Building this around Strategist helps with generating rockets with the new Titan Exotic Chest which I'm pretty sure buffs the damage of the sidearm, making a solid gameplay loop

I've been using The Call and Eyes of Tomorrow with that exotic chest piece and it's awesome. Huge burst damage.
Add in Buried Bloodline to give yourself devour, weaken + void overshields (from kills against weakened targets artifact), and you use the call for most things but pull out Buried to re-proc devour/heal yourself.

I've found that golden tricorn only cares about your super matching the weapon, so with a strand super, ANY powered ability will get you to x2, such as gunpowder gamble, withering blade, etc.

@@Thanatos6669 Specifically separated teselation and osmosis to just be grenades, not super. Tricorns description mentions it cares about the ability matching the damage type of the weapon, which is what we were expecting to work. Doesn't say anything about matching super, it's likely just leftover behavior pre prismatic.
Once it is fixed I have some pretty silly builds to try out, that don't involve running silk strike.

No hesi is nice but I’ve still been using exotic primaries like gunshot or graviton cuz I swear their “nerf” was nonexistent
Until the heal clip incandescent rocket sidearm comes out. Then you can use a kinetic weapon.
Clenching my asshole for the inevitable nerf. Rocket sidearms are SO strong right now there’s no reason to use any other specials. Everyone is using The Call and Indebted Kindness.
Would most likely involve a hit to their reserves if a nerf were to happen, since sidearms have such good ammo economy/reserves for their damage output that they can effectively substitute primaries. It's what makes them so good right now. Not that I of course would want any such nerf to happen.
@@ackers5861 honestly I’d rather a reserves nerf than a damage nerf, they’re in such a good spot right now damage-wise; strong enough to deal with majors from a distance, while shotguns still output more damage with the risk of needing to be close. They strike a nice medium between shotguns and snipers as a fantastic midrange major killer.
I think since bungie is known to let us have our fun with this kind of stuff I imagine the nerf might come sometime after the solar one comes out

Combining this with no hesitation and just relying on super/power weapons for damage is peak synergy with the artifact mod (in team play)
Homie forgot it has Desperate Measures. Practically a permanent 30% dmg buff and can activate with it stowed. Melee kills, grenade, or other weapon. Also can refresh so once full it stays until all ads are dead

@@mohbius2 other difference is that Golden requires ability type matching the weapon's type, and that DM is refreshable on any tier with just any kill. it's significantly more accessible than Tricorn and calling it worse Tricorn's a little disingenuous imo lol
@@mohbius2 essentially, easier to proc as it gains stacks for grenade/ melee/ weapon kills of any kind with it stowed as well.
@mohbius2 golden tricorn requires ability to match damage type, while desperate doesn't. Thats the trade off. Also i may be wrong, but tricorn you cant refresh with more kills, while desperate can.
@@mohbius2The best part about it is you can refresh the buff with weapon kills. With Tricorn you have to alternate weapon then ability or it falls off. Great if you always have an ability up or if you're sure that ability is going to get a kill. Just some of the main differences!

I love Slice + Vorpal on this thing with the new titan exotics. Pop your barricade, get 35% boost to rockets which works with The Call, then reduce the damage of any champ or yellow bar you shoot because slice, and extra 15% damage to them because vorpal. The synergy is just insane on that, must have for high tier content imo.
This, but I'm running warlock and find it works great to pop a well and then reduce the champ/boss damage while my hellion ignites them to death.
I like this but I prefer thruster as it’s instant and still launches the rockets but that’s just me

This weapon with Slice and the new Titan armor that makes barricades shoot rockets must be amazing. You sever targets and attack with increased DPS together.
It is such a good combo. I can’t put it down. I’m running Hazardour Propulsion and The Call with slice and Vorpal. Way too much fun

Ive been running Lead from Gold and Desperate Measures with my Banner of War melee titan and holy shit this thing is amazing.
Pretty much 100% uptime on a 30% buff that refreshes on kills with the weapon, and ammo never runs out.
I've been running beacon since day one, it's nice just lazily waving the thing in the general direction of an an enemy and still getting the kill.

