- Vanessa Allen is an Aboriginal Community Worker who lives on Groote Eylandt, NT, Australia.
Working in the remote Angurugu Health Centre in a multi-disciplinary team, Vanessa has recently completed her Certificate III in Community Services. This video profiles her daily job and explores her reasons for wanting to take up the role. Vanessa also describes the training that she needed to undertake to attain her qualification.

my dream is to become a Aboriginal Community Worker. I feel disconnected from my culture and i know only way to learn my culture is get among it. And experience it first hand. I am atm studying to be a youth worker though online study. I have a long way to go but so keen to work in a remote aboriginal community. this video is inspiring.
