Union minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani on Friday said that Rahul Gandhi's decision to not contest from Amethi Lok Sabha seat was a huge compliment from her, as she believes she was "extremely important for the Congress".
"For the Congress party to say that their entire strategy and energy was focused on me is a huge compliment because it means that I was extremely important to them," she said while speaking exclusively with India Today TV.