It’s nice but does seem like a waste compared to other stuff you can put on it.
If you aren't a 1% player, Beacon Rounds is a good option- it's really good for a dad gamer. The thing that's really nice with Beacon Rounds is they let you get hits with little effort. It reminds me a bit about the "Money Ball" idea- it's not home runs that wins, but getting on base. Same thing with shots- getting hits is the thing that ultimately gets kills and procs a lot of other perks. With Beacon Rounds proc'd you don't really have to aim, and you will still get hits. This is really helpful in situations where missing is particularly costly, like you are being rushed by a lot of enemies, or when you are trying to make hits while under fire. BR also, once proc'd lets you use the the thing like a scout rifle, hitting targets across the map. I run BR/Desperate Measures for an easy proc'd damage buff, which you will have almost constant uptime with BR and high enemy density.
Lastly, I've noticed that it seems to have a really high % of precision hits if you aim higher. I need to get it craftable or get a Beacon Rounds/Threadling roll to drop, as I think that could be pretty crazy. I had the zone perk on last night in the Pale Heart where strand kills cause threadlings, and it was ridiculous how many threadings I generated, and from a long way aways, very safe distant enemy clearing.
I'd say the biggest downside with it, is it runs the risk of making you lazy with your aiming.
Crafted Enhanced Lead From Gold+ Enhanced One for All today. Looked up different god rolls people spoke of and I settled on it. I may have to give this a shot also though.
Subsistence on a random roll was a pretty sweet perk too.
Lead from Gold + One for All has been my go to for endgame content like dungeons and raids. Once one for all is up yellow bars go poof. And thanks to Lead from Gold it’s essentially a primary.
Is it just me or did you just skip over desperate measures? It’s golden tricorn but it works on ability element for lower damage. Makes what you’re complaining about with golden tricorn a non factor
I prefer one for all it’s a near constant 35 percent and you don’t have to think.

Use Strategist if you are a Titan to help get that class ability ready for missiles from the new chest piece.
my only problem with this weapon is that the new solar one from this episode looks even better with its perk pool, so as soon as that one is out, i might switch, which is fine because there are a lot of good exotics and other specials in the kinetic slot that i can combine with this

Slice is great on the combination blow prismatic hunter build, I just can’t figure out how to guarantee the severed enemy spawns a tangle.
So far it feels like anything that dies in one shot while Slice is up does not spawn a tangle on kill.

The only thing I don't understand about golden tricorn is it doesn't go to x2 on Prismatic unless you're super is also the same element of the gun.
It should just work as long as your melee or grenade matches the element of your gun, not your super
Oh that’s what’s happening, for the life of me I could not get golden tricorn to work even though I was getting matching ability kills, it being tied to the super makes no sense
Did some of my own testing with Implosion Rounds and some mag options.
Implosion rounds and/or blast radius/velocity appear to have no effect on damage dealt on Carl. Tested with two crafted exact copies (minus implosion rounds for tact mag on the second) and same light level (1990) and vorpal weapon. No damage changes between the two were seen. 2502 for impact and 11553 for the explosion. Hazardous Propulsion did bump those numbers at max hits with 3377 impact and 15596 explosion damage.
Now, similar to Indebted Kindness. Magazine size can change your reserves. Numbers are gonna read “base/x3 reserves”
Tactical Mag: 51/65 (51 no backup mag mod)
Extended Mag: 48/61
Appended Mag: 44/56
Implosion Rounds: 47/60 (46 no backup mag mod)
I find it so strange that he talks up Demolitionist and Golden Tricorn (forcing Strand), when Desperate Measures is literally right there. Weaking Vortex grenades and Prismatic grenades are so strong on Warlock and loop seamlessly with Demo+Devour.
Not sure if you found out yet, but it looks like you dont have to match the element of the gun with your ability damage, just your super has to match the gun if I've tested correctly, guessing its a bug due to not needing to worry about prismatic before.

