I haven't made time enough to follow alpha hour but the recent attacks and backlashes that have besieged it gives me a hint that there may be something peculiar about it.
In any case those who are consided as wasting time and the rest to follow have their own discretion to do so and therefore I don't think it should be anyone's problem at all. Again, no rational human being will ever commit to doing something that is of no benefit and yet continues to.
