I knew exactly what your favorite blush was before you got there! But for real for real I haven’t tried Gucci yet, but I kind of like my Dior. A lot of people say they’re not pigmented, but I like that buildable quality. Also love phytosurgence condensate, and singe. I go between rosé & brunch and belladonna from Danessa. I am just a blush whore honestly!!! I love the rose inc formula, I love Pat McGrath fleurtatious, agree with you on the Hauslabs hibiscus haze, and lately I’ve been wearing a lot of Surratt beauty barbe y papa - she is the glowy, hot pink moment that all these other hot pink blushes wanna be!!! I also cannot forget hourglass mood exposure and euphoric fusion.
Some of my favorite blushes are Melt's cream "Cali Dream" nd the powder "Nevermore" and the "electra" blushlight. I am very fair skin but I also love the Unearthly cosmetics "Gigi" blush and bh cosmetics has a stunning highlighter/blush palette with oranges, and pinks. I like to use some of my eyeshadow shades for blush too. 😊
I was a Pat McGrath blush girlie all the way. And then I met my real love, Gucci. Their formula is the best. I love the beautiful compact, the gorgeous colors and the ease of application. I love to put a bit of RMS blush on top when I want a bit or extra glow. Edit: In terms of colors, I do think you can make any color work any time of year. My cousin is like you in terms of loving a good peach moment. She lives in Pennsylvania. In the summer, she wears a lot of bright peach blush all over her cheeks with minimal eye makeup. In the fall/winter, she still wears a peach cheek but tones it down a bit and wears greens and browns on her eyes and works a bit of the peach into her eye look. She said if the color is on the trees, she can still wear it! It looks great on her year round.
The way you rolled your eyes when you said it’s still august and then applied the peach lol. I feel that! I’m so over summer it’s felt so long! Even in my nail polish I’m so over the brights. As beautiful as the holo taco anniversary collection is, I’ve barely worn it cause I’m ready for the deeper colors!
You were wildly successful at completing this difficult task, Alicia!! What a lovely range of blush you presented to us. I’d love a top 5 series from you-learning your top 5 liners, highlights, foundations etc... 😉❤
My absolute favourite is Desert Ochid by PML. That's perfection, to me. Second place is for Galactic by Dior, it was in their holiday release of 2022 and it's stunning. The shade, the formula, the finish. Everything. Third is the Shiseido Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush in Sonoya. I love the shade and really like the formula. I think it may be one of the most underrated blush formulas out there. Fourth is th Hourglass blush found in the quad released for Holiday 2020. For the fifth I am not sure, yet. Got one of the Suqqu melting blushes recently, but I still have to play with it to fully understand how I feel about it. I recently got Paradise Venus as gift with purchase with the sunlit seduction release and I am so glad I did. I am fair, so I have to be careful with the application, but it truly is stunning!
Paradise Venus and Dior Charnelle have my heart forever. But, to throw in something new, the Valentino liquid blushes are blowing me away with blendability and lasting power. (Alicia, they have a terracotta! 😂😂)
THE WAY my Danessa Myricks blush in Rose n Brunch has become my hands down, go to, every day, every look blush! I LOVE it. I get it. Love your videos Alicia! ❤❤❤❤❤
I finally tried Paradise Venus. I like it, it's a pretty, muted rose color on our skin tone. I prefer neutral-warm oranges and coral pinks/reds but Ill find an occasion to use Paradise Venus. I do have rose lipsticks.
Tell me whyyyy, Alicia, I have FOUR of your top five blush formulas and two are even the same shade... WHEN I'm not even a blush person. 🤨 Not that I've been disappointed... they are gorgeous.😊
Summer Fling by Makeup Geek is my favorite blush ever. I Wear Nars Valencia, and Syracuse when I tan. The color is perfection. I think that's the "peach' for us. It's described as a medium, warm orange. Other great color blushes are Half Caked blush in Liv On Sunday (it's a burnt apricot), Half Caked blush in Day n Night (rosewood color), Essence Baked Blush in 04 Bold Heart (pink/red-leaning coral, looks stunning) probably similar to Singe, and Milani Color Harmony in Bronze Burst 02 for that "I'm cold' or sunburnt look applied in a W over cheeks/nose. Loreal Infallible in Fearless Coral looks pretty too (traditional coral color).
I wasn’t a blush girl until I met the melting blush formula from Suqqu. Wet, cream-like finish with a powder seamless application. I use the 07 berry-ish tone as sun kissed effect high on my cheeks and crossing over the nose bridge, probably my fave. And have accumulated a few shades 😅
Yesss this formula is impeccable! I have three shades. Unfortunately, the line is discontinued due to inability to ethically or sustainably source ingredients 😔 I’ll cherish my three forever!
So glad you brought this series back. I literally thought about it the other day and here it is. I haven't tried Gucci Warm Berry yet but I plan to now that I've seen this video. You've referenced it before but it hit home today, lol. I also. have phytosurgent on my list too.
