I don’t care for the video shorts. It’s disappointing when you get a notice that a new video has been posted and it ends up to be a minute or less. I love 30 minute + videos so I can actually get something done with someone keeping me company. Love the motivation in this video. I’m watching Saturday night and will be rewatching tomorrow morning while I finish the laundry and clean the kitchen.
You are so blessed to have both set of parents.I miss my mom so much and now I have my dad with us.My mom also use to take my children 4 of them .The kids have beautiful memories of the time spent with them.They are truly a blessing.I know many people aren't as blessed as us.Keep smiling keep going.

In response to shorts. I prefer your extra long videos because they hype me up for cleaning my own house. I have never watched shorts. But I also never thought about it. The way you presented it with an option to find how to do something specific. It sounds like an awesome resource. And I love the crockpot meals. I would DEFINITELY watch those.

I put my grates and covers in the dishwasher. You do need to be careful and try not to get anything down those holes where the gas comes out, sometimes a burner may not light up right away. You did a great job! Cannot wait until you are in your new home! Great video!

Short videos would be a very good idea because you share a lot of tips and hacks and also recipes etc. It's easier to find them in shorts. I find your tips on cleaning very helpful and easy. 👍👍

I love your videos, and I’ve picked up a bunch of Tipps and tricks from them! So to give it back: putting a towel in the dishwasher door and closing it actually can cause the lining around the door to shut the water in to break. So maybe just leaving it open to allow the rest of the water to dry or drying damp things while unloading it might save some good money later.

I totally understand your feelings on Christmas this year. We are also moving around Christmas...literally. It's weird. Sad. But I try to keep in mind that next Christmas is definitely going to make up for it with the decorating in the new home.
We just moved into a new build last month with the same sink as your parents and I LOVE IT. I had a divided sink in our old house and it was the worst. It was too small for my crockpot and other large items. And I never had a use for the sink to be divided (like filling one side up with water to wash dishes or something, I never do that). You will love your new sink!
I usually don’t comment but I really love your channel I’m a stay at home mom and currently pregnant with our second child so it’s been hard for me to get motivated and clean but honestly your videos get me so excited to clean something you’ve also taught me a lot thank you.

Hey Jamie! Every time I watch your videos it calms both myself and my 3 month old down. You have such a nice calming voice and you pick good music!! It’s hard finding time to clean, especially as a new mom. Seems like I have no time to clean let alone time to myself. You give me new ideas on how to clean things that I didn’t even know could be cleaned! Also, when I clean my gas stove, I am careful when cleaning around where the gas comes out of. But I will say. I have gotten cleaner down in there and it didn’t do anything. Idk if I got lucky but it happens almost every time! Thank you for your awesome videos😬 Doing youtube shorts is a good idea, I think we would all like that!!
This last time I cleaned ib did tick mine so we unplugged for a couple hours to reset it

Love your videos! I soak my gas grill grates and burners in hot water with dish soap. Then I scrub with bar keepers friend, dish soap, and a scrub brush!

Jamie I think your idea for shorts is good. Especially for how to clean this or that but I hope it won't take away from your longer videos! I tend not to watch the shorts videos as I use these videos to put on when I'm cleaning, but it would be cool to have shorts on how to do certain things.

We renovated our kitchen this year and did a single sink and it's great for big pots and pans and I can even fit my refrigerator shelves in there for deep cleaning!

I’m so glad you don’t feel the need to decorate your current house for Christmas. I’ve seen UA-camrs that move in December literally wrap their tree in bubble wrap to go into the moving truck because they’ve decorated their house already for content. One of the things I love about your videos is that you’re very down to earth and relatable! I’m just across the lake in Ontario and have been loving the unseasonably warm weather lately!!

I have a very similar stove as your parents. I put my grates and the burner elements in my dishwasher……😬🤷🏻♀️ I’ve never had an issue with cleaner getting in the holes. When I put it back together, I turn all of the burners on high to make sure any liquid that may have got in there burns/dries out.

