This is gonna be a good match! I’m going for Tommy Paul!
Hubi needs his 1st serve firing because he wasn't good on 2nd serve against Baez. Tommy, on the other hand, defended his 2nd serve well all week. It's 50/50 for me, but i give a slight edge to Hubi in 3.
I don’t think this is Tommy Paul’s worst surface, as he won the junior French Open.
Strangely his clay results have been lacking on the ATP tour. But in theory his style should work on clay

Clay is NOT Tommy Paul's worst surface. He won the junior French Open. TP in straight sets.
He beat Fritz in the final, not much of an achievement back then. On the ATP, his clay court record is bad, W/L 19-24 and this includes the 3 wins in Rome

@@alexlackner1945 Junior French Open is completely irrelevant though, they both flopped FO at ATP level (R2/R3), Hurkacz outperformed them (R4)
Using your logic Swiatek is a serious contender for Wimbledon as she was junior Wimbledon champion in 2018. It is the record on the seniors tour that matters.

Hubi reached at least QFs in all M1000 tournaments, only 10 other active players have done that - Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Monfils, Cilic, Thiem, Zverev, Dimitrov, Tsitsipas and Medvedev

I notice you tend to pick winners based on experience but I feel it’s a tad bit overrated especially in a tournament with a lot of upsets. Plus Paul’s been blitzing though his opponents while Hurkacz has had to battle it out against Baez. I think Paul gets another straight-sets win
blitzing through opponents? Karatsev is coming back from injury, he played only 2 matches this year before Rome (lost both). Koepfer is not a clay specialist, his clay court record is bad, Medvedev seems to have a shoulder injury (not the type to cause him pain but limiting his shoulder movement, he couldn't serve as well as he normally would, barely scraped through qualifier who made like 100 unforced errors)

@@BillyBob-xi9ih Too many errors from Hubi. Unfortunately he still sometimes does that, plays 2-3 good matches with excellent good winner/unforced error ratio and then suddenly loses focus and errors start creeping in
