This was very nice! I will definetely be doing this to my new reel when i get it.
I have this reel also, the handle swap alone is a great upgrade. I cannot remember the weoght dofference but it was very significant. I am here to check the clicker install as Im not sure which one to get from Ali. I also out a shallow spool in from Ali.
The bearings you removed are filled with grease and the new ones you mounted are lightly oiled. Thats why they spin so well. If you remove the metal rings on the old bearings and remove the grease using WD-40 for example they will spin just as well. Don't forget to use some thin oil after using WD-40 as its not a lube type of oil.
The ones I removed are just regular ones (all steel) and ones I installed have some ceramic in them..
Cheers
@@AndrewsKnots In that case I understand the upgrade of the bearings. 😉
Loved watching that but no sure I would have the confidence to upgrade my kastking zephyr when it arrives
I really wanted it on my SLX DC so I just ordered a Shimano 20 Exsence DC SS XG from Japan. $250 and is basically a finesse Curado DC with drag clicker
Also you can buy a lighter dyi spool from aliexpress and this reel will do 2g casting. Probably the cheapest proper BFS reel with metal frame, low profile, with proper magnet brakes....
Ceramic bearing, drag clicker and new handle wow just feel to stick with Baitcaster reel forever😊
For shimano will be 1 measurements and for daiwa and abu garcia will be the same measurements of the handle hole, and you can buy spacer to use daiwa or abu garcia handle on shimano reel...
Andrew very good video, I have 2 questions : How you determine the new bearings are better than the original ones and second, any improvement on casting with the new bearings.
These new did spin like crazy without any load. I haven't tried the reel after upgrade.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother during the lockdown xD
@Gannon Jedidiah yea, have been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :D
Ya dont want to grease your drag guy wow u want that dry so don't slip that drags not going to work at all u ruined it
hi Andrews, one question, would you recommend this type of bearing for my piscifun alloy m? I use lures from 1/4 to 1 oz. thank you very much for your videos they are very useful
I wouldn't. Alloy M casts very well from 10 g. and from 7 g. with the right rod.
@@AndrewsKnots-The alloy m and the Alijos actually come with very good bearings I have not had a problem with either and I’ve had them for over 3 years. Just clean the bearings with brake cleaner and then flush with alcohol and dry them and they will work good as new. Piscifun reels are very good
Did u added a drag clicker to the Piscifun Alloy M too? I wonder if I can upgrade my Piscifun Carbon XCS with a drag clicker.
Hello, with these new bearings the Abu Garcia RevoX reel will cast further ?. You throw lures with a minimum and maximum weight with these new bearings ?. Thanks for the video.
what type of grease can I use on my drag disk? is there a specific brake pad grease?
Я пока заказал подшипники на
Риво Х! Но, будет ли это влиять на дальность, точность, легкость заброса? Или, как на базовую машину повесить "скамейку"?
Will depend on the bearings (old and new), what weight s will be used and so on.. Probably you won't notice big difference.
why dont casting reels come with clickers?
Well, there are many things that manufacturers don't do but they should. 👍
Your drag will be a little lose after that grease on dry drag(carbon drag washer)
*Sorry for my bad english
I dont know about this!!!! Everything's wrong except the ceramic bearing!!! 😢😢😢😢😢 poor baitcaster!!!
I was a bit worried but when you tightened the drag star at the end it sounded nice
Thanks.
