"The Second Renaissance" was the Best in all of the "Animatrix" Episodes, this is where the entire "Matrix" Franchise became full circle, A War between Man and Machine was the "Terminator War" we always wanted to see since Terminator 3 and Salvation.
I watched the Animatrix when it came out, I bought it, actually. It makes me sad that so many ppl didn't see it or dismissed it entirely as it really was amazing.
'Beyond' was always my favourite. The style of animation and almost dream-like exploration of a Matrix glitch in the system was very creative visually. I liked the idea of 'World Record ', someone's push for purity through physical excellence accelerating his psyche to break through the veil of the Matrix code was fascinating... And of course 'The Second Renaissance' is quite a powerful piece.
The still have this on DVD. The Second renaissance is the best story of the collection, imo. Great soundtrack too. While Marticulated’s story wasn’t that great, I did like the animation. Peter Chung did the episode, the creator of Aeon Flux.
Have you watched the 4th matrix (movie)? What's your opinion on it? Is it true that Morpheus died in one of the matrix's video games (I think matrix online was the name)?
The second Renaissance f*cked me up as a kid. I rewatched it again recently and it still messed me up. Just the awful imagery of the whole thing and the final battle.
Final flight of the Osiris reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy the spirits within, technologically / aesthetically speaking. Just remember this CGI movie came out in 2002. Idk when the Animatrix were made or came out but just saying...
I liked two of the shoet films. The samurai one & the robot war. The robot war really stuck out for me. I felt so bad for that female robot was getting getting just mob by that group of humans. She was getting beat & ripped too pieces. it was brutal, that's the first thing i always think about when someone talks about that movie. The other mini films was just too slow for me.

Just watched this the other day, to show someone the machine war backstory while watching the trilogy and WOW it was even better than I remember!

It's annoying how stupid the humans are in the second renaissance, like I know people can get dumb but damn...
Not even the Wachowskis like Matrix Resurrections, it's like they made it out of spite lmao
Warner Bros would do it with or without the Wachowskis
Codename: kids next door did an episode based on the Second Renaissance
May god have mercy on man and machine for there sins
Sometimes I wish I could plug back in and live in the matrix as a program. There's never enough blue pills. 😉

I've only seen parts of the second Renaissance. That is nightmare fuel.
I liked The Animatrix more than the main movies.
The game was live asf tho 😅…… I never saw the anime just cause idk honestly

I've always enjoyed the Animatrix and the different animation styles
This video game seems fine and reminds me a lot of Syphon Filter. I mean technologically speaking.
