I have a slightly different idea, just to help make sure no one loses track of their place in the rotation. My team sticks to a buddy system, where players one and two are always suppressor (for example), and we trade off when one of us deactivates. The only difference now is that players one and two are suppressor for rounds one and two, scanner for rounds three and four, and operator for rounds five and six. Basically the same thing as the chart, but if you ever forget what role you're supposed to have next, you always know who your buddy is and you can easily figure it out, rather than other people having to keep track of what number every player is to help you if anyone forgets.
EXTRA PSA: WAIT FOR THE AUGMENT TO LOCKOUT BEFORE SWAPPING!!! if it doesnt say augment lockout, it won't count for challenge. Yes, you can get penalized for being too quick 😂😂😂
This is by far my favorite challenge from a raid. There’s so much action and it’s so fun. We did it before any video came out and we made our own method it’s just super well thought out.
Our clan did this last night. We just numbered ourselves based on the order or the fireteam and we did the swaps on the left side since it has the least amount of action. Completed it on the third try with two people who didn't know the encounter. It was a lot of fun to play all of the roles during the encounter!
Tether is really good for this btw, especially when swapping buffs in the kiosk. Means no adds bugging you while swapping, allowing everyone to concentrate on the task at hand.
Another note: if you die and you pick up the Augment again, it counts as a double pick up and fails the challenge, even if it doesn’t say it - just wipe at that point Also, a tally keeper of who has and had what really helps for keeping the team’s head straight
The only thing that scuffed my crew’s first try was the depositing before deactivated augment. Had to go through another raid to get the completion. Def recommend saving an encounter checkpoint on an alt. character to be safe.
I did this challenge many times and in 3 different ways: partner/team Passover, left and right swap, but the easiest was pick up one u haven't at the point of that run... Surprisingly effective in how each sported it, but if someone ever went 2 rounds without picking up... Wiped immediately
The tldr: Everyone splits in 2 teams of 3, they will rotate which team is doing things every round. Everyone will rotate jobs on their turn in a “traffic light” color: blue-yellow-red. If you’re red, next go you’re blue. Everyone do this for 3 rotating rounds each. Gg
The issue with that is someone in the first group will have augment locked out every time. Will it work? Yeah but you’d have to juggle balls to allow said person with augment lockout to pick up the next augment when their timer runs out. 3 groups of 2 is better
Fun fact: the Round number appears as green bars below where you deposit the nuclear cores. if you pause at 4:10 you can see one green bar so they have completed 1 round and at 4:59 they have completed 2 rounds.
the way my team did was to look at roster and figure out who is before you and who is after, based on roster. then we assign the first, third and fifth people on roster to pick up an augment first. Then, when it is swapping time, yo grab the augment from who is before you or you give the augment to who is after. All you ned to remember is who you take from and who you give to
You can follow the chart, but it really isn't necessary if everyone knows every roll. You can split two teams of three and just pass back and forth and just pick-up something you haven't run before. You can even just chaos method it just tells everyone to pick up something they haven't before. Some people could even run the first 3 runs with an augment and then the last 3 without. However, if you run a free for all method, you do risk someone being locked out at the time they need to pick up an augment. Easier just to pass back and forth between two groups of 3 and just pick-up which ever you didn't have. Not too hard.
I predicted this was going to be the challenge when I was reading through the triumphs (as everyone else did). At the moment I started thinking everyone should split into 3 teams of 2 and there would be Op 1&2 Sup 1&2 and Scan 1&2. Op 1, Sup 1, and Scan 1 would get their respective buffs the first round. Then on the second round it would go to Op 2, Sup 2, and Scan 2. Then on the third round Op would go to whoever was Sup 1 , Sup would go to whoever was Scan 1, then Scan would go to whoever was Op 1. So on and so forth.
A quick tip to every suppressor: You can use any lasting damaging effect on Taniks and just run through every sentry thingy, including the exotic grenade launcher (Forgot the name)
I like watching these to see what complicated methods people like doing lol. Charts and graphs and data logs for raiding 🤣😆🤣. You can just split into 2 groups of 3 and swap buffs between teams/rounds. Easy, no graphs needed.
We do chaos too!! Sooo much more fun and you don't have to call anything out either. We don't even talk about the encounter at all. We just bs our way thru it. 100% success rate. Lol
We run "chaos" but for us that means whoever gets to the encounter first starts it with no rally, whatever you happen to have on, pick up whatever buff you see, and swap deactivated with whoever wants it.
