SMALL BLOCK CHEVY V8 VW BEETLE FLATBED RUNS 9.37 1/4 MILE

One of the cool cars I filmed out in Malta at Hal Far Dragway was this VW Beetle Flatbed, fitted with Small Block Chevy 383 V8, and putting in consistent mid 9 second runs, with a best of 9.37 at 141mph.

Not really a surprise it runs 9's with a V8 strapped to it.
Now, when Ritchie Webb ran 8's in his street legal convertible beetle or Marco Mansi squeezed out 400bhp and ran 10's in his wasserboxer powered beetle, THAT is a feat and a half 😉

Didn't read the description. I'm even more surprised Malta has a dragstrip as it's such a tiny but beautiful island.

@@ro63rto and its just got full go-ahead for an FIA approved upgrade in 2024 for the whole complex to be upgraded, and then Kart track upgrade, and then a motor racing circuit to be built around the outside. Big changes ahead
