  • In this short video I am showcasing how to find the user that triggered the Flow. This can be helpful in many scenarios.
    Enjoy and thanks for watching!

Would be interesting to understand if we can find the user that triggered a different flow, not the one we're in.

Can you please explain a bit more?

@@Enea sure, you are currently using a Compose to retrieve the user that triggered the current flow, but it would be great if we can create a flow to find out who triggered a certain run of a flow

@@AdiCristeaa certain run of a certain flow? You would have to list all flows and all runs if you dont know the IDs

@@Enea to give you a business case, let's say we have a flow that 40-50 people can run. One of the runs amends something (a column in SharePoint, a SQL db, doesn't really matter), you want to find out who ran it so you can train them (you roughly know the date and time). You don't have the current solution implemented, so what you'd want is to run the flow in the video, but to find the trigger person for another flow

Looks doable but more complexe since you need a custom connector to call the API. Check out this link: ashiqf.com/2021/05/09/everything-to-know-about-power-automate-rest-api-to-manage-and-administer-your-flows/
