I loved Two on a Tower. I found it at a used bookstore and it was a Hardy I was unfamiliar with. It has all the Hardy elements I love.

I love poetry and will appreciate more reviews of poetry anthologies; and the listening to you read a poem is such a lovely bonus!

A great start to the day, a cup of tea in bed, watching the wind blow a gale, and adding to my tbr lists from your video. I love the addition of poetry.

I read Lily back in November and really enjoyed it. The story and characters kept me turning the pages. The cover is beautiful too!

One of my favorite things is having a coffee watching your videos. I always get such great recommendations from your channel.

Dorothy Parker was a member of the Algonquin Round Table, American writers who regularly got together at the bar of the Algonquin Hotel. She and the great American humorist and writer Robert Benchley were among those who were entertained by the Murphys in France before the war. Parker was employed at the New Yorker for a time and had stories published in the magazine. The hey day was the twenties-forties. Here Lies Dorothy Parker and several period histories and biographies have made good reading over the years. She and Benchley both did some screenwriting.

I've just finished reading North Woods by Daniel Mason. I can't recommend it enough. A ghost story but also full of humanity.

If there's only one book you read in January, pick up up Ben Shattuck's "The History of Sound". Beauty, wonder linguistic bliss....

I would have been chasing after Swithin in high school! So dreamy and obsessive.