I have a gas top and I've wondered the same thing! I usually take the metal covers off after spraying with oven cleaner so the cleaner doesn't get in the part the gas comes out, then put saran wrap on top let it sit over night and the next morning it all comes right off... Works wonders
Hi! We have a kärcher too but I typically use my window cloths. Our kärcher is old and isn’t doing a good job anymore, that’s why I use my cloths 🙈 Kärcher is a German brand and we live in Germany. I was surprised that it’s pretty expensive in the US. We have to buy about 50€-75€ for a whole set (vacuum, spray bottle) 😮 my mother in law has a newer one and she has to clean a lot of windows in her house. This thing is helping her so much and taking off so much work! 😊

so excited for your future home and new neice!! may I offer a little advice on packing up? (sorry I'm a Navy brat so we moved alot). towels and linens are awesome to wrap glass dishes and ceramic/breakable things in. you pack two things at once. at this point it's ok to condense pack all but enough dishes/towels last a.week (example I have a family of 3 so there glasses plates silverware and 3 towels per person since dishes and laundry are every day never ending chores lol) you can even do it with clothes. enough clothes for a week like mix and match outfits and 2 Sunday outfits for.church and special. I have done this all my life and it really helps when your in that overwhelming last minute pack stage. hope this helps!
oh also use up those excess Walmart bags for padding as well!
I have a double sink. I love mine. Since I have a baby I can wash all his bottles, bowls and spoons in one side with his special dish soap and the rest of the family’s on the other side with dawn dish soap
We just updated our counters to quartz and with that Reno we also changed from a 50/50 split sink to a single bowl sink. I LOVE IT! so much easier for washing things like big cookie sheets and cutting boards.

Jamie! Ok I did something wrong. It didn’t work for me. I put a dish towel and hung it where 3/4 was on the inside of the washer once the drying process began. But still my dishes were really wet. Any ideas?

I like the idea of the short videos, especially for recipes. I saw your reel on this one. So many times I try to find a recipe I saw in a video and it’s so hard. I think they would be valuable. Still will tune in for the long ones because I need the inspiration! My kitchen got a little out of control today and it made me so anxious. Felt way better after tidying and doing the dishes. The struggle is real!

My 2 yr old daughter has been recently copying my 7 yr old son when it comes food preferences as well! I’ve starting implementing a new rule that we keep our opinions and reactions to ourselves at the table. That has helped a ton! He can either whisper it to me or tell me afterward what he didn’t care for.
We just started doing that too! It’s been frustrating but we are learning too!
I love my big sink. Our old house has the divided, and I hated how cramped it would get with cookie sheets and pans. Plus, when my second kiddo came along I could bathe her in the big sink as a baby. 😊 I know it makes for great content for your channel, but I think it’s so sweet that you clean your parents’ home. One day I bet your girls will be helping you in the same way while you spend time with their babies. ❤

I purchased two Christmas 🎄s and even though I won't decorate them until Thanksgiving day, I took them out and fluffed them up already. I am a stay at home mom of 2 a 3 year old and almost 1 year old they never stop going once they wake up in the morning, your videos give me that motivation to get up and go get my house the way I like it and makes me less anxious!

I find having a schedule with certain items blocked out helps me. Usually, If I start with the smallest and easiest task (make my bed or wipe down one counter) helps change my mindset. Also, add your favorite most upbeat song to your phone and play it

First off, I’m sorry you deal with depression. While I have never dealt with true depression, there are certainly times where I am down, sad, angry, and just feeling blue. For me, having a house that has picked up, really eases my anxiety and relaxes me. So that’s usually my motivation to get started because I need that relief when I’m done. But I do like starting with something small to kind of warm myself up. It could be starting a load of laundry, or making my bed. There’s some thing about hearing the laundry going that makes me feel like I’m being productive in someway. Something else that helps is putting on some music that I haven’t heard in ages! So songs from when I was in middle school or high school. Or even college. Those old-school tunes that bring up so many memories and just remind you of a simpler time! I hope this helps and keep up the good work! 😊

You don’t want to get anything down in the gas lines. You can take the round cap off but nothing else..Also use less cleaner. A hot damp towel will loosen a lot of stuff.

Hello. I clean houses for a living and live on one of the Azores islands of Portugal. Here everyone always used gas stoves, but now a days some people are buy electric stoves. But to answer your question about cleaning your gas stove top. Your are doing a good job, but the only thing I would say. If you do stray any product first spray it with the gas plates on, ( I all not know what the name for it either). Then take the plates and the other parts off, and try to clean the stove top with as little water as possible. I have cleaned for years and nerve had any problems cleaning this way. As for the racks you can put it in the dishwasher every week. I hope this information will help you. 🥰
