The platforms of line 8 were the very first to be build on the new standard length of 105 metres. Those of line 9 are 75 metres. Although many stations opened after 1930s were build with plotform length of 105 metres (several lines including 8, 9 but also later stations on line 1) the introduction of standard 105 metre long trains as standard never materialised. The standard train length is still 75 metres. Except automated lines 14 120 metres (MP14 CC) and line 1 90 metres (MP05) and 4 90 metres (MP89). So in short: there lines with 5-car trains (majority), 6 car trains (line 1 and 4) and 8-car trains (line 14). The momument at 0:55 is only for those employees of the CMP and NS who died in WWI on the front. In the battles listed at the bottom of the monument. Why this station was chosen is a bit of a mystery.
