I was in a senior in high school when this album came out. 16 years later I am married, have kids, and still listening. Let's keep this scene alive!!!!
Jesus Christ, those inhale/exhale screams that are extremely faint in the background of the final chorus, really take the song home. They’re so guttural and dark. Almost like somebody is being strangled or is drowning. Be it literally or metaphorically doesn’t matter in its intent. It just sets the atmosphere of the whole song off perfectly! 💯
We walk through the doorway, heard you calling from the hall To find you in the bedroom not breathing at all I drag your body to the cellar where we lay, the wax it melts away, I kiss your face... Girl I will never forget this song. I remember being 12 and my (catfish) twitter bf loved this song and of course the girl that was doing it killed him off and wrote a whole ass fake suicide note for me and everything. I would cry to this song for fucking hours lmao. But I’ll always still love it. Hits different even being almost 24
Fuck the nostalgia.... still hurts in the worst way Ronnie lmao god my feelings still fangirling after all this time. too bad etf with Craig or falling in reverse just don't do it for me like these original songs did
I think Dying Is Your Latest Fashion was the best album of ETF, but imagine what would have happened, if Ronnie stayed in the band. We still have Ronnie now in FIR, but never have discovered the talent of Craig. And when you think of FIR, I wouldn't want ETF to develop in this direction. The Drug In Me Is You was a really good album and partially Just Like You too, but what what Ronnie did in Fashionably Late or Coming Home was quite a musical crime, so I'm glad, that Dying Is Your Latest Fashion exists, but I would have missed all the other albums of Craig's ETF.
Such an era. Graduated 2010 and this band was on point. Always instantly takes me back every time. I’m in a much better place these days but who I was and the girl I had those days comes rushing back every time.

I have a friend who's girl died w a needle in her arm and they abused the drugs together. .he left for the store and came back to find her cold beautiful body on the couch. ..this song makes me think of him
I bought this album at a record store with my best friend in 2008 when we were 10 years old. I'm 23 carrying my first child and listening to this like there was no time in between.
This song reminds me of a heartbreak I had with a girl who didn’t see a future with me because she was Muslim and I wasn’t so we had to keep our thing lowkey, I knew she didn’t have as much feelings for me as I did for her but I continued to put myself through hell to get that rush and feeling of being “loved”. This is the song I played when I was so angry I broke and destroyed stuff in my room and had a breakdown because I was holding back how I felt for so long and couldn’t tell anyone , it’s like she was dead and wasn’t even real , especially when the bridge kicks in during the song “and Dow below, your veins run dry your vacant eyes,I lost control ,your face is pale your body’s cold” I just would sob on the floor knowing I could never be with her in the future and I was watering a dead flower, knowing she is gonna have a arranged marriage. now that I cut her off I thank ETF and all my old emo songs for getting me through that turmoil and pain even after my emo phase ,forever emo lol
this is the best song recorded by them, this was my favorite when I was like fourteen, I used to listen a lot Escape The Fate, now I cant handle them, the new Escape, and Falling in Reverse too...
Im listening to a bunch of Ronnie's songs (all the songs he sings) and I love how original he always sounds, he never trys to copy anyone else. It's hard to find bad songs he has sang, from this to Popular Monster.
In Ronnie's most recent tour, Ronnie's Three Ring Circus, he opened for FIR with DIYLF and it was phenomenal. It was a great opportunity to see ETF live one last time with Ronnie as the lead singer even if it wasn't with the original crew.
This album is fucking iconic I just can't leave it , this album has gotten me through 10 years worth of issues , I will always support Ronnie bit this album is just something special.

I still, to this day, miss Ronnie in ETF. I went out to see ETF 5 times with Craig and it was amazing, but I always wished Ronnie would be able to return. Now that the entire original ETF crew, except Robert, has business elsewhere I even more want them to return.. This entire (old) album is sooo good :(.
I used to swoon to this song in the weirdest way, as a lil emo teen. Such a beautifully dark song. Listening to this now I still feel like a teenager .. yet I’m 30.

LYRICS:
We walked through the doorway
Heard you calling from the hall
To find you in the bedroom
Not breathing at all
I drug your body to the cellar where we lay
The wax, it melts away
I kiss your face.
Now we are starting to love you more
Your body's on the canvas
I painted on the floor
Now you wait like the drug, like the change
And the pain it goes on for so long
And oh, how it hurts in the worst way now that you're gone
It's so wrong
It's so wrong.
If I could take you somewhere
I'd take you to the darkest place
Scatter you in art forms
Admire the whore
Beauty in different ways
Your hands on picture frames
Your eyes in the glass
Wear your face has a mask
Now they are starting to love you more
A gallery of your beauty
No charge at the door
As you wait like the drug, like the change
And the pain it goes on for so long
And oh, how it hurts in the worst way now that you're gone
It's so wrong
It's so wrong
And down below
Your veins run dry your vacant eyes
I lost control
Your face is pale, your body's cold
And down below your veins run dry your vacant eyes
I lost control
Your face is pale, your body's cold (Your face is pale, your body's cold)
Wait, like the drug, like the change
And the pain it goes on for so long
And oh, how it hurts in the worst way now that you're gone
It's so wrong [x10].