No, at least not from my testing. Used 2, one had 50 and one had 30 blast radius and they did the same damage
I first crafted a beacon hatchling roll which is good but my go to has been subsistence+vorpal. In salvations edge I was doing the center plates but I was also a lament strongholds user. That phalanx shield is a pain to deal with. For some reason laments anti-barrier just doesn't work great on it so I crafted that subsistence vorpal roll and its been my favorite. But now that we are out of contest and dont need me on strong holds I just use witherhoard.
Not to mention, the gun looks so clean.
It’s the unused vestian dynasty model with the longer “over-under” barrel(s).

Adrenaline junkie is incredible. Especially since you’re killing 2-3 enemies in one shot, it’s just run and gun and no thought.
I just crafted one with both Enhanced Demolitionist and Desperate Measures, the latter because of easy activation and you have 4 four abilities for it (2 from light/darkness and 2 from prismatic). I am using Getaway Artist with Arc Soul and Stasis Turrents and Devour. So filling the battlefield of Stasis Turrents and using Arc Buddy. I am using Sunshot or Red Death Reformed whether Solo, otherwise with teammate I am using No Hesitation with Physic and Desperate Measures.
In the Raid that you did show, you don't need to be the paramedic exclusively, the Stasis Turrents and Arc Buddy will help the team do crowd control and be safe and you can help the team with damage too.
This paired with a strand warlock and the new journal perk for tangles is probably the most fun I've had in a while adds appear and then disappear in the next second

