Hi there its very useful tip for you when ever you going to fry any sweet like gulab jamun first take pinch of dough and put in a oil if your dough pops up your oil is over heated if dough comes slowly up after some time then it was ready to fry hop done the answer ( SHUKRIYA )
When fried on high heat, they quickly get nice color from outside but become hard inside in the core. Next time fry them in hot oil but lowest flame setting of ur gas. It may take 3 to 5 mins depending on the jamun size to fry well. I only learnt this after few failed attempts.
I'm sure that i don't want to consume that oil after using 2 times I give it to my cook or maid they r too happy to use it like to fry fish etc at the max u will loose 70 or 80 rupees.... it's better than buying sweet 😉
