Cualquier madera pero tiene que ser blanda. Yo en este vídeo recupere madera de ficus. Ahora sí encuentras te recomiendo cedro o Tilo. Saludos.

Es barniz al agua, eso se compra en cualquier tienda de arte, es un barniz que se diluye y limpia con agua pero una vez seco es resistente al agua. Es un acabado ideal para pintura acrilica.

Can you do this using one knife? All the woodworking people say "oh, you only need one knife" but all the goldfish tutorials I've seen have used MULTIPLE TOOLS

If you can use only a knife. The use of several is more than anything for practicality . But with a Morakniv for example you can do everything. You use the large blade for roughing and for details you will grab the knife half an hour to work only with the tip.
