Now that I think about it putting all the characters at level 99 maybe wasn't such a great idea. It made sure that everybody learned all possible moves but it makes the damage numbers a bit wrong. What I mean by that is that many of the attacks in lisa have damage based more on the base damage value than the character's attack stat. So a move that has a lot of base damage will be op early on but it won't change the damage that much across the levels and may seem weak on level 99. So yeah, take the damage numbers with a grain of salt. And sorry that I have thought of this just now.
Actually, that is okay as they normally scale and you DID say it's at 99. If you want to do it at more of a endgame comparison, do it at 25 using the best equipment which I know isn't being used here. This is because my Mad Dog consistently hits for 3k+ using Nail Rake while this one only dealt 2k and something similar for Terry. This is somewhat of a disservice for most characters as their full potential is locked still behind some gear
Shame that as a party member he's kinda meh. Not only is he a Joy Addict (which means without Joy he's basically useless), the way you get him is to play Russian Roulette. In which there are high chances you'll lose a party member (or most of em).
Thank you for making this video, I did not know until watching it that Buffalo could do a Psycho Crusher and a captain falcon style explosive grab. I also did not know that Ollie actually seems like a decent party member since he can inflict scare and fallen on a whole crowd of enemies.
i really wish tiger man was better for combat. he's cool, but i do gotta also say terry, rage, and carp are also my favorites. they all have such good personality.
Wow, so it looks like some moves don't change much in power? Example, Nern's Finger Beam 5 and 6. Or is it a change in defense piercing abilities, etc.?
@@venom_waz lol makes sense, so really only the second to last or third to last moves matter in the long term, concidering 50hp isn't much, even at the beginning of the game. *In terms of perserving SP*
I'll try to explain it as best as I can. Most damage in RPG maker (the games engine) is calculated like this: ex. 100(base damage of the attack) + users attack stat * 2 - target's defense stat * 2. But nern's finger beam instead of increasing the multiplication factor of the attack stat just increases the base value so for example: Finger beam 1=100 + a.mat * 5 - b.def * 2 Finger Beam 2 =120 + a.mat * 5 - b.def * 2. So it doesn't change that much. And there is also a set ammount of variance so that the attack doesn't do always the same ammount of damage. For example if the variance is set to 20 it may deal anywhere between 0-20 more damage. And yeah that's the damage system pretty much. There isn't armor penetration per say but a better spell might just lower the multiplication factor of the enemy's defense. But it isn't like that for every skill though. Oh and sorry if I wrote a bit too much.
Poison deals 10% of target's max health per turn, and the enemy I used to showcase the moves has a lot of HP. So that's why. But it is still op nonetheless.
I assume you mean in RPG maker Simple, just apply the “Alive” status Under normal circumstances, the enemy would only have that status until they reach 0 HP, which it then gets replaced with Dead However, they can’t die if the game never tells them to. As for level, that’s even simpler. Just go to the actor tab and bump up “initial level” to 99 Impossible to achieve either of these in game
