Great job Tony my dad used STP in all the cars ! i cant find Kioti oil even at the dealers !!! have a great weekend ! Kioti Curt :-)
Is this the the same as the hydrolic tank?? Is this the same tank for the hydrolic lines? Or check the retracted cylinders?
Tony, What weight was the hydraulic fluid? I am going to use the 46 weight instead of the 32 when I do My change but, do you know what they use when they deliver it?
I used premium universal hydraulic fluid which is usually a 10W30 base oil.
I’m low on Hydraulic fluid, and what is that Lucas bottle you’re using?
Good content Tony ! Appreciate you! I have a NH 1520 , a BX 24 , and a Scag Turf Tiger , and I enjoy working on them almost as much as operating them. Once on my BX the threaded boss that the engine oil filter screws on to had backed out about 2 complete turns ! From then on any time I change a filter I always check to make sure the threaded boss is tight ! Be safe and God bless !!!! Eddy
Thanks for the video. I never see any information for the MT225s. Are the filters, etc. the same as for the MT125?
I don't own or have any connections to LS tractor any longer. I did see one of the 225s at the show.
Is the HST filter the same as the oil filter? If not can u post the filter name and model? Thanks. I enjoyed all your videos.
The HST filter can only be order at the dealer last i heard. I no longer have the tractor.
after I saw ya use Lucas Products I just had to hit the sub. button . Thanks for the vids
Question. I have the identical tractor and unfortunately I took it to the LS dealership for servicing and when I got it home and parked it most of the hydraulic transmission fluid leak down. In the book it calls for LSTH 400G transmission oil other than the dealership I would not know where to find this I hate to drive back to the dealership which is quite a ways from my house is there another brand that is compatible and readily available?
Any ”Premium Universal Hydraulic Transmission Fluid” will work. Tractor Supply, Walmart, Napa, etc sells compatible oils. They meet all requirements.
I know you've moved on to TYM, but thanks for keeping these LS videos up and running. I just did this hydraulic service on my MT125 today using the info you provided in this video.
I am glad it helped. My old MT125 is still going strong. A family member bought it and it has not missed a beat.
Since you have owned different brands of tractors, what do you think of Branson?
Branson is now owned by TYM. TYM makes Tractors for themselves and many others brands. Many Mahindra, RK tractors, Zetar, and McCormick tractors models are bought from TYM and sold under their own brand. I have heard good things about TYM and Branson. No personal experience.
Thanks again Tony, I sure would like to see you produce a CD or flash drive of your maintenance videos and sell them. maybe something like $19.95 plus shipping and handling, but wait, as a added bonus a Tony's Tractor Adventure hat. just pay an added fee.
Thank you my friend. That means a lot to me. I put most of it on UA-cam.
Tony excellent series of your maintenance! Always appreciate you sharing your knowledge! John
Tony, LS should really consider putting you on the payroll. LOL Thanks Tony, for another great video in your service video series. All the things you talk about can be useful to any tractor owner.
No! Thank you for all the time you put in to your videos. I really enjoy them and I've learned a lot from you my friend.
Again, a very informative and excellent video! It was a very good series of videos.
My local shop is out of stock of the HST filters for my 125. I can't seem to find a replacement filter. do you know of any aftermarket HST filters that will work instead?
They are proprietary. Most tractor companies HST filters are proprietary.
@@TonysTractorAdventure well thats heartbreaking. Thanks for the knowledge sir!
Try Bob's Tractor in McEwen, TN or Smith's Enterprise in North Carolina.
Anymore as long as it's not a rush job i try to use factory hydraulic filters on things. I've had a few bad experiences with aftermarket filters. Both times they filtered too well, first starved the pump of fluid, the second didn't have enough flow rate for cold fluid and blew the seal along with 15 gallons out on the ground. Filters are cheap, hydraulic components are not.
Love the maintenance series videos. I like the idea of the additive in the hydraulic system. While my tractor in reality gets no real use for me personally I'm going to skip the total hydraulic change. But when I do the 50 hour I'll top off with the additive you used to add what is lost with the filter change. Thanks again!
Lucas can cause major problems in some applications. Not sure if it’s an issue or not in this one, but I’d highly recommend rethinking it as your “go to” .
Like what specifically?
I have been using Lucas for years. No issues
Tony..... what oil and viscosity did you use for the transmission / hydraulics ??
Tony's Tractor Adventure Thanks tony... I think I may have a leak back there.. it’s a little wet on the transmission case
Another Great video Tony, I just wanted to let you know the HF sells a Battery Operated Liquid Transfer Pump that should fit in the 5 gallon barrel, and pump the oil in rather than lifting and poring that 5 gallon barrel and no need for funnel for about $10.00. They also sell the magnet bowls. I have watched just about every video about the MT125 that you have made. I hated to see you change to the larger LS tractor (it means no more videos on the LS MT 125) I have learn a lot from you, so have many, many other folks. By the way I should be picking my MT 125 on Monday or Tuesday. A subscriber from south west Washington State.
P..S. I gave you a thumbs up on each one and rang the bell. Everyone should make a video (weather they post it or not) of when they service their equipment.
TYM Tractor has asked me to demo their Tractors on my channel and give an honest review. While doing this, I can't promote any other tractor brand. Your little blue tractor will serve you well.
@@TonysTractorAdventure That's too bad for us LS tractor owners. Hopefully someday LS will sponsor you.
They have plenty of chances. I am moving forward with TYM. They make a really good tractor too. I still have many friends at LS and I wish them the best.