This was the strat my team ran when we guessed this was the challenge and just for training to make sure everyone can do everything on the fly at a moments notice.
Finally SOMEBODY on here isnt a total scrub. It's the only strat anyone should be using. I instantly loath any player that tries to call out a job. Lol
I have all the things to done for the title apart from this challenge and the next weeks challenge but I cant be bothered, i always loose interest for raids after my 20th+ run and I never finish the title. Just cant then I'm like that's pretty cool title but just let it sit there 90% complete title. Cause by my 20th+ run I got all the God roll loot and exotic drop done
Same. There's always those center of attention diva queens that claim all the fun roles first. Just gotta speak up early and claim what you want before anyone else has a chance to
We did it yesterday and for some reason challenge didn't count and didn't say failed either. We did teams of 2. So I did did scanner then partner did scanner then I did operator then he did then I did suppressor then he did and that's how all 6 of did it but for their buff. Don't know why it didn't work.
Also if you put the any in before any get deactivated you will fail the challenge. We waaited for the deactivated turn theirs in first then the other two after.
Easiest way to do this is just to do your normal 2 man groups regualr augment holder and back up and just swap after both bombs are deposited each time and once both guys have had the augment the groups switch augments litterally figured this shit out and got it first try 30 min after reset this morning easiest challenge to figure out so far
In the comments section it says if you do it too fast it can get scuffed. So wait until augment deactivation before swapping. I had one scuf and was with ppl who already did it...i think that it can scuff if someone dies but that is just a hypothesis.
Right? Just split the teams up, 3 on left, 3 on right. Left takes first and banks to right, and all you have to do is not be a scrub and just remember what job you havent done yet.
Honestly the numbers and positions complicate things. Just pick up the buff if you see it. The 3 that don't have 1 should know to grab a buff once round is over. Rinse, repeat, done. Positions like this are just doomed to fail for less competent teams.
Fallout: I'm new to Destiny 2 and am level 12. I've tried PVP, as the game directs you. I've noticed in your footage, you shoot an opponent several times to defeat them. I, on the other hand, get 1 shoted every time, every match, ever. And it's not like I'm using a shotgun, seeing an enemy, spending a few seconds to get in range and get out gunned, it's more like, as soon as I even see an enemy name tag, I'm dead. Not enough time to aim, let alone shoot. See enemy, die. Hold down a flag, an enemy comes around the corner, a coner i have my gun trained on, I'm dead. Respawn, get spotted, die. Repeat. It is the most frustrating, least fun experience in Destiny 2 so far. Are aim-bots a thing? Does a certain internet speed make PVP unplayable? What am I doing wrong? I've played other PVP shooters before and though I'm not the best, I do my damage. On Destiny 2, the PVP end game stats are always me at 0 kills. Does everyone know some trick that I don't?
Same happened to us... but the next day, we decided to wait until someone got deactivated before depositing / picking up debuffs and that did the trick! You get penalized for dunking too early.
Soooo... My team kept doing the challenge and got it right, but it never gave us the chest. We never got the "challenge failed" prompt so we don't really know what happened. One person died with the operator buff so we thought that did it at first but then we tried again and no. It just didn't give it to us? Is this a glitch cuz I'm confused at this point
@@bobthebandit4844 thank you, I hope that's what went wrong so that I can know for next time. Tho idk y it didn't say challenge failed when that happened
Pair it with whatever primary ammo weapon you feel comfortable with whether it be hand cannon, auto rifle or pulse rifle. You only need specific weapons if you’re playing light level enabled pvp like Trials or Iron Banner.
Same issue with my crew first time around. The challenge failed is hard to spot with everything going on, so save a checkpoint on an alt. character. Challenge will fail if someone dies with a buff and then picks it back up, it counts as having it more than once. I believe it’ll also fail if your group is too slow to swap and the next round starts.
Over complicated way to do it . Just use the passing order as the way you take the buffs and you shouldn’t take the same buff twice .. was really easy ..
Theres green markers under the deposit caches to keep track of the rounds on the encounters :)

That almost fucked me up
It also doesnt work if someone with a buff dies at the running part

Yeah that messed our run up because it doesn’t tell you that you failed when swapping buffs early. Felt bad.
We made sure of this on our second run, and still somehow didn't get the challenge. Not sure why.
