- This is a simple macrame tree of life made on a wooden bead. It can be a nice keychain or wall hanging decorations. The Tree of Life is an ancient mystical symbol appearing in various cultures from the Mayans to the Celts, Buddhism to Nordic mythology.
The Tree of Life symbol is commonly depicted as a large tree with roots that spread inward to the ground, and branches that spread outward to the sky. This represents the interconnected nature of all things in the universe; an eternal bonding of the physical realm we are rooted in, and the spiritual realm we are reaching for. The Tree of Life serves as a reminder of our universal connection to the Mother Earth, and our dependence on her to grow and flourish.
You will need 17-20 nylon or polyester waxed cords 50-60cm long, it depends on size of wooden beads.

Hello! Thank you very much for the tutorial, very cool tree of life! Tell me, if I want a smaller tree, such as yours is woven with blue threads. How many threads do I need to take?
Threads numbers will depend on the Thickness of the thread and diameter of a bead. For smaller life of tree, I used brown small wooden bead (8mm) and used 12 cords 40-50 cm long.
For this project, we don't have any specific rules, we can change many things like numbers of thread or numbers of leaves.. It depends on how you imagined your tree.

It was 10mm bead, if you have bigger one, you can use it, but you have to use more threads and you will get more branches! It will look more beautiful 🙃
