@@ErikJohnstonyes sir, my kids and I had the opportunity to support 518, the TA-4, when she was based here in Seattle. When Jerod took over her reigns, it was great to see her in the air doing her thang! The Vietnam era aircraft and any Century series fighters are simply an amazing part of history.
Excellent video. I take it the forward shots were done with the Ray Ban Metas. If so, very clear picture. Also, the wide angle shot at the end with the canopy open definitely put a smile on my face.😁 As always, thanks for the video Erik!
12.21.24 Beautiful livery. I like the ground crew teamwork. What struck me was the abysmal cockpit ergonomics. If that is a fixed seat with only adjustable rudder pedals, I would have to pass on flying/owning this A1. If the seat is adjustable and Pinky choses that position to fly, I find that odd. Thanks for the video.
Beautiful and BIG aircraft! Hope to keep seeing these Vietnam era aircraft flying.
They’re still a great sight to see!

Thank you for the start up and preflight too. My dad talked about the Spads on the Oriskany. This is great to see and hear.
What a monster !!! Good work Eric from Charlie at THE SOUTHERN MUSEUM OF FLIGHT. 😊
Vietnam ,,This Pilot is flying one amazing aircraft
love the Rayban camera glasses! great idea! hope to see more of them in the future!
Man...the rumble of a old school radial. What a remarkably powerful aircraft.
Those Ray Ban camera glasses are awesome! It's neat to see flying from the pilots perspective. Love the Spad!

Pinky is in fact that guy pal
If you looked hard enough, somewhere back during the Vietnam War, you'd find a Skyraider with a kitchen sink under a wing.
