I love this video - showing great examples of the colorist mouvent/ fauvism and the different historical movements and use of color. - e.g. the early renaissance has a wonderfull way of using colors that I come back to again and gain and Gauguin and the post Impressionism use color also in a very inspiring way. The use of Colors are really one of the pure joys of paintings - 💛🧡🩵💗♥️🤎🩶
It’s a wonderfull video - indeed it is indeed super inspiring to look so closely at the paintings and listen to the story and the quotes from the two artists Henri Matisse and André Derain - e.g. - the artistic choice to simplify details and in that way intensify the feelings expressed in the colorful abstractions 💛🧡❤️♥️💜💚🩵💙🖤
Very interesting to follow his development but I very much prefer his wild colorful paintings - but it shows very clearly that he mastered all kinds of techniques and styles and that different circumstances opened some possibilities but also closed other. 🙏♥️
