And finally the Citadel has arrived in Norway. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my hands on the Citadel for over a year now, and now it’s here. Looking so much forward to testing it in the Norwegian winter 🥶 ❄️🇳🇴
@@p.richter9592 Yes I use S in Citadel but MEquipment don't produce XS ,so in my case size S is way to big. I still use old version but is falling apart, Best jacket I ever had. I tried find new old model , can't find it , I could pay extra to get it
Hi which would jacket would be netter for warmth a fitzroy or kryos . They are both almost exactly same weight and have the infinium outer. Just cant decide between them. Thanks

Can you compare citadel or fitzroy with RAB generator alpine. I have RAB photon pro and its too cold for me. Searching for warmer one Can you give me a hand?
We wrote the following head-to-head of the ME Citadel vs. BD Belay Parka, which might be of interest, as they're roughly equivalent in terms of warmth. We've never done a direct comparison of the Fitzroy/Generator Alpine, but we have reviewed each individually, and there is mention of a few specific details within the Generator Alpine review (i.e. difference in fill/weight). Here's the links to the various reviews referenced: www.ukclimbing.com/gear/clothing/synthetic_insulation/heavyweight_belay_jackets_from_mountain_equipment_and_bd-14339 www.ukclimbing.com/gear/clothing/synthetic_insulation/mountain_equipment_alpamayo_and_fitzroy_jackets-14052 www.ukclimbing.com/gear/clothing/synthetic_insulation/rabs_new_generator_alpine_jacket-14116
If it's any consolation, not a single member of staff at UKC voted for Brexit. It's been bad on so many levels that I think we're all in shock that a) it happened and b) that nobody has turned around and said "hey, this is shit - maybe we should do something about it". Hopefully the situation will change at some point, but I can't see it changing anytime soon unfortunately.
I'm inclined to agree, and in retrospect it seems pretty obvious. That said, the information you want is within our review on site, which has this and a whole lot more detail regarding how it performs in real life use. Fingers crossed you get a nice, cold and long season to test it in too!
This Citadel model is much bigger than previous version in the same size. I personally don't like it .
I tried size S and it looks like L or XL
@@aakoch6062 I usually wear a size Large, but I bought a size Medium for the Citadel. I personally like it. It’s the warmest synthetic jacket I own.

How does the fitzroy/alpamayo and Citadel compare to the ME trango or Kryos in terms of warmth?

I am close to choose ME citadel, but no one sells in Lithuania. Online in euros also not so much. Because of brexit cant not send from UK :(

Maybe you could compare citadel with ME Kryos. I have a oportunity to buy Kryos, but it is down insulated
Would it not also be useful to show the pack size?

Still confused. Which one is better for warmth then?
The Citadel is the warmer of the two (by far)
@@ukclimbingofficial Thanks!
