A while ago, I worked on a fun project outside of my regular sketchbook. I used an accordion sketchbook to go on a virtual trip to Malta. I used reference pictures to draw, and to learn about Malta a little bit more, because I will be traveling there for real in November this year.
I'll be teaching an urban sketching vacation workshop (and you can join me!), hosted by Brenda Murray from Studio56boutique in Malta, an archipelago smack in the middle of the Mediterranean!

The bookbinder in me thought, Oh, what a great idea - I will make one of those accordion books! I like how one is limited in this way. You bring a small watercolour set and a small book and you're ready to go.
If you can make it, do it! It'll even be more fun working in it when you made the book yourself.

Koosje, this is so inspired! I’m headed back home to London next month and also picked up an accordion sketchbook from Etchr to document my two week stint there. Admire the way you framed those glorious vistas! Ta!

‘ x ‘ has the sound of ‘sh’ in English like in shoe !

Could you please try to draw with alcohol markers???
I don't work with alcohol markers, but I'm sure you'll find other artists here on UA-cam who are good at it.