I have been using auto load chill clip riptide for prob 2 yrs now. Hasn’t come off my kinetic slot. This gun has replaced it finally. It’s sooooo good. Just 1 tapping the annoying birds makes me happy:D
Beacon Rounds x4 have really strong tracking, which is nice so you don't have to aim as much for the further away enemies.. I'm not sure if it lowers damage, like heavy rockets, though?
My go-to loadout on prismatic Titan has been this, caster frame ergo sum with telesto perk (still waiting for wolfpack rounds version to drop), Apex Predator and the Hazardous Propulsion chest exotic. Works great in both add clear and dps situations.
does anyone know if golden tricorn is fixed or not?
I never considered Golden Tricorm back in the day because I didn’t want to incorporate ability kills. However with our new prismatic builds with constant ability spam plus the constant easy kills with this gun… I’m just now realizing you could probably proc goldren tricorn essentially endlessly (reproc it after it runs out) just by using it normally. Especially with my prismatic getaway artist bleak watcher build. Using this as a primary your getting constant kills with it… while turrets are getting kills constantly also. Definitely crafting this when I get on tonight.
I haven’t been able to shape anything new since TFS launched because the game immediately crashes. I’ve had this unlocked for almost a week 😭
subsistence + OfA for my perks. hits hard, never reload. the no exotic is real, ive been running microcosm because i never feel i need an exotic primary and it fills my transcendence up all the time
i'm new at the game and was looking for op guns videos and somehow this video was showcasing the exact 2 guns i was rocking lol, i guess i'll just keep using them 😂
I would say, if played the right way, LFG (Lead from Gold) and OFA (One for All), would be your Indebted Kindness 2.0, since The Call can't get Voltshot because its a Strand Damage Weapon, and if anyone has not played Warlord's Ruin yet as well, but depending on your playstyle, there are so many good combos you can craft or get on The Call, especially if you're going for an "All-Out" Combo for Damage and abilities build, I would say Demo or Strategist (Demo for Class Ability), mixed with OFA or any DPS Increse perk for your Damage spot in the fourth column.
Honestly feel like OFA and Beacon Rounds would be better, with focus on blast radius. Procs OFA more often, 35% flat damage increase, which is better than Desperate Measure's max of 30% and beats Golden Tricorn's 10% (unless you get a strand melee or grenade kill, then it's 50%, granted).
I love my Beacon Rounds, Adrenaline Junkie, Hard Launch & Flared Magwell roll. They combo well together and I am pretty much getting carried through the Legendary Campaign with it. Team it with my Pro Memoria roll of Reconstruction Bait & Switch and I’m cooking with these new Guns 💪
I think the only thing that'd stopping me from using this is how much I love still hunt, but even then the call has me considering building around double special
Honestly double special is the way to go. Especially with how much ammo drops now and specs that help you get more
I was SLEEPING on Desperate Measures, probably because it was so bad on the BRAVE weapons, but now i love it. It's basically a better version of Golden Tricorn and Adrenaline Junkie, personal god roll is Demo/Desperate Measures 👍
I kind of feel bad with Tusk, because I really wished for a Strand wave frame, but when I got this during the campaign, I couldn't take it off. Ammo economy is so good, does decent damage, great range, and I want to think Slice helped while doing the legendary campaign, synergizes with Hazardous, etc. I do wish it gotten chain reaction, and this weapon would be perfect. Also don't like the design, but I can live with with all the positives It has.
So one perk combo I've been loving but I'm missing one one aspect on Titan to maximize it but I think you need to give it a try is Lead From Gold/Desperate Measures as with the Consecration Aspect and running Frenzied Blade you can basically keep up DM x3 all the time as long as the Add density is high.
I kinda like subsistence desperate measures as my all around sidearm, nothing really tops it for me (the ability to ignore the need to reload and that 30% damage buff that can be refreshed on any kill is just so damn nice)
actually like deadass why was the perk not mentioned? It's not dogshit, I'd use it more often than multikillclip that's for sure, even in master content you don't need a full 50% damage increase you oneshot like every ad, and if you're using just a rocket sidearm to take out majors you're kinda throwing. the entire niche of rocket sidearms is to become a primary weapon for double special so their job is not to kill every enemy in the encounter. like if you're rocking this and a primary weapon okay but there's no actual situation other than you ran out of ammo (from trying to kill majors with it, no doubt) that you would ever need to pull out the primary ammo weapon.
and then there's just subsistence I don't like to reload this slow gun :)
I had this roll from engram... And dismantled it because I used Demo/Hatching on my Titan a lot more, the amount of Strand debuffs I was spreading through my Legend Campaign playthrough was just hilarious 😅
The call with subsistence + 1 for all & if I am doing harder content dbl rocket side arm it with the indeted kindness with volt shot, & a crux with reconstruction& bipod. When just farting around open world or playing with other I run the call with a no hesitation with subsistance + incandescent & pro memoria with reconstruction + desperate messures. Desperate messure or golden tricorn on a heavy machine gun while in song of flame shreads yellow bars & isnt terrible DPS for those of us prone to blowing ourselves up.
I just got my 5th red border to craft it. Had been running beacon rounds & vorpal since the campaign.
Its just really good dps against tanky yellow bars.
Still undecided what build im going to use for my warlock since the well nerf.
Dont sleep on golden tricorn lil cousin desperate measures tho..1 kill is just 10% but it’s something then just get another nade kill or melee for 20% at x2..then another nade or melee for 30% at x3..the melees dnt have to be powerful and none of this has to match your subclass..just weapon kill alone can constantly refresh the perk..fun to use