Love the selection! I’ve never tried phytosurgence, going to purchase that Singe blush IMMEDIATELY! I’m a dark olive complexion, (Danessa blurring balm #7) and I’m the opposite seasonally. I love the pinks and brighter pops of colour in the winter when I’m paler , to look slightly frosty, and use the bronzy terracotta’s and tawny shades to look a bit sunburnt in the summer 😄 I’m loving the Nars multiple stick in orgasm rush. So easy to use and look like I feel asleep on the beach 🌅
That Nars blush shade looks like perfection, but a review said it doesn't stay put 8-12+ hours on dry skin. I have oily skin so zero hope. The color reminded me of Makeup Geek blush in Covet and Wet n Wild Blazen Berry, they are both close to a bronze rose tone, but leaning a bit berry. Great colors on me (I wear Nars Valencia).
I have gone a bit crazy with blush this year. So, I have a ton of faves, but I’m going to try to just pick 5. Armani #50, Dame PMG’s Divine Rose, Gucci’s intense plum, Hibiscus Haze, Dior’s Cherry, and Chanel’s new 797. I cheated and gave 6😔. Great picks!
This has been my summer of Danessa Myricks Balm Powder for my complexion and blush. I love this blush so much. I hope she expands the shade range because I’d love a pink, a lavender, a brown…I want this formula in all the shades! I will put a swipe or two of an RMS blush on top of it when I want a more shimmery look. Perfection!
I'm glad you shared your skin-sobering journey. I tried it for a week and it made me appreciate how nice my skin looks when I use nothing but also how amazing some of my skincare products are. For example, what Adapalene (retinoid) does is just incredible. Same with Benzoyl peroxide and glycolic acid. Even a moisturizer like Differin Restorative Night lotion does good things for me (I have acne-prone, oily skin). The Goldilocks is a minimalistic routine, both in product variety and the frequency of application imho. It was very interesting to use just vaseline at night XD. I had to sleep on a towel because I also applied it to my neck! I won't be applying it on the neck again. All good fun though.
Melting Blush! I wore 08 as a bronzer until I had nothing left. I find surratt formula is similar, but they are teeny maybe that's how they offset their cost
🤩 These are all stunning picks on you. I haven’t tried any of these formulas but I can’t wait to give them a try! That Suquu formula, tho… that’s extra special.
I love listening to you talk about blush. Your terracotta blush video was how I first found your channel. Your enthusiasm for the nuances of colors and textures really comes through. My current favorites are the new Armanis, Pat McGrath, RMS, Bobbi Brown Brightening Blushes and the Chanel Fantasie from the Spring collection. I’m very fair so I prefer peaches, corals and pinks that aren’t too cool toned❤ Fun video!
You let me really curious about the Phytosurgeance one, you compared it with the Tower28 that is one of my true faves. Such a shame that this brand it's not available in Sephora or biggest retailers...
I swatched paradise venus on my arm a couple years ago when it first came out and didn’t like how it looked it at all. However, I recently got a free mini in the mail and I tried it on my face. I absolutely love how it looks, and I use it all the time now. This is the only product where I feel the application looks wayyyy better than the swatch.
Paradise Venus looks beautiful on you! 😍 I have the Suqqu Melting Blush no 3 & 4 and Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blush in Rose n Brunch, and absolutely love them both!
I haven't been able to watch you and a lot of UA-cam lately. Hi friends! Missed you! I'm glad to be back! I got Gucci *I believe the name is) something "rose" and I have to try it now.
Alicia, I love your review of the Phytosurgence blushes! Do you think the Sonia G Sheer Buffer brush will work well with their blush as well as the Phytosurgence bronzers? Would love your advice. Thank you!
I love the Suqqu melting powder blushes too! I have two shades, one of which you showed today. Have you ever tried the Armani neo nude melting cream blush? I recently did and it is so similar to the Suqqu in finish with even longer lasting power. I have shade 51 and I just love it.
@@DawnD_ you know I’m slapping my wrist for saying that I wouldn’t do coral for Autumn, and here enters the Chanel blush 🤣 I think if the oranges and corals are muted, then I think very appropriate for the Autumn season.
@@aliciaarcher 😂😂😂 I think the oranges and browns are perfect for Fall. But, you are right there are so many variations of orange. I think I love 🫶🏽 them all! 😆
BTW, I don’t like the new handles. I just noticed them 🫠. I’m like that’s not my handle, where did that come from. Apparently my YT name is popular, so they added the 3850.
Have you tried the Valentino blushes ? If not please do yourself a favor a try them any color , they are all just gorgeous, very close to Suqqu blushes .
@@aliciaarcher honestly, I have almost all of them , that is how much I like them and all great, 04 and 05 are my favorites. Oh Alicia I’m sorry but you are going to fall in love
Hello, Alicia. May i ask how peach blushes may look off on you? See, terracotta sometimes appears muddy on me (when it's too dark) or rash-like (when too saturated). Just curious about peachy blushes on you.

It’s been all about the purple blush for me this year! 💜💜💜💜💜
My faves: Armani (both formulas), Patrick Ta, and Suqqu melting powder. Item beauty and rose inc also have good cream formulas.
I love layering blushes. Gotta use what we have for sure 😍❤.
