- Have you had a hard time losing a guy you really liked in less than 2 weeks? Well use this ridiculous guide from this romantic comedy. As far as Rom-Coms go, Matthew McConaughey is stellar and Kate Hudson is also gem. This movie was an enjoyable watch that we got hammered to by taking shots to every rom-com cliche. Warning, if you plan to drink along with us, there are A LOT of cliches. Enjoy the thrilling experience that is the Nick and Cory commentary ruining (actually improving) one of your favorite, classic bangers.

the cory/ nick discussion over which one is more manipulative is so interesting to me. Growing up, I always thought Andy had it worse because he was decieving her to make her fall in love with him. He was only interested in her because of the bet. On the other hand, Andy just planned to have like 1 or 2 days with someone and it wouldnt impact them that much. His goal was to make her fall in love with him, hers was to try the common pitfalls of dating.

she didnt want the guy to fall in love, she wanted to never let it get that far because of "first dates faux pas" which is something completely different than falling in love
but i feel like their opinion comes from the stance that the guy would get his heart broken (which couldnt have happened since she was "weird and crazy")
Right, she was never trying to break his heart. That’s why she constantly was frustrated & confused why he hadn’t broken up with her. If it wasn’t for his bet he would have broken up with her way sooner & he wouldn’t have been hurt at all, he just got away from a crazy woman
getting someone to fall in love with you when you have no intention of loving them back is way more manipulative than making yourself incompatible with a person when you guys weren't even in love to begin with. I'm with nick on this
I'm with Nick on this one, bc like Andy says in the movie, you don't typically fall in love in ten days. she was trying to lose a guy before it turned into a real relationship, like if he hadn't had his own bet he would have dumped her by like day 3, no love involved at all. whereas dude's plan explicitly involved tricking someone into falling in love. I don't think Andy intended for the relationship to really progress beyond 'a hookup that im considering dating - oh no she's crazy nvm'

this movie is the perfect rom com in my opinion. it's just so genuinely funny and at the same time they have a lot of chemistry and are super charming leads. they don't make movies like this anymore
No it's worse what he's doing.he wanted to make her fall in love with him but originally he had no intention of loving her back . That would have broke her heart had she been just a random girl in a bar like he thought. She was just gonna mess with him acouple days not make him love her
Thank you like the whole point was that her friend always got heart broken not the guy the guy always left her because of how she acted. And he was only staying cause of the bet. It could have worked on her part like she never need to be more “crazy” if he did want prove that he could make her fall in love. The only she was getting more crazy was cause he didn’t leave
She never wanted to break his heart she just wanted him to break it off with her. If she was trying to break his heart it would mess with the whole plot of the movie because her friend who she writing the article about is the one who falls too fast she is the one heart broken not the guys she dates. He is worse yes what she did sucked but he wanted her to fall in love with him and then he would just leave her. They both used each other but he was definitely worse
Why do you think he would have left her if he got her to fall in love with him. He really liked her at the start. I think he would have loved her too. He just wasn’t thinking about that at the start. They had chemistry at the start. They were just both focused on there jobs. They both just didn’t realise what could happen.

@@ElizabethNLopez44 yeh but lots of people get together just to use people for sex and never intend to fall for them, even do nasty things to keep them at a distance but really like them. And then the ones that Say things to string them along, really not wanting them to love them. One side alway gets attached.

The situation in the movie was just messed up cause of there jobs. I think Ben thought I got this made cause she is really cool and they might just really fall for each other.
But yeh for the movie it had to go that way. It was mad that they were on the opposite side of the game if not Ben would have definitely won but for real.
If you take the movie for what it was it was super funny. 🤣

It is obvious his part of the bet is the meanest, she just wanted to make a dude cringe and leave her, he was typing to get her to fall IN LOVE, it take so much to make someone fall in love that to make someone feel uncomfortable with you. His bet us way nore cruel than hers
I feel like he was worse. If they did this to random people, what he does would be worse. Yes she was being annoying on purpose but, it's 10 days. Her task was to do a bunch of bad first dates she's not expecting love. He was trying to make her fall in love with him then he'd break her heart.
Exactly! Any other guy wouldn’t have stayed w her, they’d prob ghost her after a day or two. And he would’ve ghosted her too if it wasn’t for his bet. What she did would give the guy a funny story to tell his friends, what he did would break someone’s heart. 😂

Would you rather have someone just have bad dates, with you until you give up. Or would you rather someone does so many nice things so you fall in love fully fall in love with them for him to win a bet I mean I feel like I’d rather the first the second is actually heart breaking loosing someone means they just have to break up with you and not go on a date with you again doesn’t mean they were ever In love with you but making someone fall in love with you as a bet is way more fucked in my opinion

Nah Cory, I'm with Nick on this one both are equally bad but her goal is to lose a guy in ten days, that doesn't involve feelings. You can date someone over a couple of weeks and not be in love! But he's actually trying to make her fall in love in ten days! One of them is being a horrible date on purpose to lose a guy as fast as possible, the record being in 10 days. The other is about making someone actually fall for them. Emotional manipulation is so not okay. Like anyone who had their peepee called princess Sophia would get out of dodge with a hilarious story at the very least, and not a broken heart.
