Did the Ai not just cut off a car attempting to turn into your street from the main road of traffic. Why this manoeuvre is particular risky IRL even if people leave a gap for you, because you often can’t see approaching traffic behind the stopped vehicles anyway
Coming from a person who has driven FSD extensively… it’s easy to point out stuff like like this but it oftentimes does a lot of simple things not great. For example the lane change mechanics need a ton of work. The car wants to change way too often. It also has a hard time with some turns due to its ability to recognize far away vehicles and how fast they are moving. Again basic stuff it doesn’t do that great. There’s absolutely no way a robotaxi is coming anytime soon (meaning something completely autonomous to the point of not needing a steering wheel). Even those self driving taxis only operate on very specific areas at low speeds. The dream is a robotaxi that’ll just drive you absolutely anywhere. Not happening with current technology. There needs to be a leap forward for that to occur.
@@Kevin-cf8uu do you have v13.2.2? We are on the path. With regulatory approval I'm thinking a slow roll out over the next couple of years. Ai5 will come out and help the process and we should see this in the next 12-18 months. In the next 5-10 years I'm thinking most companies will have adopted Teslas software and hardware suite for licensing.
@@TotalTesla yaaa. I blame the driver's Low key. They waive me on like it was safe and then this big tow truck hit me it was kind of wild. My car was fine but from that day on I never have trusted anybody since
@@TotalTesla It's a spot where vehicles are not allowed to set down. This allows for adjacent vehicles to move without any issue when there's some sort of traffic on the main road.

This exact type of unprotected left turn is how I hurt my first car. Never again 😢
@@mooistheroo sorry to hear that. v13 feels really safe but as always use caution as it's still FSD Supervised.

He said unbelievable to FSD to make that decision and make the turn; not to the vehicle that was backing up.
