Misdiagnosed for years. The damage is done. Even after 8 orthopedic surgeries the orthopedic doctors overlooked my PsA and AS. I am now crippled. This doctor sounds like a very good and thorough one.

From the perspective of a long term psoriasis patient (>35 years) who has developed PsA and AS in the last few years, this is absolutely the best suggested screening that I have encountered. I had unexplained heel pain for almost 4 years, and it didn't ring alarm bells with either a rheumatologist or a dermatologist. It was only when my hands began swelling and the proximal joints of the fingers of the left hand became red and tender did anyone even consider systemic therapies. Dr. Menter's proposed diagnostic screenings would have saved me much agony and grief.

Most ordinary patients rely on t.heir GP to make the correct diagnosis AND referral to the correct consultant.
Most patients are not diagnosed early enough. Perhaps GPS should also watch this video

2 yrs now since you posted this...hope you are better now.......i was myself developing early joint disease when i tried functional medicine & naturopathy approach.....cut out all gluten & healed my gut....all the problems such as what you listed vanished & other than a slightly distorted toe joint, am fine. Do try if you haven't already. Best of Luck!

This is a great video. I believe I have this, I didn't know that pain in the sacroiliac joint could be linked. If pressed during a massage, unbelievably painful!

I really wish this video has subtitles because he's saying stuff I want to google, but it's so hard to figure out what he said.
at the end of the video he said we either start them on tnf or one of the two "isle 17 drugs"? what is he saying? "isle 17 drugs"? what is that?
    SUBTITLES!
