I'm furious about Diaz. That rule is too arbitrary, and there could be a few reasons an umpire decides to implement it, none of them good. Edwin Diaz is not a cheater.
What a negative mark that the Diaz situation is going give the Mets. With the media in New York etc the focus is going be taken off the Mets good play lately and onto Diaz and the sticky substance. Won’t be surprised if something like this with the media attention puts pressure on Mets where they can’t fully play right for a few games.
55 year old Mets fan, driving 4 plus hours to see Yankees vs Mets Wed- this is a heartbreaker for a " watch every game" fan- is so sad to see the timing for the Mets!!!
Excellent commentary and love the channel. Wardy one constructive comment: Your rants are great and on point but the mic is too close and the volume becomes distorted and hard to listen to. I think if you lower the gain a bit it would help a lot. Keep bringing us your awesome input on the Amazin's.
He’s not a cheater,The Umps pulled a power move on the Mets. It Put a damper on the game. This is dumb move, Diaz was doing nothing that he hasn’t already done that past ump hasn’t checked for. Anyways should have least been given warning and washed hands. Overall upset
he should have asked if he could go and wash his hands; but he said he was willing to settle for the ejections?! What's weird is at the same time Diaz was called out, Sherzer made his debut, and did well
No, bruh i disagree, sticky substance is cheating it's not fair on the opposing team,, imagine it was the opposing closer who got busted you'll be elated right?
@@PeterJoseph76 If batters cannot use too much pine tar on the batt (like George Brett) then pitchers should not be able to use sticky stuff. The integrity of the game is important.
Those espn analysts suckneo much diaz getting ejected is nothing him missing 10 games and the mets not being able to call anyone up to replace him is the real sad part
It's kinda the end of the world for the next 10 games not only is diaz gone for 10 games but we can't replace a suspended player so we are short a roster spot
THEY! The MLB! Supply the rosin. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ The umpire union is ruining this league and NOBODY does anything about it. As long as fans shovel their money to the league and its sponsors the owners (investors) will continue to laugh all the way to the bank!
Stupid umpire has to ruin the fun for the Mets. Let sweep the Yankees who couldn’t beat the stupid Braves and then we have our worst enemies coming next weekend after the Yankees. It revenge time for the Mets LGM
Why stupid umpire? Why not stupid Diaz? If he really had sticky substance on his hand than he was cheating and trying to get an edge. Diaz the one putting the negative attention on the Mets.
@@benjaminwalters7800I agree with you this is on diaz just like it was on mad max when he cheated. What I hate is no one will talk about the Mets series win Monday or sevy start or the subway series but about Edwin diaz sticky substance and 10 gsme suspension now
Nah, being at the game last night, they had a good camera shot that showed what looked to be pine tar on his hand. It was a better view than I have found on the TV replays. He also had three items checked that they said were sticky. Then, on the last batter in the bottom of the 9th, the ump walked the catcher to the dugout to replace his mitt (shortly after the ejection). Nothing was said, but it appeared the "sticky substance" got on the mitt so they had him change it out.
It is the end of the world. The umpiring is incompetent. The Mets are done, without their closer. Take a sample of the stuff on his hand and then evaluate it. This is why I don’t go to games anymore.
Help us get to 350+ likes & 30K subs! Mets fans, what’s YOUR thoughts on Diaz’s ejection + NYM’s latest series win?
Diaz was caught sticky handed. Defending someone when they got caught makes the franchise look worse.

Peak Wardy, love the passion! Now we just need the bats to carry, for the rest of the month

Yes Drew was hurt.

The umpires and mlb should all be fired for this bs with the sticky substance 💩 it’s ruining the game we love.

How does this “sticky stuff “ rules work ? It seems to be at an ump’s discretion what decision to make

Funny how you are trashing on Yankees losing to Braves, while your fanbase is still whining about losing to Braves from 2 years ago.
Revenge time? For who? The Astros? Wtf did they do to us ever

Not justified!! Such BS

Come on, DIAZ doesn't need any sticky stuff or foreign substance to be effective.!! JUST CRAP, PURECRAP ON THE PART OF THE UMPIRES.
I love your commitment to the Mets but I think I tune in to see if you stroke out. Do some yoga... You have a kid!
McGill can close
😂😂😂😂😂
No, Nunez should close, bruh
Can Christian Scott come up and close????
