user and I already spent like 6 hours using cheats to check all doors on this map weeks ago. Surge just doesn't exist on this seed, no way someone legitimately finds him. If they say they did, they faked it.
Edit: Welp, someone found it. Its in a glitched loop that is inaccessable without mapping tools.

This is the first time I've seen Captain Kidd's face. For someone whose mascot is Squirtle, I am shocked by how much hair/beard he had. I was kind of expecting a clean shaven man with no hair. It wasn't reasonable for me to assume but still.
While not impossible, I'm kinda surprised you haven't seen his face, since he puts it out there a lot, but yeah, talk about expectation subversion.

for context, Navel Rock is a mystery gift area, where you can find Lugia and Ho-oh without relying on Colosseum/XD. its also able to be accessed in RSE from what i know.
ya know, that time where mystery gift let you find a place and catch the mon, rather than the pokemon itself just being sent to you via the mail

Update: I tried The randomizer myself, and was able to find Blaine, Can't remember where though. And was able to access the first three Sevii isles. Doesn't seem they have been randomized.

I tried playing Skyrim again recently. Wanted to make a barbarian, but unfortunately, all paths led me to Sylph Co.

For those trying to patch your roms: What version of what game did you use? I tried multiple but haven't gotten any success
EDIT: Got it to work. Use Emerald, not Fire Red
Gonna just throw a few of my notable findings here too: There appear to be some broken warps. Specifically, one of the stairs on the upper floor of Victory Road and another that I don't remember. Another is from northern Route 10 entering into Rock Tunnel.
EDIT: Found a third: Entering the western exit of the Power Plant leads inside instead of where it should lead
EDIT: And another. Stairs going down from the upper floor of victory road
East Saffron exit is a soft lock. Don't enter it!
I checked out the rom in Advance Map to locate the warp, the warp from the gym leads to the outside of a pokemon center, that entrance leads to a route connector, which is then an infinite loop between the inside of the pokemon center and the connection between 2 routes making it impossible to reach the gym

@@aQrator That's what I found in Advance Map too, although I didn't know enough about the game to figure out how to get to the right side of route 15 since it's not a warp zone I can folllow
Were static encounters randomized or did the game try to reach internal number 249 but wasn't able to so it pulled the closest avaliabile number (mew instead of lugia)

I know that you and Alpharad couldn't find Surge (it turns out that was impossible), but I did find a way to reach Blaine!
He's at the end of the Route 15 gate but you have to go through all of Route 12-15 and get the Pokeflute or Surf just to reach him. There were a couple of ways to reach Route 12 but the simplest way to get there was going to the Pokemart in Cerulean City