Beacon Rounds > all funny how everyone does DPS and strats with the concept of 'never missing' but shooting this thing you miss a few times your DPS is down 3000k a shot or more... with beacon you basically never miss..
Its insane to me that nobody is going for One for all, super easy to setup, no kills required and 35% damage buff gor 10 seconds. Like what?? That procs with 1 shot alot of the time since blast radius doesnt effect damage on this thing like it does on rocket launchers
I havent used Riptide since my first drop of The Call. Demo and Golden Tricorn. I never took it off through the whole campaign. My next roll was Beacon Rounds/Vorpal and that has been nice as well.
using this with a enhanced incandescent enhanced heal clip lunas, hard launch, implosion, enhanced slice, enhanced desperate measures The Call and Gally and HOLY HELL is it amazing. lunas for adds then switch to the call with 3x desperate proc-ed for mini bosses and bosses and they drop like flies
I love Golden Tricorn or Desperate Measures with Demo or Strategist for Strand Grapple Melee Builds myself. For pinnacle activities though lead from gold + vorpal is my go to for that passive damage and what seems like an unlimited flow of ammo with LFG.
I'm a big fan of beacon rounds actually. really helps not having to aim and I just fire way more often. Ammo isn't really a problem like you said, and I run vorpal atm but if golden tricorn was working id prob run that
To me this is one of the best guns Bungie has ever made. Especially as a solo player it takes chunks of life from majors and bosses BIG time. I myself never take this gun off, your absolutely right it is extremely good.
Lead from gold + 2x strand reserves gives 70 bullet total! (72 with 3x strand reserves)
But not worth using 3. Better off with one extra reserves for heavy weapon.
I hit 200k slam with risk runner sword today, I crafted a sword build with mask of bakris. I’m gonna keep going and become a ninja, I already got like 4k kills with that one
I think desperate measures is really underrated. I crafted mine with demo and desperate and its really good with knockout prismatic titan/combination blow prismatic hunter to easily get x3 and then re-proc it with every kill with the sidearm.
Keeping my strategy of not grinding anymore (like the rocket sidearm in the dungeon) because I know any new crazy reward will be added into a much easier to obtain loot pool shortly after. And here again, it happened!
Warlock here, this weapon was my actual first drop of the new DLC, immedetely equipped it, subsistence Vorpal, have NOT taken it off once yet lol
Rocket sidearms are too good. Strong in close range. Strong in mid range. Decent at long range. Does single target well. Does AOE well. Amazing ammo economy.
I don't want them to be nerfed. But they're gonna be nerfed.
Slice & Vorpal is crazy! Use your abilities to proc Slice, then hit them with Vorpal to do even more damage all while your abilities also do damage. . I haven't even craft it yet.
I love this so much compared to indebted kindness or whatever it’s called, bc it feels smooth and doesn’t kick me in the nuts every time I shoot it
I really tried liking this but I really don’t think I it’s all it’s hyped up to be. I would rather use something else. Midnight coup for instance. Unless I’m running double special

Demo and multi kill clip is awesome on this and then I get thredlings from it from the travelers benefit. Lord 😂!

This is like heal clip/incandescent lunas for me. I haven't taken it off since I got it. It carried me through solo legend campaign without much difficulty.
My first one had Beacon Round and Desperate Measures. sounds crappy but i haven't put it down since i got it. i even have a few better ones but in general PVE this one is always working.
Why doesnt anyone like desperate measures? It procs when your not even using the gun. So if your using abilities to kill then swap to the gun its already at times 3. Maybe not for mastwr content but for general play its great

Jokes aside, this is one of those guns I might hafta craft twice. Haven't done that since Deliverance.
one for all is fat better than tricorn, for tricorn you need ability kill for that 50%, but your watchers won`t even proc it. So better to settle for 35% with 3 for 1, coz you only need to hit an enemy.
The game counts it as a primary in terms of ammo drops. Using this with double special will result in the same amount of special bricks. Lead from gold helps with ammo economy too

My l3ad from gold one for all roll is my favorite. I have a slice hatchling roll is surprisingly good with my strand build with new exotic chest.
Golden tricorn isn't bugged. On prismatic you have to run a strand super and ability to proc it because it's a strand weapon not a prismatic weapon, duh....

You know golden tricorn works if you have needle storm selected for your prismatic super.. not sure if you just over looked the fact you have song of flame on?
